hi :)
Could someone help check my Japanese translation, please?
It's an interview. This is the whole text:
A:うーん、なんでしょうね、みんな、言うだけっていう感じがー番強いんですけど。
*みんな = politicians?
*I don't understand what is 強い supposed to mean here.. so I can't get this sentence right
Interviewer:言うだけ・・・。
A:はい。なんか・・・、うーん、なんかこうしたいと思います、ああしたいと思いますって、選挙なんかでも言うじゃないですか。 当選したらこうしますとか。あれも、でも、なんか、やっぱ言うだけやろとか。うーん、なんか。
-- it's like, when politicians(candidates) promote themselves, they can say anything they want, that if they get elected they'll do this and that. But they only say (and won't do).
Interviewer:実際に物事が変わっていないということ?
-- Things aren't really changing?
A:なんかあまり何も変わってないですね。だから、みんな、選挙とかでも、当選しても誰でも同じやん、とかいうのがあるじゃないですか。
-- Nothing is really changing, so no matter who gets elected, it's the same.
*what noun does の(が) refers to?
*by "things aren't changing" does this mean all politicians talk but won't actually do when they get elected, and it has always been like this?
Interviewer:選挙には興味ある?選挙する?
-- Are you interested in elections? will you elect?
A:いや、私も同じ考えて誰がなっても同じやなってのがあるんで。あまり興味がないんですよ。
-- She has no interest in election, because she believes that there's no difference no matter who wins the election..??
Interviewer:投票しない?
-- Won't you vote?
A:あ、仕事あったんで行ってないですね。
-- No, I have work to do so I don't go to vote.
*I'm a bit confused why is the verb ある/あった in past sentence?
I've tried my best but I still don't fully understand this text. If there are any mistranslation or any important mark I missed, please point them out for me. Thank you so much m(_ _)m
1 AnswerLanguages6 years agoCivilization in Europe (from exchanges between city-dwelling and rural(or nomadic) societies?
How and why exchanges between city-dwelling societies and societies based in rural areas helped to produce civilization in Europe up to around 1500 CE?
Could you please give 3 major examples to show 3 specific and significant changes? (as a result of a mix between those living in cities and those living in rural areas or as nomads)
1 AnswerHistory8 years agoI plan to go to Tokyo. I wonder about the Golden Week period..?
I looked up the Golden Week for 2012 & found that it ends on May 6th. I want to go to Tokyo the week that follows (May 7th - May 11th) because of a specific reason. However, I wonder...
1) Will it still be as busy as the Golden Week? (taking trains, buses, the traffic, etc)
2) Will it still be crowded in Tokyo? (on the streets, in places like Shibuya, etc)
3) All shops will have opened by May 7th already, right?
I hear a lot that it's very busy and crowded during the Golden Week.
But my plan is like the very next day after the Golden Week..
So I want to know if it'll be different and if things will completely go back to normal already.
Thank you so much in advance :)

1 AnswerBiology9 years agoWhere can I find an iPhone 4 case like this (in Japan)?
I will go to Japan soon and I want to find an iPhone 4 case like this:
http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/ww325/happyberr...
Have you ever seen one like that in any stores or somewhere?
Btw, I think it's a case but I'm not 100% sure... It could be a skin.
And I have no idea what that image on the case is supposed to look like -_-
The guy in the photo is Japanese so I think he bought it in Japan.
So, I wonder if anyone has seen one like this?
I really want to know where I can find it...
Thank you in advance m(_ _)m
2 AnswersJapan1 decade agoGiving fan mail at live concerts in Japan?
When you go to a live concert, you can give a fan mail, right?
I wonder, how do you give it?
Do you give it to the staff at the venue door, before you enter?
If I go to the venue without attending the live concert (I have no tickets)
will I be able to drop off a fan mail? How do I do that?
In Japan, do they actually give fan mail to the artists if you send
a fan mail to the company? And, does handling it at the live venue
have more possibility that the fan mail will reach the artists?
I think the fan mail received at the venue will be read right after the live,
but the fan mail sent to the company might take several months to be
handed to the artists .___. Is that true?
Anyway, thank you in advance! :)

