  • Why hasn't my USPS tracking updated in days?

    I bought something on Thursday 7/23, and it shipped Friday 7/24 with USPS first class mail. It is coming from Washington to Pennsylvania so I figured it would take 3 days (it's 1-3 day shipping). Friday, Saturday and Monday would be 3 days and it should've came today, but the tracking hasn't updated since Friday (the first day) when it says the shipment was accepted/picked up.

    When will it come?? Why isn't it updating?

  • Why doesn't my piano sound like it should? (please watch video)?

    I don't know how to play piano or anything about it really, but I have a piano in my basement. It is nearly 100 years old and nobody has played it in like 20 years. I wiped all the dust off it and I want to learn to play it. I looked up a tutorial for Someone Like You by Adele. I can play the notes properly, but it does not sound anything like it does in the actual song. Do pianos need to be tuned or something? They are the correct notes to play, I watched a Youtube video on playing it and it sounded right.

  • How long to get decent at guitar to where you can actually play stuff?

    I am a 16 year old male. My dad has been playing guitar for about 30 years. He is very good and plays a lot of difficult, fast paced metal like Metallica, Iron Maiden and Ozzy Osbourne. My brother is 28 and has been playing guitar for a little over 10 years, he is in a band and is good too. I can go to them for help.

    I bought an Epiphone DR-100 acoustic from Guitar Center and it's coming in the mail in a couple days. Say I played two hours a day, how long does it take to actually get decent? I just want to play some music I like. How to Save a Life, Thinking Out Loud, Someone Like You, Riptide, Pompeii. Hey Soul Sister.

  • Can I wear a wedding band if I'm not married?

    I am a 16 year old boy, and I bought a sterling silver ring just because I like how it looks. Apparently it is a wedding band, but I just like it for how it looks. It's shiny and I like the diagonal cuts in it. I want to wear it on my pointer finger. Is that okay?

  • How do I calculate my ring size?

    I am a 16 year old male and I want to buy a simple sterling silver band just for style and fashion. I placed a string around my pointer finger, the one I want to wear the ring on, and it is 2 5/8" or 2.625". What size ring is this? Should I order a size larger for a better fit?

  • High School Credit Question..?

    I failed a history class and I am in 10th grade so I did not earn the credit for it. However, you are only required to complete 3 years of history in Pennsylvania to graduate. Will I be short a credit at graduation if I do not make it up in winter school, or can I not worry about it since you only need 3 years?

  • How is my theme of Julius Caesar?

    Well, first to understand and to be able to properly comprehend the

    theme of the play Julius Caesar by the famous playwright and poet

    William Shakspeare, you have to have the same mindset as a person

    engaged in the study of philosophy. One does not simply determine

    the theme of a play this epic and a monumentally historic piece of

    writing. It would be an insult to Mr. Shakespeare to even attempt

    to do so. However, after years of studying the writing with an

    elevated mind, I believe I have found the answer. Due to a few

    cold, tarnished, wicked and dishonorable hearts, the life of a

    great, passionate, dedicated, commited, and most importantly,

    honorable leader was unfairly taken from the loving, fond citizens

    of Rome- a most noble and respected culture of people. The

    conspirators acted spitefully, mocking the friends and countrymen,

    using them as puppets, corrupting the minds of the general

    population with their narcisitically inspired lies. But Brutus

    was the most honorable, and able to see through their deception

    and fabrication of reality. In the end, the evil actions that

    took place led to disaster. Men murdered each other for no reason,

    only to find that they bleed the same shade when their time had

    come. Humans are generally bad and tainted, and mankind is

    inherently evil.

  • How do I hit the ball in tennis? I keep missing it..?

    I'm playing boys' varsity tennis and I'm a sophomore in high school. Our team is bad overall, mainly just because our coach is the school nurse and she herself barely knows how to play. She doesn't teach us how to play at all, the only thing we really learned was how to grip the racket and how to hit a forehand, which 9/10 of us still can't do half decent. We try to play games but don't really know what we're doing, so we usually just end up hitting the ball off the wall for an hour.

