First Time Homebuyers credit?
I got the first time homebuyers credit when I bought my first home about 2 years ago with my now ex husband. We have the home for sale but haven't reduced the price at all because we are worried about having to pay back the homebuyers credit. I have been getting different stories about how it works to pay back...can anyone help us? We want to get rid of it as soon as we can but we don't want to end up not making anything on it. Thank you.

4 AnswersHair1 decade agoFirearms on Military Bases?
I am a Police Officer in the state of Minnesota. I travel a bit and go to a number of Military Bases outside my state. I have had conflicting thoughts on whether or not I can bring and carry my firearm on base. One MP threw the jurisdiction card in others have told me its not a matter of jurisdiction, that an officer is authorized to carry. Anyone know and have a reference maybe that I can know for sure?! Thank you.
3 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoArmy Wife Just Divorced?
I recently divorced my husband of 2 years who is a Sgt in the Army. He is currently deployed and we are having some trouble staying in contact. I need his active duty orders from 2008 for the mortgage on the house but because he was transferred to a different unit and naturally no higher up knows what the hell is going on does anyone know the easiest way to obtain his records. Even just copies, I dont need the originals. Thanks
1 AnswerMilitary1 decade agoDivorce and a VA Loan on the house?
My husband and I just bought a house together and ended up going with a VA loan (he is the vet). Well we are now getting a divorce and he wants me to have the house but wants his name off the house. How would this work with a VA loan? Is it even possible? We dont want to get lawyers involved (divorce is spendy enough without paying a lawyer) and hope we can settle this ourselves.

2 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoGas Mileage on a Pontiac Grand Prix Supercharged?
I am looking to get in to a car with better gas mileage right now. I have my eye on a 2007 Grand Prix GT2 that is supercharged. Now obviously it isn't going to get the same gas mileage as the same car without being supercharged, but I would like an idea of what to expect. It still has the 3.8 V6 in it. Thank you!
7 AnswersPontiac1 decade agoGas mileage of a 1978 Firebird?
It has the 350 engine in it. I figured on around 15-18 miles to the gallon (if I'm not using my lead foot). I keep getting different opinions from people on it though. I really want to buy this car as my summer car but I cannot afford the gas if it gets much worse than 15! So, any ideas?!

8 AnswersTattoos1 decade agoIs there an Italian Rose?
I am getting a tattoo and I wanted a rose in it, then someone mentioned that there is an Italian rose. I have heard of this before (of course, never paid any attention to it) and I was wondering where I can find a picture if it actually exists. If not, what are some "Italian" flowers?

Ok, I became friends with a guy who is over in Kuwait right now. He is due back October, but I would like to send at least one care package for him and the guys. I just need some ideas. Normally I would know, but I don't know him well enough to know what to send him.

12 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoPossible dairy allergy?
I have an appointment to get tested, but I would like to know a little more before then.
Whenever I drink half and half or milk my throat feels like it is kind of closing up. It does not affect my breathing though. This has only been happening for about the last month.
Does anyone else have a dairy allergy? What kind of testing is involved in determining if you have the allergy?

3 AnswersAllergies1 decade agoPercent of officers with a college degree?
About what percent of officers have a two year degree or more? Some states, like Minnesota, are obviously going to raise those numbers, since we are required to have a minimum two year degree.

I don't seem to have a problem with milk, but things like half and half seem to bother me. Whenever I drink it my throat kind of feels like it is closing up. I have not been able to find that as one of the symptoms but I can't think of what else it would be. This seems to be the only time it happens!

1 AnswerLaw Enforcement & Police1 decade agoOwning a home during Deployment benefits?
My husband will be getting deployed again in 2010. We had just expected to stay in our apartment this entire time, but with the economy and housing market the way it is we are looking into buying a house. We knew the benefits of renting, but we are not really sure about the benefits for owning a home. I have glanced through a couple websites and I am still a little confused. Thank you!
I live in Minnesota and I know the benefits we would get from renting (it would have been $999 a month) so I am looking for the benefits of owning.
