I am currently pursuing a BA in Journalism. I have always had a passionate relationship with writing, and I am positive that journalism is the right career path for me to pursue. I'm also aware that the field of journalism does not pay well. In other words, I am not entering journalism expecting to become rich. However, I still haven't declared my major and I am starting to have little doubts. I've been thinking a lot about my future. Is it worth it? Is journalism a good career choice? I always found this career to be active and exciting where you get to meet a lot of people and visit different places. I don't want my job to consist of being confined to an office cubicle and dealing with tons of papers/numbers like an accountant.

Do you think the media are the ones who shape our gender role ideologies? Or is it the other way around?-society determines these gender roles and the media is just a reflection of this?

Also , do you think that societies, particularly in the US, are experiencing the convergence of gender roles? Because traditionally, women are the nurturers and homemakers whereas men are the breadwinners and play the more dominant role. However, there's been a change in this. We are no longer abiding by the norms society expects from us. Sex roles have been reversed. Men are sometimes portrayed as the nurturers in advertisements , and so on. What do you think? I'd like your input !

Do you think that the image of the "Modern woman" is the a product of an emerging global commodity culture? How is modernity and a consumer culture interrelated?

I would like to buy tarot cards. However, I have taken notice that there a variety of Tarot cards to choose from, and I don't know where to begin because I do not know much about them. Any suggestions?

I want to buy the Basic universal ones. What are they called?

I have considered getting a small and simple tattoo on my ankle (I am 18). How badly would it hurt? I know that everybody has a different tolerance to pain, but I am just curious about your answers/personal experiences. Also, when searching for a good and reliable tattoo parlor what do I need to look out for?
