I am a 24 year old American Citizen female non-smoking Christian, wife of only one man, mother of only one boy. I have 4 siblings with myself in the middle. I get along with my in-laws. I'm politically dis-inclined and tend to be a diplomat, but still have my own opinions. I answer the questions on YA as if I were answering my best friend.

  • what's the most encouraging thing you've ever been told?

If you have a phrase of the most encouraging thing you heard at a time when you were down that would be awesome.

One day while running I had a woman in her 50's run with me for a while before passing me. She told me she had just had knee surgery a couple weeks back and was glad to be running again. Before she went on to pass me she said her motto was, "just don't quit" How about you?

  • if you had the chance to move to NY...?

I have a job lined up but it's a matter of

    1) getting my husband a job

    2) finding affordable housing to fit the 3 of us (our 3 yr old son)

    3) the cost of moving

with that being said it's a wonderful opportunity. I think we'll be okay, though my husband isn't sure.

So, from an outsider's point of view what do you think? By the way, we live in OH now (we would be moving about 7 hours away from where we live - close to the NYC)

  • is there a website for this?

Is there a website where I could put in what I have in my cupboard and it would tell me what recipes to cook? That would be a dream come true!

  • if non-messianic jews don't believe Jesus was the messiah...?

then they are under the old order of things still so why don't they sacrifice animals for their sins?

This is an earnest question. Is there some other law that I don't know about that exempts them from clearing their sins by the blood of a perfect sacrifice???

Is this time of year good for you or does it exemplify your sadness?

  • read it and weep. What do you think?

    When I’m gone

    (I will not be here)

And you stand over me with a prayer

    (You will be right there)

    Say one for yourself

(Because you’ll need it more than me).

    When it’s done

    (and it’s never truly done)

And the last word is spoken

    (never regret it)

And the last word I hear

    (whatever it is)

    I cherished life.

    My last favor

    (asking in good faith)

    Is for you

(seek the deepest depths of yourself)

To live as hard as is possible

(and remember to not be brave)

    Cause I’ll see the fear

    (and send you an angel)

To walk down that difficult path

    (but don’t pray for me)

    When I’m gone.

  • Does this seem like the kind of church that has got things wrong?

Too much skepticism to the church as it's portrayed in this day and age. There is a revolution on what exactly "church" should and shouldn't be. I'd have to say hands down this one is on the wagon. What do you think?

  • Let's move on from the last annoying question: This is a serious one?

If you are a Christian and someone - say a Jehovah's Witness - tries to witness to you, do you wonder why they are trying to witness to you?? I mean, do Jehovah's witnesses think they have something that you may be missing in terms of salvation or are they just trying to make sure no one slips under the radar?

  • it's a bet let's see who wins!?

both my husband and I want to lose 30 lbs. by Christmas the deal is - whoever loses the most wins the prize. If he wins he gets and x-box 360 and if I win he has to volunteer 1 day per week every week for the next year. I think I have the greater incentive to win, but going on your judgement- who do YOU think will win and why?

  • what are your thoughts on holistic or natural medicine?

I've been reading a few things here and there saying some pretty crazy stuff about the medications approved by the FDA. For example, did you know Coumadin contains arsenic?? Why aren't people who are sick or who want to avoid sickness seeking out better healing measures??

  • Meant to be a fun question and hoping you will play along:?

12 days till my husband's birthday and I really want to do something both meaningful and that he would like since he's a guy. It can't be expensive. So...give me your best creative gift for a mid-20's guy who's laid back and plays video games to unwind.

  • what's the quickest way to strip paint off a chair?

I'm trying to re-finish 5 chairs that have green paint on them. I really don't want it to take forever and it seems like the way it's going that it might. I got scrapers, but they're plastic and didn't take long to wear away. I've already had the stripping gel on for about 16 hours...help???

My high school friend is there and I wanted to write a letter. Where might I find the address?? If I can't find it online, I can ask the family, but they live out of state and I haven't spoken to them in a couple of years.

  • What do you think?

My husband deleted our internet history one night ( I work nights) and the next day I wondered why he did. I asked him if he was looking at porn bc/ my step-dad used to delete his history d/t his porn addiction. So, he said he didn't delete it and that he wasn't looking at porn. Well, that was over a year ago. A couple of weeks ago I asked him if he ever looks at porn and he said yes. So then, I was intrigued bc/ to be honest with you, I thought that he didn't. So I further asked him when the last time he looked at porn was to which he replied (after thinking about it a while) a week and a half ago...I was like, """waaahhh??""" Am I naive or something to think that if he did ever look at porn it would be like once or twice a year. So then I asked him how often he looks at it and he said a couple times a month...oh geez...how have I been with him over 3 years and not even suspected an ounce of that??? Anyways, I'm not even mad. I asked him if he lied about deleting the history
