sou kai (so desu ka?). Does the 'i' carry any additional meaning?
I know 'sou desu ka/sou ka' means 'is that so?', but I have heard it pronounced sometimes with the i at the end (sou kai<).
Is this something that people add to be unique and interesting, just like we do in English, or is there more of a meaning being the i at the end of kai?
Personally, I love using the 'sou kai' better. Sounds cooler depending on the context, but if I am doing something unacceptable that I dont realize I want to loose the habit quickly. Thanks in advance.
2 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoAdvice on technical certifications (NOT IT)?
I am getting out of a community college soon with a A.S.S. degree for Industrial Maintenance (automation technology like PLCs, motor controls, ac/dc fundamentals, Pneumatics and Hydraulics, basic welding, etc)
This is a degree that gives me a lot of general information in a lot of technical fields; however, I would like to study electrical wiring (NEC) and other relative fields like HVAC in more depth.
I do not want to go back to a school or college. I want to study on my own, and take a test whether online or at a local test area. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Is there anything related to what i want to do? I want to further my education with some degree of proof, without paying an arm or leg. I also want to be able to learn at my convenience without a rigorous schedule.
1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoI have a webcam that doesnt have any drivers for window 7. Any way around this?
ew192aa hp webcam
There are drivers up to windows vista, but none for windows 7. Is there a way (software) to detect and use my webcam without the original hp drivers?
I tried the vista driver just to make sure they would or wouldn't work on windows 7, but it doesn't.
1 AnswerAdd-ons1 decade agoTo what extent do pet rats "mess/potty" up the environment outside their cages?
I would like to get two rats (in the future). The money and social time wouldnt really be a problem, but if they piss even once or twice everytime i take them out, either on me, or anywhere besides their cage, it wouldnt be worth owning them.
I know you can half-way train them to potty in a certain place, on top of them wanting to potty in the same place naturally.
I also know that there is a much greater chance for them to piss when they are scared. (when you frist get them)
Questions:
1. Do they poop outside of the cage, away from their special spot.
2. Do they poop on you?
3. Are they about as clean as a cat walking in their own poop and piss? (meaning... they dont track sticky **** and piss all over my furniture, floor, and myself from their cage.) I know they groom themselves and each other, but to what extent, i dont know.
4. My main question: On average, can you get a rat to not mark/piss on you without a lot of effort? (example: letting him/her rest on shoulder while browse the internet for an hour (not that it would neccessarily stay still that long)
I understand that what i ask for is a lot. I dont blame the rats. lol. I just want to know if they are right for me. I can handle an "accident" every now and then, but if it happens regularly, its no accident.
Thank you in advance for your kind and experienced advice. Be as detailed as you like. The reason im asking these questions is because i cant find the right details online.
6 AnswersRodents1 decade agoIs there a scientific community that is self sufficient and unbothered by the outside society of lies.?
It cost money to live.. by the time i have worked enough time to survive i dont have time or money to do scientific research or to learn how to better myself and others. Is there a place i can go that does not demand you have "money" in order to survive, and also have the resources for research, learning, and improvement, without hinderence from anyone.
Or at least something that is close to this? Or does this not exist.. nothing like it.. are we all slaves?
Thanks,
~jacob
