  • 1990 Ford ranger 4x4 wiring transfer case?

Under the truck on the transfer case there are 2 wires green and yellow that are on a plug to the transfer case, also a stand alone brown wire.

I noticed a nearby harness with a connection and thats where the wires seem to have pulled away from, nowmy electronic 4x4 will not enguage, the motor still works, but will not light or lock in.

I need either a snapshot or a diagram of the wireing plug and what goes where.

  • plumbing question - vent - waste pipes?

I just remodeled the bathroom replaced all the old cast iron pipes with PVC sced 40 piping. (no leaks)

    The system runs as follows:

Kitchen sink - to - washing machine - to the tub drain - then to the main outlet.

the toilet is running on it's own drain line to the main

the bathroom sink also runs on it's own line to the main.

there is only one vent pipe on the system and that is on the main just before it asses through the wall and out into the septic tank.

Now with that explained when the washing machine empties the wastewater it will either go into the tub or make the toilet gurgle, or both at the same time !!

I am needing to know that I do need to add another waste drain vent to this system, but where should it go??

Easiest spot would be outside the kitchen window from the sink before the washer, would that stop the backpressure and help the water not backup into the tub???

Best answer recieves 5 stars !!!!

  • I have a floor framing question - old construction pre 1950?

I believe the original part of the home that I am working on was built around 1948 and the floor joists are logs about 6" in diameter they were rough sawn to about 4" on 2 sides only.

These logs are 16" on center and are resting on a basement wall without pressure treated sill.

I recently remodeled the above bathroom with a ceramic tile floor and 36" up the walls. I removed the cast tub and installed a fiberglass 1 piece unit. The floor and walls added a lot of weight to the floor joists, and I do not have room to sister anything or remove the logs.

I am wondering what is a good cheap method to keep the floor solid, and the grout from cracking over time due to the floor not being very stable.

The subfloor itself is 4 layers thick adding up to about 3-5/8", it does not squeak at all, and I used a cement backerboard for the tiles. 1/2"

  • Toilet floor/wall tiles?

I am in the process of tiling my bathroom, now that I have the 12 X 12 tiles on the floor and nearly done with them, I need to do the walls behind the toilet sink and cabinet.

My question is, how far do I have to move the toilet flange (pipe) forward so the new tiles will not interfere.

The toilet sits right on the wall. I used 1/2" backerboard, and I am using a 4x4 tile and thinset to mix and hold it together

The toilet tank was against the back wall tightly before I started this project. I had to replace subfloor and I installed 1/2" cement backerboard on the floor and walls.

I am using a 4x4 tile on the walls going 3" up from the floor. I need to know how much this will move the toilet forward so I know how much to cut from in front of the waste pipe so the toilet will have room when I go to re-install it in the next 2-3 days ( I hope)

  • severly bruised ribs?

I rolled a 650 pound snowmobile and the handlebars got me in the ribs pretty good.

I went to the hospitol and the xrays said they are not broken or fractured, but badly bruised.

I was given oxycodone for pain, but at 430 thismorning I got woke up from a cough, I could barley move without moaning in pain.

I had to roll out of bed and move very slowly down the stairs, by the time I reached the bottom I was in tears from the pain.

Once there I pulled the string for the ceiling fan light in the kitchen, and I dropped to the floor in pain and layed there for a while.

My question is - are these pills not enough for the ain?

Is there anything I can do for relief?

    heat or cold?

I might go back for a second set of xrays, I can barly move now. This is the worst that the pain has been.

PS - this happened Sunday night