    Whenever we play practice matches, the ball always gets hit to me, I swing for it and miss it literally like 8/10 times. Then sometimes when I do hit it, it goes out of the court or hits the net. How do I get better at this? It seems everyone on the team can keep a game going for at least a couple hits, but I ALWAYS miss.

  • What do you need to go skiing?

    I want to join my school's skiing club but I never went before. A ticket for the lift is $25, and a rental for skiis, boots and poles is $15, and $10 for food. So I would need to bring $50. And wear a hat, goggles, a sweater, my NorthFace (it has a fleece base layer and a waterproof polyester outerlayer that zips over it), sweat pants, waterproof ski pants, and ski socks. With the boots included in the rental, do they mean boots that you wear like shoes and step into the skis with? Is that everything I need?

  • How much fluid does a transmission need to flush it completely?

    I'm buying a 2003 Hyundai Elantra,assuming the transmission fluid has never been changed in it's 120,000 miles. • How Can I Learn the Basics of Cars?

    I'm 16 and my mom is helping me get my first car. I know nothing about cars, and I want to learn the basics on maintenance and improving performance. What I'm looking at is a 2003 Hyundai Elantra with 120,000 miles for $3,500. My step dad has been working as a mechanic for 25+ years and says it looks good to him after a test drive so we're going to get it.

    I don't want to bother my step dad about everything, so how can I learn the basics myself? I'm getting a couple things from Amazon like a microfiber towel, ArmorAll soap and wax, RainX and ArmorAll interior wipes. Is there anything else I should get?

    I know absolutely nothing about cars.. so what should I learn how to do? I'm assuming how to do an oil change, change a tire, etc.. what are some cheap upgrades I could do to increase performance?

  • How can I limit the a number to only display to the hundreths place in Python?

    I made a program that calculates your bill when you go out to eat. It was very basic at first, but with some help from others I got a working clock implemented and a more accurate formula. For the final build of this program I've worked so hard on, I want it only to display to the hundreths place, not keep going on forever and ever..

    For example, it says a $25.69 bill * (0.06 tax + 0.10 tip) = 29.800400000000003. I would like it just to display 29.80, how do I do this? Also, could I make it display a dollar sign somehow, like $29.80?

    CODE:

    from datetime import datetime

    now = datetime.now()

    print ('%s:%s' % (now.hour, now.minute))

    meal = float (input ("How much did dinner cost?: "))

    tax = float (input ("How much is your state's tax in decimal form?: "))

    tip = 0.10

    meal += meal * (tax + tip)

    print ("Your total cost of dinner is", meal, "after tax and an 10% tip!")

    input('Press enter to exit.')

    print("Closing...")

  • Why does codeacademy say the code is correct, but Python says it's a syntax error?..?

    I started making my own program to calculate the cost of food when you are out to eat a restaurant. You plug in your food cost, and it automatically adds tax and a tip..

    codeacademy.com says the following code is correct:

    from datetime import datetime

    now = datetime.now()

    print '%s/%s' % (now.hour, now.minute)

    If I try to add the same code to my program show it shows the time, it gets a syntax error.. I thought it's because the apostrophes are ending the line. I tried using / and \ before the apostrophes but I still get the syntax error.. what is wrong with my code?

    from datetime import datetime

    now = datetime.now()

    print '%s:%s' % (now.hour, now.minute)

    meal = float (input ("How much did dinner cost?: "))

    tax = float (input ("How much is your state's tax in decimal form?: "))

    tip = 0.10

    meal = meal + meal * tax

    meal = meal + meal * tip

    print("Your total cost of dinner is")

    print(meal)

    print("after tax and an 10% tip!")

    input('Press enter to exit.')

    print("Closing...")
