Something strange has happened to my Acer laptop. The cursor arrow is no longer changing into the little hand icon ( with the pointed finger ) unless the icons are about half-way down the webpage. This means that I can't log-on to, for example, my online banking because the ' log-on' icon is at the top of the screen and like I say, the arrow no longer changes into the little hand !! Anyone have any idea what the heck has happened ? ! Im running Windows Premium 7 . Many thanks.

I have a 160 litre Tropical, freshwater, aquarium with around 25 fish. I carry out a partial water change every week and have been vacuuming the substrate at the same time. This can be annoying because it often causes the live plants to become up-rooted. Do I have to vacuum the gravel every week or could it be done, say, every 2 weeks without causing a problem with nitrites etc ? Thankyou.

I have a Tropical, freshwater, 160 litre aquarium. On 2 occasions now, just after I've introduced 4 or 6 new fish, with perfect water quality ie nitrates, nitrites, ammonia etc I've lost a Bolivian Ram and a Golden Ram. All other fish have been ok. Are Ram's very susceptible to any changes ?

I don't know why but my inbox was bombarded with more than 87,000 emails so I changed my password then used system restore. The bombardment has stopped but Im now left with 87,000 emails so to delete them 1 page at a time ( 35 emails per page ) would take ages. Is it possible to quickly empty my inbox like I can with the spam and trash folders ? Thankyou.

I posted a question on BT Yahoo answers, like this, just after, upon checking my e-mail inbox I noticed I had several hundred emails and also several hundred in my trash and spam folders !! The current total is 789 and counting. What has happened and how can I stop it please ? ! Many thanks . PS> all of the emails make no sense whatsoever ! Just random words.

Hi, Ive got 2 Plecos, a rusty Pleco ( about 6 inches long ) and a Tiger Pleco ( still young, about 3 to 4 inches ). I have the proper algae wafer tabs, for plecos, some people say to put in 1 tablet every 3 to 4 days, others say 2 tabs every 3 to 4 days, others say 1 tablet every day ! I am also putting in frozen brineshrimp and daphnia etc for my other fish. I also drop in a slice of cucumber every few days. Any guidance re. the algae wafers much appreciated !

I have a Sony Ericsson K800i and an Acer Aspire 5553 laptop. I want to transfer some photos from the phone to the laptop. I installed the driver software, then plugged in a USB cable but nothing happened. I then tried using a dongle but the phone can't detect it. What do I do now please ? !

I have a 160 litre Tropical Freshwater aquarium, it has 4 cartridge filters, there are 2 filters in 2 seperate housings ( which holds the water after it is pumped up from the tank via the sponge filters ) , I clean the cartridge filters once a week and replace them ( on a rotational basis ) @ every 4 weeks. I've noticed that the filter housings have a significant build-up of brown matter / waste, like a filamentous type algae. How much should be allowed to accumulate / how often should I be rinsing out the actual housings ? Thanks.

Ive a 160 litre Tropical freshwater aquarium, it currently has Corydoras, loaches, tetras, gold rams, silver hatchets and 2 plecos. I was wondering if I should invest in a current maker ? Do you think the fish would enjoy some current in the water / tank ?

I've a 160 litre Tropical freshwater aquarium, all fish are perfectly healthy ( and shrimps too ). Whenever I have introduced new fish, 2 to 3 days later they are dead. I've had the water tested for salt, nitrites, nitrates, ph, hardnesss and the aquatics have said it is absolutely fine, perfect water, yet, any new fish wain and die ! I've been told I may have some kind of toxins in the tank ? Any ideas as to why my fish have died ? ( they were Gold Severums, an orange loach, yo-yo loach, striata loach and a red fin black shark ). I bought 2 fish a week ago ( I can't remember what they were called and their name is not on the shop receipt ! ) and put them in my 160 litre freshwater Tropical Aquarium. 1 of them has now got a kind of extra bulbous, gel-like, protruding cover / layer over / near it's eyes. The fish seems to be behaving fine ie swimming around jovially enough and all other fish are ok. What is this strange growth and Is there anything I can do about it ? Many thanks.

I have a 160 litre freshwater Tropical aquarium. It has 2 seperate external filters which do provide some water flow / current. But is this sufficient for my 2 plecos and my loaches ? I've read that loaches like current, as they do originate from mountain valley streams. However, you're never told this when you buy them ! If it makes the fish feel better I will buy one but will it be beneficial or not ?

I have live plants in my tropical aquarium, some of them have like a furry growth / filamentous hairs covering the leaves, some are worse than others, should I clean them or remove them or just leave them alone ? My concern is, of course, any adverse effects re nitrates , nitrites etc. Thanks.

I have a 160 litre freshwater Tropical Aquarium, I am slowly building my fish stock as I'm only into my 8th week. Currently I have 2 Plecos, 5 Silver Hatchets, 6 Glo-lites, 5 Corydoras. Of course, I have an air pump, powering an air stone. I don't know by how much to adjust the control valve thus how fast / how many air bubbles are streaming upwards into the tank ? I presume the more fish you have the faster you have the airstream ? Should it be a fairly gentle / slow stream or should I have it fast or does it not really matter ? Any advice much appreciated .

I have a Tiger pleco ( sometimes known as a Candy Stripe, I think ). I bought it about 5 weeks ago, all it ever does is hide in my ornamental Spitfire plane. I would love to see it more often so am tempted to remove the Spitfire and see what it does. The tank does have 2 decent sized pieces of Bogwood and over a dozen real plants, it's 160 litres. There is also a Rusty Pleco in the tank. Would it be ok to remove his current hiding hole ?

I have a 160 litre Tropical aquarium, it has 2 seperate external filters ( Slimline ), each filter houses 2 cartridges, thus 4 cartridges in total. I have been changing 2 filters at a time, every 4 weeks, on a rotational basis ie not changing all 4 at the same time. Is this the right thing to do ?
