People I know always call anything with growling/screaming screamo and it pisses me off since I listen to death metal and I don't want to seem like one of those trendy looking emo kids.

I'm looking on starting a death metal band, but it's hard to have a death metal band and not be able to do the vocal techniques. I'm looking for something genuine, something that has actually worked for you or someone you know. It can be a forum, a video, just something that works.

Natural Selection was one I thought of, but it's probably already taken. Me and a friend of mine are looking to start a extreme metal band, but I can't think of any good names.

I do, I'm really into metal right now and want to learn about new bands, awesome songs, stuff like that. But I don't want to spend an hour looking for good metal questions!
