New World DW60 dishwasher knowledge?
I have a 5 year old New World dishwasher that has only been used used once weekly on average. The pump seems to be working but the detergent tablet does not dissolve and the dishes don't get clean although there seems to be steam present when door is opened. It is giving an error message E3 which is described in the manual as a temperature sensor fault.
I would like to know if this means the thermostat and where it is situated in the machine. Also could I attempt the repair myself as the parts cost about £10. I am reluctant to pay for a repair man because of its age (other parts may fail) and it would cost nearly as much as a new machine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

is broken. We have used it once weekly for circa 5yrs. All filters and rotors are clean. It starts ok and finishes approximately on time. But in between are periods of inactivity and noises like a brick in a cement mixer (only much quieter). It beeps its warning at end of cycle and pumps water out ok and on opening the door there seems to be hot water splashed everywhere but the dishes are not washed and the detergent sachet has been ejected but has not dissolved. Are these things worth repairing or do I buy new?

In my car to record evidence for any collisions I may be in. Regularly it records numpties doing all kinds of dangerous things. Can I upload these to youtube if their registration plates are visible - or can I get sued?
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics8 years agoSwinton Insurance is charging?
5 months into a home contents policy with Swinton I decided to cancel it as I could get it cheaper elsewhere. They are charging what looks like the balance of the payments to cancel plus £5 if paid by card. I cannot understand the paragraph on cancellation in the terms - it is gobbledegook. Every payment was made and no claims made - does this sound correct, are they able to do this and why?

Roman numerals. I saw it done in an old encyclopaedia but cannot remember how them pesky romans did it. Anybody know?
1 AnswerOther - Education8 years agoAre Welsh names spelt differently?
I read somewhere that, for instance, the surname Griffiths in English is spelt without the terminal 's' in Welsh because the English version is short for Griffithson. This of course would not be true in Welsh. Apparently this applies to all names ending in a consonant followed by an 's'. Is this correct?

Hi, I have a '09 Mitsubishi Colt Auto, intermittently (usually when needed quickly) it refuses to select reverse gear. The display shows '0' not 'R' but if I select Auto and very quickly move it to 'R' it sometimes jumps in to gear - occasionally accompanied by a loud clunk. Otherwise it is a good little car. Does this sound expensive?
3 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs8 years agoShouldn't supermarkets use a 'harvested on' date?
on their 'fresh' produce rather than a 'use by' date as most of it goes mouldy within a few days. One wonders how old it really is if irradiation etc. is allowed to be used.

will council tax payers be expected to make up the tax shortfall to fund the public sector's bloated sickpay and pension schemes out of their minimum wage pay packets. Only people on benefits will be able to live here.
