  • Please help!!! Between Two cars honda and ford?

    I'm looking into two cars.

2017 honda fit and the 2016 ford focus

    both are new.

The honda is a bit more but here are the two deals I have

    Ford focus first trim level - 2,000 down - 215 a month 6 years

    Honda fit second trim - Lease - 699 down - 215 a month

If I get the Honda i plan to buy at the end unless I I find a good reason not too.

I want to keep my car at least 10 years and I'm concerned about the reliability of the ford. The ford has 50/50 reviews and is said to be better for people who want to switch it out after 3-6 years. and is known to have transmission problems..

    What does everyone think??

  • I need Help buying my first car?

So i'm about to my my first car.

I am 18 and in college.

My tuition is completely free and i get about 5,980 for fasfa.

I have a job that pays $12 - $15 and hour (depends what school) ( i work as a SEA Substitute)

A seasonal job at sees candy making $11 an hour (only holiday months like valentines and christmas

and a two month long internship getting 11$ an hour.

I have read about people getting cars for about $1,000-$8,000. But I know many things can go wrong with those cars and they end up only lasting maybe 1-4 years. which to me is not worth it. I also hear about people getting an old car to get time for saving up for a different one, a more expensive one. (but i dont see a point in that...getting a crap car just to buy time to save...unless thats your only option)

I originally wanted the chevy volt (but i gave up on that when I found out it costs $23,000)

I did find the HONDA fit 2017 for $15,789 or $17,200 (depends on version)

do you think thats a good price? should I go cheaper into the $10,000 or $8,000

I want a car that will last with barely no issues. When I buy the car... its going to be the one i use for a long time. So it needs to be safe...good collision saftey stuff.

I think for the price the honda fit offers alot

Side cameras for switching lanes, back camera, push to start, and the size is great...cause it fits by bike.

  • HELP!!! Having family issues with MOM?

    Im 18 and a female

Over the recent years my relationship with my mother has been on edge. she has depression on and off and our money situation has not been that good.

She has often borrowed money from me, tell me she would give it back soon..waited for a year. and still does. it would have bothered me if she had asked but sometimes she didnt.

Also... I had a puppy for about 1 month and she decided to give it away without telling me until the day of. later our family got a cat.. and i told her"Dont give her up,, and at least tell me" well guess what.. she didnt.. visited my grandma's place and the cat was gone. so now I have trust issues with her.

I find that she is also bad with money buying house stuff when she knows we dont have alot. then when one of her automatic bills come out she turns to me for help.

yesterday i came down with a sore throat etc. and told her i need to go to the doctors. she said she would like to visit macy's for about 10 minutes, should have known better but i said yes. we ended up staying 45 shopping and another 30 at the cash register. I was buying a bath mat and she said wanted me to get up to 25 for 10$ off. i didnt want to and then she said "im her mom and where buying it"... I'm 18 you have no control what i buy with my money!!!! than she tool the three towles I BOUGHT and only gave me $3. saying this is the extra over what you would have spent. she took three towels at $2.79 each.

    sorry it's long
