  • Women: How often do you masterbate and how often do you examine yourself?

I'm asking this question academically so could we please keep it clean and keep it adult.

I am asking to question as a result of a medical discussion I had and the three questions I would like to ask are, do you masturbate, if so, how often? And how regularly do you examine your genital area, I.e. with a mirror to check everything is ok.

A best answer will be chosen on the basis of why someone thinks it is important to do so.

  • How long will it take the skin to heal?

I realise there are several answers to this but my question is a little different.

I got quite a nasty knock to the head on New Year's day. I fell and cracked the back of my head.

My head split and they had to glue the wound up at hospital. I know this may seem a little bad given that I am lucky to be alive, but how long will it take to heal. The blood has congealed in my hair so it isn't just going to fall off.

Best estimates are three days to two weeks, but I don't know how long to wait before drinking and I've got a seriously important meeting coming up and will need a haircut but don't want to aggravate the wound.

People describe wounds as shallow or deep and I don't know what this sort is. I want to sleep on my back and wear hats/hoodies again but I can't pull anything over it if it will open the wound. Obviously bleeding from the head, or the back of it is life threatening and I don't want to jeopardise that, so, how long should I wait? How should I play this?

  • I'm angry and want vengeance but the only way to do that would be to complete destroy someone's life. I don't know what to do. Help?

The following, for legal purposes is hypothetical.

A former friend of mine has been bad mouthing me and saying some pretty horrible things and I want vengeance.

He's also been on the fiddle with his benefits. I need to send a message out that people shouldn't take the mick out of me but would landing him with a fifteen month sentence in jail for benefit fraud be reasonable or proportionate? At the very least he'd be homeless and in the paper as being a benefit fraudster. I don't know what to do. I need some form of vengeance or acknowledgement and apology, otherwise I'm always going to be angry about it. I don't know what to. This is a completely at odds with the sort of person I am but on the other hand, he is breaking the law and was prepared for me to be in trouble with the police.

  • If someone has there privacy invaded, bur as a result they get caught doing something wrong does that justify the invasion of privacy?

I'll pose three situations to try and explain what I'm getting at.

Firstly, a man kills someone. He goes to church to confess it and in the other side of the confessional is not a priest but a police officer who is recording his confession. If this were the only way to catch the guy, would the police invading his privacy justify that?

The second situation: say that a husband has been meeting up with several different women and his wife suspects he is having an affair. She begins to check his mobile phone and social networks, facebook, Twitter, etc. She then comes across several messages in which she is cast in a bad light, along with some emails relating encounters that he has had with women where some kissing/light petting may have been involved. Is she justified in checking his phone and social networks because of what she found out? Does she have the right to continue to check it? Can she use what she found out given the nefarious way she found it out?

Third situation, say a man was pulled over by the police and they wanted to search his car believing he was carrying drugs. He wasn't and the police believed him after a thorough search of his car. What recourse would he have, given that he was doing nothing wrong?

  • Straw Poll: Would you have someone in for Christmas?

If someone's Christmas plans had been ruined due to transport problems and it looked as if they were going to spend Christmas alone, would you invite them to yours for Christmas dinner and so on?

If yes, may I ask why?

If no, may I ask what your reasons would be for turning them away?

  • Orange light of death on a Dell desktop?

I have a computer, a Dell desktop from 2007. I managed to resurrect it briefly in sheffield, for two days last week but I travelled with it down to Plymouth, it got a few bashes and bumps and for the last few days all I have got is the "Orange light of death" indicating a problem with the power source.

What I need to know is how to start it up. Please do not suggest I jump it. I'm not going to. The internet is clogged with suggestions I do that and what I would like is a more orthodox suggestion.

  • Will you be having a bet on the Grand National?

When I was younger, everybody would always place a bet on the Grand National. People would always have a punt and in school on Monday, we'd all talk about how we did.

I presumed it was something that everyone did but my girlfriend and her family don't. The same is true of a friend of mine, he does but his family doesn't.

Is this a tradition? I'm not talking about those who regularly bet, but instead those who have a bet on the national and the derby. Will you be having a bet?

I'm trying to explain to my protestant girlfriend why women can't be Catholic priests. I've said that she doesn't understand because she's not Catholic but what's the catechism rule about it?

  • How could the pressure be eased on Yellowstone Caldera?

I have this idea. Yellowstone Caldera is due for a superexplosion which will obviously have devastating effects on the United States as well as hugely negative, if not apocalyptic effects for the rest of mankind.

My idea is this. How about we drill one or more holes into the caldera allowing the magma to escape, thus easing the pressure on the caldera below, in much the same way as an oil well works.

My girlfriend though says that it is moronically dangerous and would cause exactly the sort of eruption/explosion/outcomes that I thought that drilling to alleviate the magma would avoid.

Is she right? Would drilling cause the caldera to blow? Or would drilling, either from the top or the sides, alleviate pressure enough to prevent an explosion?

I'm happy to receive any answers/thoughts but only those backed up by evidence will be considered for best answer.

  • Do Spirits ever go off?

So I was at a friends at the weekend and with the beer/wine gone, we decided to make a dent in the drinks at the back of the cabinet. One was Glayva, the other was Bacardi. They both tasted off so we gave them a wide berth, but do spirits ever go off?

  • Renting in Athens? Modern Prices?

I know this may sound a little silly but I am thinking of moving to Greece. What are rental prices roughly? I would be looking to live in Metaxourgio, Omonia, Exarchi, Syntagma, Mitropolis or Ermou areas. I realise that those areas are expensive, but I'm not too familiar with areas outside that. I saw one ad which said Kolonaki was €700 a month but a bigger flat in Exarchi was €300 which doesn't seem right.

As I gather Utilities are about €50/month and they'll ask me to sign a lease of two/three years. The only info I have to go on is from before the crash.

Also, would it be cheaper to live in somewhere in Peloponnisos or Lavideia? There were a lot of to let signs in Sparta (though I'd never live there) so I guess it would be. HELP PLEASE!

  • What sort of clothing may be considered offensive in Greece?

I am going to the Peloponnese in May but I won't be visiting tourist resorts. Because I am going to villages (and the suburbs of Athens and Corinth) I need to know what may be considered offensive or not.

My main casual clothes appropriate to the weather are generally ¾ length shorts (i.e. trousers cut off below the knee), football (soccer) shirts with England and Plymouth Argyle on, leather shoes, snow boots (sounds silly but I do plan to do a lot of walking) and worn in trainers/sandals.

I suppose my question is this, what are the yes's and no's of casual fashion in Greece, to stay on the right side of the populace, the police and the terrain?
