When rating religious answers, do you only need to read a small part of it to make your decision?
I find that if the first couple sentences make any sense at all, I can usually determine that they have provided a logical answer to the question and I'll give them a thumbs up.
I'll usually speed read the rest of it and look for key words and phrases such as: Biblical quotes, the repeated use of the word God, answers that are written in only caps. And they will get a thumbs down.
Of course if the answer is really good I will continue to read the entire response. Most of the time I like to quickly go through the twenty something answers that most religious questions get and rate them all accurately.
My point is that if the individual is a complete moron, they will (99.9% of the time,) have an answer that is opposed to my personal opinion and generally the logical way of thinking.
And this type of answer is extremely easy to identify without reading a lengthy post. (such as this one) sorry
Here's a potato...
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoHow would someone go about finding a good free campsite in Ontario?
I'm talking about crown land camping or something similar. Is there a site, or a book that has a listing of good spots?
1 AnswerOther - Outdoor Recreation7 years agoWhat are the easiest youtube videos to put together in order to start making money off them?
Even if it's just a little bit of money. What are the easiest, fastest videos to put make?
Note: I don't want to include myself, or any other person in the video.

Definitely my favorite moment!
2 AnswersMovies7 years agoAre you offended when someone uses the same words as you to answer a question?
Does it bother you when they mimic your ideas and even use some of the same words to answer a question. Or are you flattered that someone would like your answer enough to copy it?
2 AnswersYahoo Answers7 years agoWhen you come across a question that you can't answer, does that mean you have been blocked?
If you can read the question but the box doesn't come up to answer the question, does that mean that particular user has blocked me.
Or is this some kind of glitch on the site?
1 AnswerYahoo Answers7 years agoWhat causes an XBOX360 disc tray to stop working?
Once in a while the disc tray just won't open. You can hear the mechanism trying to do something but it just stays closed. The xbox powers up normally and everything else is working fine.
Is it moisture? Is it dust? Or could it be a combination of these things. Is this a sign that it will soon break and never open again? I'm guessing I should just sell this one to a repair shop and buy a brand new model.
Maybe there is an easy fix for this problem. Anyone else had this issue?

4 AnswersPolls & Surveys7 years agoCould someone explain to me why a particular individual feels the need to answer every question in caps lock?
NOT GOING TO THROW OUT ANY NAMES OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT... BUT I THINK MOST PEOPLE KNOW WHO I'M TALKING ABOUT... JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE KNOWS THE REASON FOR THIS BEHAVIOR.
It's not really a big deal, they can keep doing it for all I care. But it is making me rather curious as to what motivates them to answer in this fashion...

4 AnswersZoology7 years agoIf you had the ability to survive in space and travel faster than the speed of light where would you go?
I've already asked this question once, but I really liked reading some of the answers I got and I thought I would give more people the opportunity to answer it.
Here is the original question: https://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20...
Check it out and try to come up with a different answer.
Let's say you were a superhero that could survive through anything. You could pass right through the center of a star if you wanted to. What would you do? Where would you go? We're also assuming that you could travel at speeds that would get you anywhere you wanted to go in an instant.
Yes I know, none of this is, or ever will be possible. But just for a second let's imagine that you could. What would be your first thought, your first adventure into the unknown? Or would you simply use your abilities to make life here on earth better for you and others?
5 AnswersAstronomy & Space7 years agoDo people down vote an answer just to bump their own up on the page?
With the new system of sorting answers based on votes, do you now down vote an answer just to move your own up the page so it is more likely to be seen?
Or do you vote for an answer based solely on it's quality? What other factors do you consider?
Do you up vote everyone in hopes that they will see that and come back to the question to vote for your answer?

Helpful, intelligent, cruel, simple minded, etc... What would be the most accurate?

10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoLet's assume we have the technology to embark on a multi-generational space flight. What is our first target?
If we had the technology to send a self sufficient crew into space what would be the first order of business? Obviously the original crew would not be alive to see any destination. We're assuming the ship's technology could support life indefinitely so that future generations would carry on the journey.
Would we set out to explore? Would we head for the nearest earth like planet? Would we build multiple transports and gradually evacuate all inhabitants of earth?
What do you think would be the most rational course of action?
