I purchased quite large pieces of finger for my aquarium from my local fish store, I was advised that I should let it float and soak in my tank for up 3 weeks, it s been one week and still no difference. Some have recommended to boil the wood but I was advised by the fish store not to. Does anyone have any ideas to speed up the process? And will it eventually sink?

Not about me, I know this person who cuts, this person says that they use a shaprpener blade, but I'm worried that this person might get infected or something so whats the best and cleanest way to cut what can this person use? Where can I get this blade from?

I cant stop this person best I can do is just help and offer comfort

Hi, I need help on a project which I'm going to try out, the circuitry is the problem for me. My idea was to have a car speaker connected to a couple of LEDs, the power source will be from the mains, but the output is 9volts, 300miliamps. The speakers I wanted we're 2x200watt 4ohms. And I found a 500watt amplifier which I think is 12v power.

Does this work out?

Can anybody help me with the circuitry and power?

My tank was really dirty when i got it, there was a really REALLY BAD CASE OF ALGAE, and i had to use a razor and scourer, So ive gave my tank a good scrub, took as much dirt as I could out of it, but there's just a few spots which theres speckles of algae left, is this okay?, I was planing on getting my salt and live sand later on. And how long should I let my tank cycle?  I'm using tap water, and doing a FOWLR tank. (fish only with live rock tank (saltwater))

Nearby there was recently an estate of buildings demolished, and there are quite a few prices of large rock, I was wondering would it be alright to take a few price... Would they harm my freshwater fishes ?

So I've kept freshwater fishes for long time now, and now I just want to start up a small saltwater fish only tank.

I'm willing to spend money, but with the recession in uk, I want to spend less if possible

I wanted to have a 35-50 litre tank, I know that I need refractometer, heating, lighting, sand, love rock, but what type and how much of it?

One of the fishes I really wanted was a common clownfish, what else could I have? (something lively and colourful)

What else would I need?

Also does anyone know how much wattage of energy would a set up use daily ?

Just got a 100gal tank, and was wondering what colour gravel/sand I should put in the tank, it's 5ft long and dark wood effect colour. The fishes which might go in there are either mollies, guppies, tetras, angels, etc. or. Oscars, arowana, angels, etc. ?

Was planning to upgrade from a 3ft to 5ft tank (tropical). I need help on figuring out how to run it.

Firstly 'Filtering' the tank I was after is 450 litres., and was planning to get an eheim professional 3 (pumps 1250L/h) for it.,, will that be enough?

Heating- will I need 2 heaters ?! Won't one do (300watt) becaused trieing to save as much energy as possible

Also cleaning, any tips for cleaning such a big tank?

So I am severely short sighted, soon as something goes beyond 1ft of distance it becomes blurry (without glasses). With glasses I am not able to see 20meteres away, so I guess I would fail the visual test in my driving test..

What could I do? Could I get contacts? I heard they make you see further.. Someone please help..

So problem is we got only one router in the house which is downstairs in the main living room. The signal from the router is not strong enough to reach certain rooms upstairs, I.e the bedroom where I would like to you a laptop etc. but I do not want to move the position of the rotour. Is there some type of second scripture I could get to put in the bedroom?

We only have one line for the Internet in our home. And I would like the second source to have a Ethernet connection.

Hi, was going to get a moped for faster commuting, I can ride a bicycle but i can't stand up and ride... (yes it sounds silly)

But as I said I want a moped (50cc) for commuting, are they easy to ride ? Are you more able to hav accidents with a moped than you are with a bicycle ?

I was thinking of getting contact lenses because I'm extremely short-sighted (I can't even see 15meters away). Anyway, when wearing the lenses would I be able to see further away ? And any other pros ?

Okay, so I think we all kno diesel engines are loud but the older the car the louder the sound, so for 2ltr diesel car, what suggestions do u have to get rid or reduce the sound?

Do u recon a diffreny or performance exhaust would reduce the horrible sound ?

So Ive seen a couple of pics and vids of people who have an e46 coupe (3series 1999-2006) with lambo doors, my first opinion was "damn that's pretty cool" then I went through some forums and majority of people said "it's g@¥".

Are they stable?

Are they nice?

Do they add value?

What do u guys think about lambo doors on e46? Because was thinking to put it on a 2004 E46 M-Sport 318ci (facelift version).

So I really want a coupe, because of their shape, structure etc.

One coupe which I had in mind was a BMW 318 E46. But they drink quite a bit. So is there any coupes similar or nice as the BMW 318s?

Really want a car which does good mpg and small engine. And what I really like about the 318 is the doors/windows, if you've seen one, you'll know why.
