I need someone to explain what this physics problem is asking?
I don't want anyone to actually answer the problem, I just need help understanding it.
Here is the problem:
1. The Earth has an electric field whose magnitude near Earth's surface is about 160 N/C. The direction of the field is towards the center of the Earth. Let's assume that this field is made by charges that are spread uniformly over Earth's surface.
a) Determine the sign and magnitude of the charge on Earth's surface. Explain completely, using the definition of electric field. A diagram showing Earth's electric field lines is required as part of your explanation. You will need to find out what Earth's radius is in order to answer this question.
Okay, so I have been home sick for a few days now, and I feel like I missed any explanation my teacher did in class. Anyways, the main thing I don't understand about this is the field thing. It says that it's made by charges on Earth's surface, and that the field goes towards the center of the Earth. However, is it the field outside of Earth that goes towards it (and thus the charges), or is it that the field goes out from the charges and towards the center of the Earth (which would cause the field outside of the Earth to point away from it)? I also don't understand why I need the radius of the Earth for this. Could anybody explain what they mean for me?
1 AnswerPhysics1 decade agoWhere on youtube is the video of gai and kakashi's team competing in a play?
There are two videos of it, methinks. Maybe just one. Not sure. Anyways, kakashi and gai's teams try to outdo one another in plays, and sakura plays robin hood? Can anyone help me find it?
1 AnswerYouTube1 decade agoWhat note sequence would I use for composing carnival-themed music.?
Okay, I'm not the maestro here, but I'm trying to compose a song. The song is mostly electric guitar, but I want it to start out with a carnival themed intro. But I have one problem- I can't seem to figure out what the right notes for it are. And I'm not sure what instrument to use either. I was thinking it would be accordion, piccolo, or harmonica, but none of those sound right. Is there anyone here who can tell me what I need to do? Thank you all so much. :)
1 AnswerOther - Music1 decade agoWays to violate social norms?
I need several ways to violate social norms for a project. These must be actual things I can do and document, that are not psychotic, illegal, rude, etc.
