Please help!!! Between Two cars honda and ford?

I'm looking into two cars.

2017 honda fit and the 2016 ford focus

both are new.

The honda is a bit more but here are the two deals I have

Ford focus first trim level - 2,000 down - 215 a month 6 years

Honda fit second trim - Lease - 699 down - 215 a month

If I get the Honda i plan to buy at the end unless I I find a good reason not too.

I want to keep my car at least 10 years and I'm concerned about the reliability of the ford. The ford has 50/50 reviews and is said to be better for people who want to switch it out after 3-6 years. and is known to have transmission problems..

What does everyone think??

Never buy a new car at more than 3 years payments or the length of the waranty whichever is shorter.

Second hand never buy over longer than 18 months. This includes end of lease purchase.

A lot happens in 6 years and it is easy to end up upside down

Either put one third or more down.

If you cannot do this you are buying a car you cannot afford.

Look at how much interest you are paying!

    This is money thrown away.

    Leasing is money thrown away.

Where I am there are interest free deals on new cars.

Buy, do not lease the Honda. Leasing is the more costly option if you have long term ownership goals. A loan will cost you less over time than a lease plus a loan(to pay off the balance after the lease).

The Ford won't last you 10 years.

You are 18. You aren't leasing or buying a car.

HI actually the lease is a much better option anyway as repairs if it needs them are done under the lease argeement. as is servicing or should be so that will save you a pile too.
