13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoCould this ability be termed as grace as well?
It is commonly believed in Christian circles that Grace is favours that we don't merit, then a few things have I observed under the sun
I have seen guys who are extremely rich, yet humble, love God to the core, some of us if we get a few dollars,we get puffed up.I mean that ability to be on top of finances is it Grace?
2.I've seen people who are taking care of their loved ones that are sickly, bogged down by infirmities you look at them and wonder my God how do they manage this?
3. their are people right now that are going through situations that are as hot as though through a fiery furnace but through it all they can still afford a smile. That ability is what I'm talking about, and several other examples that you are thinking about.
In 2Corinthians 12:8 concerning this things I pleaded with the Lord three times, that it might depart from me And He said to me "My grace is sufficient for you,for my strength is made perfect in weakness"

7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs working smart ethical, moral,Godly and good?
The book of Proverbs, talks tough against laziness, slothfulness and encourages had work and determination.People get oppressed when the lazy are in control, have everything they need, wealth at their disposal and have their way.
Nobody wants to be called lazy, hence creation of new terminologies like working smart. We scheme in our idle corners, day and night and end up filling our bank accounts with lot's of cash, with nothing to quantify our gains.Today hard work no longer pays.I don't hate anybody just asking economist and Bible scholars to shade more light on this subject

8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agohave you ever deprived the world of it's peace?
In the Bible book of Luke 10:5 Jesus says "when you enter a house first say peace to this house and if a man of peace is in there your peace will rest on him,if not it will return to you.
You see if you love Jesus your feet are shod with the gospel of peace, and blessed are the feet that brings glad tidings. When therefore you go out on missions do you sleep in hotels? you are denying people their blessings ant you?

Charles Spurgeon and Joseph Parker both had churches in London in the 19th. century. On one occasion,Parker commended on the poor condition of children admitted to Spurgeon's orphanagee. It was reported to Spurgeon however, that Parker had criticised the orphanage itself.
Spurgeon blasted Parker the next week from the pulpit. The attack was printed in the news papers and became the talk of the town.Come the next sunday and people aroused with curiosity and ready to witnesss the big show down, flocked to Parker's church to hear his rebuttale "I understand Dr.Spurgeon is not in his pulpit today, and this is the sunday they use to take an offering for the orphanage. I suggest we take a love offering here instead" The crowd was delighted. The ushers had to empty the collection plates 3 times. Later that week there was a knock at Parker's study room.It was Spurgeon "You know Parker you have practised grace on me, you have given me not what I deserved but what I needed" He said.
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat can we liken the grace of our God to?
It is like when one day,Billy Graham was driving through a small southern town,He was stopped by a police man and charged with speeding. Graham admitted his guilt but was told by the officer that he would have to appear in court.
The judge asked "guilty or not guilty? When Graham pleaded guilty the judge replied"that will be ten dollars - a dollar for every mile you went over the limit"
Suddenly the judge recognised the famous minister "you have violated the law" he said "the fine must be paid but I am going to pay it for you" He took a ten dollar bill from his own wallet, attached it to the ticket, and then took Graham out and bought him a steak dinner "that" said Billy Graham "is how God treats repentant sinners?

6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs the Roman Catholic church the one that Jesus had in mind?
In Mathew 16:17 Jesus said "Blessed are you Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, whatever you bind on earth, will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
Now for those who say that saint Peter was the first Pope, and that he established the Roman Catholic church, can you authoritatively say that this church as it stands out today is the one that Jesus envisaged in the scripture above? please share without fear and let's learn from one another
