Ways to violate social norms?

Oh, geez, there's TONS of ways to violate social norms without being psychotic, illegal, rude, etc.

Example: wear clashing clothes. Like checkerboard pants with dots on the blouse and an orange hat, green shoes, purple belt.

Wear clothes out of season For example, wear a heavy coat in summer.

Wear clothes inappropriately. Be fully clothed but wear a swimsuit outside your other clothes.

Gosh, I can think of a ton of "rude" things (like sneezing into your hand then wiping it clean on someone's jacket) but you ruled out "rude."

OK, pretend to be reading the newspaper but hold the newspaper upside down. Or hold the newspaper like you're reading it but have cut out eye holes so you can watch the people around you.

Carry a closed box around with you and periodically lift the lid just a tiny bit and ask "Are you still OK in there?" then laugh like a maniac.

I need several ways to violate social norms for a project. These must be actual things I can do and document, that are not psychotic, illegal, rude, etc.

There are tons of little things you can do. One of my favorites is to smile and hand somebody (a friend) a handful of my trash. Y'know...I open a pack of cigs and say, "here!" all friendly-like and then they have to deal with my trash. It's also fun to violate social norms by forcing checkout people off their scripts. I can't nail this one down better than that, but making someone with a rote, boring job think outside the shell is always fun.

Be punk in drublic before 4PM. Smile and insult someone. Dance in inappropriate venues. Being too loud is the province if teenagers, but try being too quiet sometime. Freaking /everybody/ will listen to you. Fake a yawn and see who follows-up. Instead of scrawling "Shirleey sux dick", scrawl something actually clever on a bathroom wall. Or keep your pen in your pocket. Mess with people's heads. Running out of steam here. Later.

Wow, I have the same project due in my Psych class next week! So some things that I have found successful:

Stare at people while walking past them.

Overdress for school and/or wear tacky clothes. (You might want to bring clothes to change into though. It gets kinda old to be walking around in a nice dress or obnoxious clothes all day.)

Talk in an accent for a while or sing conversations.

There is nothing that can be done that violate social norms that are at not at lest rude. So you fail the project.

The most destructive and lest illegal thing possible is to tell the truth the whole truth without any PC spin doctoring.

in order to violate social norms, you got to have a good reason that is even better than them. Like, when you destroy a wall because there is some treasure beneath it.

Talk to yourself out loud.

Respectfuly - do not answer anyone all day.

Wear smudged lipstick.

Free dance down the street.

Go for a shower with all your clothes on.

Eat your pudding before your dinner.

Operate on a 20 hour day rather than 24.

Walk around without shoes on outside

(I was shouted at by an old man for this one when I was fifteen - he said he had fought in a war so we could have shoes)

dress in opposite gender clothes.

Face backwards when riding in an elevator

Sing your response in answer to a question

Ask for personal advice from a cashier or supermarket worker (e.g., should I quit school? should I get a divorce?)

Pick up your own plates at a restaurant, and ask where you should leave your dishes
