The Failsafe

As we all know the Pats need some Offensive help, i was sitting around and running some ideas through my head and came up with two very possible scenarios that will help every team involved. I would like to see if the Pats can make a move for two players in particular. I am not saying this is a perfect trade scenario just kid of a jump off point what do you guys think?

Trade #1 : ATL trades Tony Gonzalez for a 3rd or 4th round pick. Tony has a lot left in the tank and came back for a Superbowl run. He is not getting that this year with the Falcons and this could be his last year. The Falcons are a mess Julio is out for the year White in injured Jackson is below Average at best and that D is also poor. The early round pick would help the Falcons add depth for next year and give Tony a shot at a superbowl with Gronk as the other TE and the Pats can run their 2 TE sets again with two of the top 5 TEs in the game.

Trade #2: NYG trade Hakeem Nicks for Lagarret Blount and a 2nd ( pending he signs a new contract with Pats upon trade). Nicks is all but out of NY and Ruben randle is going to be the #2 WR in NY with Cruz. NYG need a run game and Blount is just eating carries from Ridley and Vareen will be back soon. So trade the young good runner to NYG and a 2nd ( Nicks is young and a big target for Brady) as extra compensation and with Wilson out Blount can easily take over the Running game in NY and split with Hillis.

After returning from the KHL Radulov made his first NHL appearance in almost 4 years. Honestly this Nashville team is stacked and the addition of Radulov only makes them better. Do you see Radulov sticking with this team long term now that he has returned? This could be a ploy from Nash to sign Sutter and Weber long term, what do you see Radulov doing next year?

Discuss yes, no and reasons why. I doubt it will happen but if Hoyer goes i could see Tebow as #3 QB but used as a FB/TE/HB player with Brady on the field at the same time kinda a whats he gonna do catch a pass,run or throw. Opinions i am not saying he is going to NE and im not saying he isn't just wanted to know what ppl think

A recent trade between the Blues and Sens saw a 2nd rd pick go to the Blues for Bishop. Bishop is or at least was considered a very good goalie prospect for the blues but i guess with Elliot and Halak playing the way they are and Allen in the minors he became expendable.

So my question is what effect do you see this trade having on the Sens Goalie prospect Robin lehner, who was considered the Goalie of the future for this young team. Do you think this trade is just to give Lehner a little boost in his play sense he has been struggling lately in the AHL and a little competition will hopefully bring out his MVP type play or do you see this as something more?

Would you consider him a HOF player? Keep in mind he has only played 6 season and is almost averaging 100pts a year. I am only asking myself this because a few of my friends and i got into an argument over this, based on his quality of work i would say yes but quantity i would say no. Also the debate of whether his "prestige" and image he brings to the game should hold any barring on this again i said no but other said yes. I am just interested in hearing some peoples reasons and answers on this.

I am dead last in my 12 team rotisserie keeper league. Now the way it is set up is your keepers are established by the round you pick them in the years prior. So for example 3 or 4 years ago i selected Crosby in 1st round. So he has been my 1st round keeper for the least 3 or 4 years. Now i am in last due to an abundant amount of injuries and bad luck. ( Gagne, Pominville, Bourge, Varlamov, Tuuka, Phanef, Burrows, Rafalski, Hossa, all have been hurt or just havent played enough at some point.) So i was offered this trade.

I give Crosby RD1 Hossa or Bertuzzi and Bourqe

I get Toews RD 8, Erickson last round ( he was a waiver wire pick up a few years ago

I think this is a pretty fair trade. I am so far back in so many categories as of now that even if i make a run ill prolly only finish around 5-6th. So what do you think Do it or no and why?

Pats are playing the Chargers and Niners got the panthers. Davis i hear might have a slight problem with his knee.

The project is a 5 minute speech of any topic i choose. I want to do the project on the Hockey and need 3 core ideas on why i like the NHL or why i think others should be interested and watch, play, participate in any form of hockey. I was thinking of using these three ideas. 1) Its physical 2) Fast paced and exciting but i cant come up with a solid number 3. So i was wondering 2 things. If anyone can come up with a good #3 or tweak my other 2 so they can b broken into 3 categories. And also i was wondering if anyone knows of any good clips that would tie into the categories chosen.

At least to me they all seem to have like a dusty smell. Its not a bad smell but every cat i have come across has smelled like that

My keeper league has been going on for 3 or 4 years now i don't remember off the top of my head. The problem im having is finalizing my final keeper after hearing about the Strasburg injury. After pulling a few trades this was my keeper list i WAS using for next year

RD 1: Cabrera

RD 2: Fielder

RD 3: Strasburg

RD 10: Price

RD 11: Carpenter

RD 20: McCutchen

RD 22: Reynolds

but with strasburgs injury im not sure who else to keep i have a toss up between 3 players. Also im not sure if i want to keep mccuthen anymore. The three players im thinking about keeping are Uggla in Rd 6, Motero in Rd 19, or Wieters in Rd 7