Thank you so much in advance. :)
Whoever will help, you have no idea how much I'd appreciate that. >_<

8) You never reply me, I feel unloved. T^T But it's OK, I still love you~ ^_^
9) You have no idea how much effort I put to find a way to fly to Japan to see your live in Nagoya. I tried everything I can. I'm so sad I have to miss it. I can't go to Budoukan in January, either. (T_T) Come to Thailand next year, maybe? (^_^)
10) Do you remember this? [suppose I send a picture. and, is 'おぼえていますか?' OK? I want it to sound polite too. >_<]

By the way, What is 'by the way' in Japanese? [The same 'by the way' I used here, haha]
If it's not too much to ask for, I also want the Romaji version so I know how to pronounce. But if that's too much, it's OK. :) Because I know that's a lot of sentences. I'm sorry! >_<
And, yes, I know some of those sentences sound stupid, haha. XD

10) (*´∀`*) → what does this emoticon mean? Is it just a smile and/or blushing? >_<

If I'm talking to a member of the band, when I say something like 'your live concert, your music, etc' should I use just 'anata' or its plural form? I don't know which one's more proper. >_<
Uh, that's a lot, haha. So, thank you so much in advance! ♪
2 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoGrammar help :) Are these sentences correct?
If I want to write a description for a photo, should I write:
1) "This is a photo of me." or "This is a photo of mine." ?
2) These sentences
"This is a photo of me with my mother and sister."
"I am the one in the middle."
"On the left is my friend." (should it be 'is' or 'was'?)
Are those sentences correct? Do I write them in present tense?
3) "This photo was taken at Sensoji, Tokyo, Japan." can I write like that, with 3 commas?
(as Sensoji is a temple in Tokyo, a city in Japan)
4) "The piano you see in the photo was my very first one." Is that correct?
Would "my first piano" sound better? Should I put 'very'?
The last one,
5) "My family owns a music school, so I grew up listening to a lot of classical music."
Did I use the correct of tense?
I separated them into numbers so they won't confuse you. XD
Thanks in advance! :)
6 AnswersWords & Wordplay1 decade agoGrammar help :) A few questions here...?
1) Which sentence is correct?
Music has always been a part of my daily life.
OR
Music has always been part of my daily life.
I've seen both "a part of" and "part of" so I don't know which one is correct. :l
2) If I wrote "They do really care about their fans." in my essay, would that be correct? I mean, I used the word 'do' to, you know, emphasize the meaning that they really care. Is that correct, or is that informal? Can I use 'do' like that in an essay?
3) "They can be inappropriate sometimes." Is that correct, the word 'sometimes'? Or should it be 'sometime' or 'some time'? I'm pretty sure I used the correct word, but my teacher marked my essay and said it should be 'sometime'. :S
4) "I can listen to anything - from classical to punk rock." Is that sentence grammatically correct? Okay, I think it should be "I can listen to all music - from classical to punk rock." but does the first one make a proper sentence, too? (Say I already mentioned 'music' in a sentence before that one.)
5) If I wrote:
My favorite band is All Time Low.
Is that correct, too? Or does it *always* have to be like this:
My favorite band is "All Time Low."
(where exactly should I put the '.' anyway? xD)
By the way, those are questions popping into my head after I submitted my essay to my English teacher (who is not a native speaker and sometimes when he speaks, he makes grammar mistakes too :\ weird...).
before I continue, did I use that sentence correctly? :\ the 'popping into' thing... oh and if I use any wrong grammar in this question please correct it for me so I know not to make the same mistakes again lol. xD)

5 AnswersCelebrities1 decade agoAt what age did you start wearing makeup?
And, where are you from (country)?
Also if it's not too much...
Did you learn it yourself, or did someone teach you?
I'm just curious. I'm from Thailand and I'm already sixteen - but my mom (and my older sister who is 25) won't allow me to wear makeup at this age, haha (maybe until I finish my high school). Here in Thailand I've seen lots of people start wearing makeup during their high school (or even before that! but only a few... well I dont know), but I've seen some start after they graduate too...
So I'm curious about other people, especially from other countries. :)
