  • Semi-Auto VS Pump-action felt recoil difference?

Right, SPAS-12 is dual mode, Semi-Auto and Manual-Pump.

Does the Semi-Auto mode have more or otherwise unwieldy recoil than the Manual-Pump mode? Does the shifting weight of the bolt make the recoil a bit different in any way?

  • 7.62x39mm increasing velocity?

Aside from overpressuring the round individually, what if the barrel was much more constricted as it is tapered?

The actual bullet diameter prior in being shot is 0.312, but comes out .300, so it's 0.312 to .300.

    What if it was 0.312 to .295, to .290, to .285, to .280, to .275, to .270?

What will be the muzzle velocity, and then the expected barrel life?

  • Ammunition and Cyclic Rates?

Is it true that certain ammunition somewhat speed up or slow down cyclic rate of certain guns?

Like if a round is much more powerful, it might increase the speed at which the bolt is unlocked and the reloading cycle might be sped up.

Likewise if the round is weak, it might take more time for the bolt to be unlocked and for the reloading cycle to take place.

    Is that true?

  • Tungsten Buckshot?

I've seen this Hevi-Shot buckshot, which uses tungsten pellets than regular lead pellets. I am aware that you shouldn't use this with a choke, and it costs so much, so let's put that aside.

Okay, so what is the point? What is it's advantages? Does it somehow make the pellets much more penetrative?

Since Tungsten is extremely hard and is not deformed as it is launched from the cartridge, would it be possible to abandon the cushion in the shot-cup thus giving more space for pellets and powder load?

  • Beating 5.56mm NATO with 7.62x39mm with range?

Right, the problem with 7.62x39mm or AK ammo is that it's slower with the 5.56mm, even with great stopping power the 5.56mm simply has better range.

Now looking at M16 vs AK47, M16 has 20 inch of barrel length while the AK47 only has 14 to 16-inches of barrel length.

Now, my question is that supposed that a Steyr AUG is customized to use AK47 Magazines and rechambered to use 7.62x39mm, with it's 20-inch barrel for standard to 26-inch barrel for HBAR that puts it about the same over all length as the M16 and AK47, does that increased barrel length will allow the 7.62x39mm to be as effective as the 5.56x45mm upon the same range?

  • L4D2 Explosive Rounds on shotguns?

I'm confused, does the explosive rounds on shotgun deal only the pellet damage, or all the collective damage of all of the pellets per shot in the entire AOE.

Does this mean that the shotguns are weaker with explosive rounds?

Supposed that HK416 has a custom magwell and barrel, and bolt carrier group if needed to use AK magazine and 7.62x39mm, would it be the best assault rifle in the world bearing great reliablity accuracy, low recoil, and familiarity of H'416 with one of the best implemented ammunition from AK47/M, (Dubbed "HK47")?
