  • Android 4.1.1 Call and Alarm Issues?

    Hi.

Anyone can assist to help me fix this issue.

I had a new phone. Modelled Feiteng I9300.

Its preloaded with Android 4.1.1. Issue with this phone is that:

    1. When trying to make a call or receive incoming calls, whether its using SIM or Viber, the screen goes off and won't come back on. I pressed the power button, home button, since the back and menu buttons are virtual as well, I'm completely left with nothing else to revive the screen and its functionalities.

The phone wont respond to me. It just continue ringing and ringing for outgoing call till the other party picks up, drops or voice mail interference.

    2. I cannot utilize the alarm function. Enter 'Alarms' and phone blacks out, hangs.

I have been pulling the battery out once the phone freezes to that extend.

    Any solution? Any work about?

    Pls share. Thank you.

  • Install Ceiling Fan without Regulator?

    Hi.

I would like to install a new ceiling fan.

However, I do know ceiling fans do have speed controllers. Some fans uses remote controller, some used chain method, others are with regulators.

I planned to install my new ceiling fan without any of those controllers. I do read somewhere a regulator helps to adjust the speed, but this fan is there solely to be switched on and off, where once on it will go on the fullest speed as from prior experience, I hardly switched any of the ceiling fans below its maximum speed due to the heat here in my country.

I would like to know, is it safe to install a ceiling fan directly to a powerline without using any form of regulators?

    Thank you.

  • XPERIA Play camera, WiFi, mobile network issue..?

I guess Sony Ericsson is very buggy.

When I first got the XPERIA Play, it was on the first gen of Android OS version.

First update went smoothly, then second update, unable to install properly.

Had to install via alternate SE way. (Link for download for all Sony Ericsson users who had never-ending problem with updating your SE: http://dl-www.sonyericsson.com/cws/download/1/110/... )

    That works! I am happy.

Worked fine with no issues, ultra fast startup and shutdown.

After a week or so, then problems resurface.

    Phone hangs non stop.

Application list takes moments to appear, something never happened before.

Installed Avast Mobile to scan apps for malicious, no malware result.

Now starting up is fast, but freezes on startup screen due to 'slow or inaccurate SD card reading'.

And now bloody hell, my phone camera has its mode. Only a few times it work seamlessly, other then that press on camera mode, freezes, pop up Android task not responding message to force close or wait.

And quite reasonly too, had problems with WiFi and my mobile network connections as well.

Anyone else had the same issue? Hope you can share suggestions.

  • Do electricity-saving box works?

I bought a few sets of this. Have plugged them in for a month, couldn't really see the result since my bill for the two months were estimated figures, not the actual recorded.

Wondering if it works. Have plugged two of it, though some sites say one is enough but when I read the manual, they say you have to work out the maths to see whether one unit it enough. One unit supports up to 18000kW, which confuses me since another product given rating in kWh instead.

To whether they work or not, try looking at this site/auction with their photo-taken results: http://www.lelong.com.my/100-legal-electricity-sav... . Hope someone out there who know the theories better can help explain to me. Thanks.

  • Why am I still perspiring heavily even when I used anti-perspiring deodorant?

I seem to have a problem recently.

For the past years, I am glad that after using anti-perspiring deodorant under my armpits, I am able to keep it as dry as it could even when I am sweating in my other parts of my body.

It was only recently I realized that no longer happens to be the case. Why is that so? Does anyone else face the same problem as me?

To partially solve this problem though my shirt under my armpits still do get wet, I either wore double layer or just simply try to make 'air space' whenever possible. I still sweat and realize my shirt area under the armpits will get wet even in cool environment.

Been using Nivea for men for years, though I changed from the the ranges it has.

  • WIndows Update won't run anymore after IE8 + MS .Net 3.5 installed?

Anyone else got this same problem?

After I installed IE8 and MS .Net 3.5 SP1, now Windows Update won't even run when I manually run Windows Update.

Automatic Update has drove me crazy as it keeps running at irregular timing, causing my CPU to clock to 100% halting all other processes, then state downloading updates but cleared few seconds later.

What's the problem? I have scanned with Ad-aware, ThreatFire and Advanced SystemCare, but no malware was detected.

Made matter worst, same thing happened when I did install the same updates on my laptop.

  • Windows Update, SMTP and several other services failed to run?

