  • Fun word problem: CROSS +ROADS = DANGER solve for each letter?

In celebration of my reaching level 5 (for mostly math answers), i thought I'd post this fun word problem to challenge everyone:

Can you solve for each letter. Each letter has a different value (0 through 9). All of the same letter (IE all "R" letters) have the same numeric value.

    . C R O S S <-- the dot is to try make the lines straight

    + R O A D S

    -----------------

    D A N G E R

Yahoo answers formatting is a little quirky, so working backwards the single units are S, S R, the "tens" units are S, D, E, the hundreds units are O, A, G, .. etc etc

  • What day did Jesus get to the city? What day did he die? What day did he rise?

I am having a hard time understanding Easter.

I know the name comes from Eatre or Easotro, and has its origins in a srping or fertility festival. My questions are not about that. I am looking for an explanation of how the days work out.

I don't see how this can be true, "For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." [Matthew 12:40]

the three nights just doesn't make sense.

Can someone explain the 7 days leading to Jesus's resurrection to me?

I also have a question on years in the bible if anyone wants to help me out on that;: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Alt50...

  • How accurate are "Years" in th bible? (as relates to prophecies, etc ...)?

    Hi all,

So I have seen a couple of answers recently that talk about the Bible and its references to "our times", or "present days" etc.

And I want to ask how you know what time periods are which from the Bible.

Please do not answer with quick posts about "Read for yourself" etc, but please answer if you have a well pronounced thought on the subject.

    Here are my quandaries;

1, The Bible tells us that for the prophecies a year is as a day and a day is as a year ... so how do you know which is which?

-When it says 1360 days does it mean days or years

-When it talks of the devil taking over on earth for 3 1/2 years is that days or years?

2, a day is a day is a day .. always has been. But the year has changed and in the time and place of Jesus's they used the Hebrew calendar, so how do we convert the years in the Bibel to years that some later pope decreed shoudl be "Christian years".

    Thanks for all your feedback
