What to do if asked to go to Police Station?
Okay, not that it matters, but this isn't about me. Someone I know was asked to go to the police station, and they want to know what will happen if they don't.
More info: They're suspected of stealing some tools. When the police showed up the night before, the person denied that they had stolen anything. The police left after looking through their trunk (they didn't find anything). Now...it turns out that the person did steal some tool from someone's car. The police obviously don't know that. Thus the person is afraid to go down to the police station because the police said they have some fingerprints obtained from one of the tools left behind (why the person left it, I'll never know). So, are the police going to come and arrest the person if they don't go down to the station? I don't know how much proof they have.
Just...it's messed up, I hate this. This is apparently the first time the person has committed such a crime, but they're afraid that the police will link them to other crimes around the area (even though they didn't commit them). Ugh. Please just give me some straight answers, I know this person really well, and it's upsetting.
6 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police1 decade agoHow would you take this?
If you told someone how much you weigh, and they said, "I thought you'd weigh less than that," would you (personally) take that as a compliment? I think I would, because it sounds better than "you look like you weigh more than that". I guess it depends on how you view your body though. So anyways, tell me how you'd take such a comment?
5 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoFor the first time in over 3 years, I puked this morning.?
To much information? Sorry. Around 2am this morning I woke up and felt sick to my stomach (literally), and after a lot of bathroom visits and attempts to fall back asleep (I have to get up at 5:35 for school), around 3:30 or so I puked up a lot of orange vomit. Afterwards I felt ok, but I still couldn't get to sleep. At 5 I puked up more orange vomit. I told my mom why I was staying home and she obviously agreed. I finally managed to get a bit of sleep, from like 6-7:20am. At 8 I puked up something green (?), which might be bile, since I didn't eat any vegetables in the past days. And then I was dry heaving.
And here I am. My stomach is still sore. I feel like crap. My little sister had to be picked up from school early yesterday because she was throwing up, and on Monday morning my dad said he had the stomach flu (but he still went to Ohio that same day for construction work). Could I have caught this from them? At school a lot of my friends have been absent sometime during the week, saying they were sick.
Umm my question is, do I have the stomach flu? Do I need medicine, or will it go away on it's own? I don't want to miss school again tomorrow, for various reasons, but I don't want to go if i'm sick.
5 AnswersOther - Health1 decade agoTurnitin essay help, unsure?
I had to send in an essay through turnitin.com. On the paper my teacher gave me it says that it will show the percentage of plagiarism after you submit it, but I can't find it anywhere. Does it take some time? I don't have any worries about it, I typed it all myself without looking at anything besides the book itself (The Great Gatsby) and adding some quotes that I properly cited, but i'd still like to know how much it says is plagiarized, just in case.
2 AnswersHomework Help1 decade agoWii for Christmas?
This Christmas I really want a Nintendo Wii, and my mom said I could get one if I saved some money (like $100), and my parents paid for the rest plus Super Smash Bros Brawl (along with smaller gifts). I'm already getting a $65 gift card from some relatives at the end of October (really early family Christmas), and I babysit every week, so i'll have enough.
I just want to know when my parents should get the Wii, because i've heard countless times that it'll be hard to find them around the holidays (from past experience, I believe them). I'll give Best Answer to a informative/helpful answer.

2 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoFanfiction error?
Okay, this is getting very annoying. For at least 3 days now i've been getting this message whenever I go to search for a fanfic on fanfiction.net:
"FanFiction.Net Error An exception error has occurred while processing your request.
If the problem persists, please alert site admin via support@fanfiction.com.
All errors are logged for administrative and security purposes."
Has anyone else been getting this? I really want to reread this old fanfic from a long time ago but I can't remember the name, but I know what to search for xP
1 AnswerOther - Internet1 decade agoWi-Fi help?
I've had a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector for months now, and it works fine. It's not the connection or anything thats the problem. But theres a window on the taskbar that only comes up when it's running, but it's not. I haven't used it for weeks, so why would it show up now? When I click on it, nothing pops up, but it doesn't let me get rid of it. I've tried restarting the computer, but the stupid thing wont go away. It's not...harming the computer or anything (I don't think?!?), but when I have a lot of windows open it just gets in the way.
By the way, the connector isn't plugged into the computer either.

1 AnswerComputer Networking1 decade agoAny recommendations for books involving crimes?
I like reading books about crimes, I find them interesting, and it keeps me aware that things like that really do happen. I've read one about a school shooting, another about abuse. Any length is good for me.

When we get sad, we get tears. Why is that? I know that when we get something in our eye, tears help get rid of it, but other than that, what's the purpose?

6 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoHow can I stop my cat from peeing on the rug?
My cat Misty (she's female) pees on a rug by the front door, and my mom is starting to get really annoyed, and so am I. My mom has washed the rug countless times with some bleach, but Misty continues to pee there. Does anyone have any tips to get her to use the litterbox for peeing and not the rug? By the way, she is two years old and we've had her since she was a kitten. She just recently started this problem.
