Muslim girls who don't wear a headscarf: what kinds of outfits do you wear during the summer?
Peace.
Summer is approaching..beautiful warm weather here...and well..I don't really care for a headscarf because I don't believe that it is mandated by the Quran. I like wearing capris..short sleeve tees..long flowy shirts or dresses..etc. Do you find it generally difficult to find clothing that is comfortable and stylish for the summer or do you find ways to make it work?
6 AnswersRamadan9 years agoAre you ever afraid of being labeled anti-semetic or an islamo-phobe?
I don't support my country's allegiance to Israel. However, the government continues to use my tax dollars to sustain Israel's warped policies and blatant injustices. I'm really not surprised with those terrorists being hell bent on destroying us. They've just sought out the main source of their problems.
Ah..yes..and then there are the Saudis. While Israel is busy doing their own damage, we've got Saudi Arabia single-handedly spreading their Wahabi school of thought to the weak minded and dirt poor. So, the Saudis pretty much pick up where Israel leaves off. They've got a good thing going..those two.
For those of you who "think", do you ever catch yourself when expressing your opinions? Being labeled "anti-semitic" outwardly is pretty damaging. Being labeled as an islamo-phobe is pretty damaging as well.. I mean, especially when neither labels are conceptually true to your character.
By the way, you can waste your time throwing whatever vulgarities you want. I don't give a damn..so knock yourself out.
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoAre we afraid to leave the Hadith behind?
Peace.
This is a repeat question since it was deleted by my "Muslim" brothers and sisters on the forum. I am posting it again as promised. This is for people who think.
Peace.
Since legislation (fiqh) has been formed on the basis of Hadith, we as Muslims have stagnated with all forms progress (natural sciences, social sciences, medicine, economics, social welfare, governance, etc). On a more serious note, we have also been forced to read lies which slander Muhammed (The seal of the prophets of the revelations).
I've read stories in regard to Muhammed's sex life, his military strategies, and his other whims and fancies. Unlike the majority of you, I refuse to believe in any of it, due to the fact that these narrations are either bold faced lies or snapshots of more complicated events beyond my understanding (due to the fact that I didn't exist in his life).
Of course, there are some Hadith that paint the Prophet in a very positive light and this of course gladdens my heart (I'm only human). However, we have a price to pay if we are to accept even these Hadith. Hadith is more a package deal. If you accept the good then you have to accept the bad. This is due to a "science" or "methodology" that advertises itself as very scholarly and concrete. We, like fools, then accept what we don't understand merely on the basis of ignorance. I advise all Muslims to learn this "science" and be the judge for themselves.
Do you ever come across people who tell you to learn Classical Arabic in order to better understand the Quran? They are correct in giving this advice though I don't think they realizing they are giving up their status by doing so. One should learn it in order to better understand the Quran for themselves.
45:6 These are the verses of God We convey to you with truth. Then, in what HADITH, if not in God and His verses, will they believe?
Yes, in the above verse, God specifically uses the word "Hadith"? Why doesn't He use the word Qawl?
Are we afraid of what we will find in the Quran (The truth)? Are we afraid that we won't find what we're looking for (our hidden agendas)?
Sorry for the delay in posting is again. I got some great perspectives the last time around.
3 AnswersRamadan9 years agoWhat can I do for this pain?
I'm 34 weeks pregnant. I have pain in my left leg to the point of where I can't walk. I have pain from my calf to the soles of my feet. I went to the ER and got a doppler scan done, and they ruled out a blood clot. What can I do to make it easier? Some one advised me to eat more bananas for potassium.
1 AnswerPregnancy9 years agoIs it true that the ambulance never shows up in London?
I've heard from some people that when one has an emergency, for some reason the EMT services rarely show up in time or they just never appear. Here in the US, we have a very crooked medical system, but usually the ambulance will show up within 3 minutes or so. Just wondering. Thanks.
4 AnswersLondon9 years agoWhy do "peace loving" Christians and "rational minded" Atheists always hijack other people's threads?
I love how I'm asking a question that has nothing to do with them, and they just appear out of nowhere and either start posting irrelevant information "Jesus Saves" or "that's because God doesn't exist" mumbo jumbo. Really, I swear they are one in the same.
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoMuslims, what makes you think that your particular sect will be accepted by God?
The Sunnis sing praises to their hadith. The Shias sing praises to their hadith. One worships the ways of Muhammed and his companions. The other worships the ways of Muhammed, Ali, Fatima, Hussain, etc. One claims that they follow the Quran and Sunnah (Hadith do not equal Sunnah), while the other follows the way of the Prophet's family (though who knows if they really do). What a confusing mess. On top of everything, both groups have stagnated to the point of where they virtually accomplish nothing at all! There is zero self-reflection in their practices and no room for critical thinkers. Those who think of question get silenced through bullying tactics and violence.
Truly, the Prophet will say on the day of judgement, that his people have abandoned the Quran. Truly, Jesus and his mother will appear astonished when God questions them in regard to what they told their followers.
We are doomed. Make no mistake of it. Don't let your ego and false hopes make you think anything different.
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoHow many sectarian (Sunnis, Shias, etc) Muslims would be tolerant of a nonsectarian mosque?
In a past question, I had elaborated on my plans to build a nonsectarian mosque. I got some very positive replies as well as a few "standard" "Quran bashing" "Hadith obsessed" comments as well. So, do you think such a mosque would be able to survive without being violently torn apart by sectarians? Some the replies appeared to indicate that I should watch my back. Just wondering.
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoHow many muslims would be interested in joining a nonsectarian mosque?
I'm a Quran only Muslim planning to open up a nonsectarian mosque complete with prayer services (whether you pay 0, 3, 5- you can pray a traditional salat, read, meditate, something quiet), conferences, children's classes, outreach programs (community service to homeless, hungry, disabled, etc), interfaith activities, etc. I would also like to offer space for congregational meetings and gatherings. Basically, I am trying to unify with common values and beliefs and encourage critical thinking. It would be a non profit organization with the mosque's upkeep through tax deductible donations etc. The mosque would have to have some kind of central charter or constitution so the whole thing doesn't go haywire, but it would have to be in line with the Quran and void of any sectarian drama. What do you think?

5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoDo all members of the Arya Samaj practice vegetarianism?
My husband eats meat because this is how he was raised.
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAre Arya Samajis taught to hate people of Christian, Muslim, and Sikh faiths?
Is this what the youth are taught? I'd like some clarification on this.