I am not sure now but I am facing some serious computing problems.

First, SMTP (simple mail transfer protocol) failed to run after popping up with an error when I attempt to start the service.

Error 3: The system cannot find the path specified.

Then, now Windows Firewall is facing some errors as well, but I am not really worried as I have always been using ZoneAlarm and has disabled this service.

It was only recently I realized that Windows Update can no longer resume the process of update. Tried all the proposed suggestions/solutions, but to no avail.

Anyone out there have any suggestions on how to fix these problems?

Do note all temp cache files/cookies are always removed daily. Apart from that, I am very concerned about security as such I do almost daily malware scan. To further repair other errors, I am using Advanced WindowsCare Personal to fix registry and privacy problems.

Your help would be of great appreciation.

  • How to 'unlock' LG KP110?

I have this LG KP110. It still works fine, but I want to do some fine cracking of it.

You see, I am annoyed when it does not perform like its bigger brother, the KG195, which I used to own. Now, without a SIM, the phone is completely useless and I can't use its multimedia functions.

Any idea on how to 'crack' this issue?

    Thanks.

  • Off The Advertisement In Live Messenger?

You know, Live Messenger is supported by ads and its the only way for them to make it free for use for everyone.

Simply do the following, MANUALLY, no patch what-so-ever:

    (1) Go to Control Panels

    (2) Under 'Internet Options', select the area 'Security'

    (3) Select 'Restricted Sites', making sure its at default setting 'High'

    (4) Add the following site to its current available list of sites: rad.msn.com

Restart messenger, as in close the window, and reopen again. In the ads space, you should see Live Messenger ad for a while, then it should turn blank.

BTW any tips on how to solve the problems with signing in to messenger in poor connected areas? At the moment I either switched to Skype, but unfortunately, not everyone I know uses Skype.

  • How Long Can I Used Ear Plugs?

    OK.

Seriously, I am suffering from hearing loss and just recently I have purchased ear plugs. I have been suffering from tinnitus effects since the past 3 years, and I guess now it is time for me to really protect my ears.

Till now, I randomly suffers from ear pressure problems; ears tend to ache and feel pressurized for extended periods despite massaging it frequently. To ease the pain, I tend to put on my earphones (those with inner buds), but of course either with music playing at low volume or music-less. Then now, since I have had ear plugs, I wondered since ear plugs blocked nearly all opening spaces of the canal, there would be 'worser' ventilation for the canal.

So how long is it safe to put on ear plugs? The only thing I am afraid is if putting on ear plugs for long hours can cause poor ventilation to the ear canal. I planned to use during my sleep time (about 7hrs) and also when I am on the move in noisy places and vehicles.

    Thanks.

  • Is Mozilla's FireFox becoming corrupted?

You see... I used to loved Mozilla's FireFox. Why? It has always perform much better than Internet Explorer. Also you can easily add add-on to further add more functionality to FireFox's interface and usability. And that has been for those version before 2.0.

Just recently, and along with previous updates since the 2.0 version, I realized I have been getting plenty of annoying errors. What are they? Simple... Frequent time out errors when I go to Friendster [now after latest update, photo won't upload due to read/write errors], Hotmail [now fonts goes wonka, page time out a hell lot of times], Multiply, even those sites I used to enter before a lot of times without problem.

Security has been an issue to me so I ensure that I have basic software; like AVG Free, Ad-aware, SpyBot and Threat Fire. I think I am stressing the hard disk with frequent updates and scans on each software, yet now, anyone else faces difficulties using FireFox 2.0.0.9? I AM THOUGH...

  • MSN Trick?

You know, maybe should have known ages back when Live Messenger was introduced, how can I know if a person is really connected to his/her MSN account despite putting her status as 'Appear Offline'? I am sure there is a possibility to trick the system so that whenever someone connects to the messenger and is within your contact, even at 'Appear Offline', you will know he/she is online. Any ideas?

  • User Profile file too big...?

May I know is there any way to decrease the space used by user profiles in Windows XP? I had two accounts in my system, basically mine and an administrator's. While the administrator uses only 8MB, mine has climbed to 1.26GB. That's really wasting a lot of space, and yeah, I am somehow not really happy with that information.

Any ways to help decrease the size or at least get back some of the GB this thing has used up?

Its over at My Computer [right click] >> System Properties >> User Profiles Settings ....
