Hi guys, so I need help with translating these two phrases in Arabic to English. I don't know what they mean, though I think the first one is a compliment; no clue about the second one though. A friend of mine texted them to me, but he won't tell me what they mean!

^ mashallah = if god has willed

inty = you are?

7elwa = beautiful (I think)

but I don't know what 'kteyr' means? idk am I right?

2) Allah ye7fazek w ye7meke men al 3aeen

^ no idea what that one means...

I've always admired the language, it's beautiful, and I'd love to be able to speak it fluently one day. I was wondering how hard it would be for me; I've always heard that different people take it in different ways, some easily grasp it and others don't. I lived in Dubai for a few years, and it was compulsory to be taught arabic in school, however I've lost all knowledge, as now i've moved back to london. I'm Muslim, so I can read quran -which is in arabic- but ofc I don't understand it. I can write arabic, because I used to do calligraphy (with arabic words) but again, I don't understand what I'm writing; I'd have to look up what a word means or something if I want to write it out. Now that you have this information, how hard do you think it'll be for me to learn the language? I've memorised the alphabet, I understand letter formations and the sounds they make, so my next step would be to start expanding my vocab. What do you guys think?

Any tips you can share? Your experiences?

I have a question about keeping your hair neat in hijab...

I don't actually wear hijab, i'm actually just a young teen, but i will when i'm older, but also when i go to mosque, i really care about how my hijab looks, and instead of using those 2 - piece sets like most girls do, i actually spend quite a bit of time doing my headscarf, but i want it to be neat and proper.. Anyway, my question is, that i have long hair, and normally i just put it in a ponytail and then clip it back, in a bun, but not too high, because i know it's haraam, because high buns are like a camel's humps... But anyway, how do you girls keep your hair neat.. i could just do a ponytail, i guess, but i don't like the idea of having the "tail" left there, which will probably end up just getting tangled in my scarf..

So I wanted to know, how you keep your hair neat under your scarves? And also, I know some people get those hair flower clips, the big ones, which make it look like their hair's in a high bun, but isn't it really the same thing, or is it different because it's a clip.....?

I'm puzzled now, but please, I'd be very grateful if you could answer my question..well, questionS, but nonetheless, thank you very much..

I know this question has been asked like a million times, but I really want to know...

Do you think they'll make Breaking Dawn into a movie?

Here is my opinion:

They might, because Twilight and New Moon was a huge success and Eclipse is coming out June 30th 2010 (i can't wait!!!) and so they'll probably make Breaking Dawn too, a whole series...

But then again, they might not, because:

There's a talking baby, and that'd be kinda difficult to do....

There's "older" scenes, nd so it won't be rated PG13 like New Moon and Twilight....

(Although, i'm 11 and i saw twilight when i was 10 (for my b-day) and when i was 10 i also saw new moon..but i saw twilight with my mum and new moon with my uncle and brother...) and eclipse, i'm MIGHT see it with my cousin, who's 15, but i dunno if i'm gonna be allowed or not.... but cuz i'm with her, i might be.....)

Anyway, what are your thoughts and comments......

I also heard they might make it into 2 movies, which just makes it more interesting...Kinda like how they're gonna make Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows into 2 movies too..........

I'm teaching English to my aunt (who speaks Urdu)

and I want to know some sites online, for free, where she can do exercises and stuff....she has this CD that has exercises and stuff and she also goes on BBC skillwise and we were thinking of getting ome exercise books and stuff....We saw this book on whsmith.co.uk .. it's called Rapidex English for Urdu Speakers by R P Gupta and we're thinking of getting it, but i think £8 is a little high to pay for a workbook...... but that's in WHSmith...anyone know where i can get it at any old bookshop ar anywhere really, that doesn't really matter.......

I am a Muslim girl in my young teens living in London and I would like you to recommend some books about Islam and I don't even mind a books about Hadith or our prophets or even a book about Prophet Muhammad (SAW) I live in London aswell, so I also want to ask, (if there are any Muslims who live in London) where I could buy it from too.... I know Islamic stores and stuff will be my best option cuz i probably won't get books about Islam from WHSmith or wherever..or maybe it might in the Religious Section or whatever...~i'd better check that out on their site....~ I live in Ilford and if you could suggest any places near there that'd be great...I don't even mind somewhere like Barking cuz it's close.... I think on Ilford Lane (or somewhere around there) there's a huge Islamic store..I'll have a look there once I get a bearing on it's location.....

Hi everyone, I'm 11 years old and I'm learning how to cook.

In my house, we also need to eat a LOT healthier and for dinner we'll just have our traditional food (I'm from Pakistan but I was born and raised in London so we eat Pakistani food so...) anyway, the food we eat, is well, different every day, but we have like Pitta Bread to go with it, and bread is fattening, especially when you have it every night...But my dad likes it, so I can't stop him from eating now, can I? i want to learn Dua Namaz Janaza (well actually i HAVE to learn it in mosque) but i don't know where to look on the internet...i don't mind on youtube, you know, listening to it and then trying to repeat it and memorize it but i'd much rather not...so plz if u know anywhere where i can learn it online for free i'd be SO grateful...thnx thnx thnx so much....=-]
