  • 110% mortgage advice- help!?

I have over a 110% mortgage but i do have some savings. My mortgage is with a subprime lender and i'm in negative equity, but i am on a variable rate so at the current interest is quite low. Should i use my savings to pay off some off some of the dept on my mortgage or should i keep saving it? I'm not getting any interest on my savings so wondered if putting money into my mortgage would be the right thing to do.

  • shower installation advice?

I'm thinking about adding an electric shower above my existing bath/taps. My only worry is my water tank (which delivers hot and cold water) is on the same level in a cupboard next to the bathroom. Does this mean i may not get much water pressure? How much roughly would a plumber charge for a straight forward installation including the cost of the electric shower? I think i'll be ok with the tiling/grouting, fitting a shower curtain/screen etc. Obviously my next step is to get quotes but i'd be interested in your views to have a further understanding on the subject. Thanks

  • Maintence/ground rent regulations/laws?

I live in a flat in the UK. We have to pay a monthly fee to a company who are meant to up keep the grounds ie. cut the grass etc. They have been very poor since i moved in 3 years ago, and are not meeting the standard requirement in my opinion. I pay £50 a month which is an Absolute rip off. I've threatened on many occasions to withhold the money if they do not get their act together. Can i do this? What are the implications if i take this action?

On top of this the company never reply to my letters apart from to demand money from me. I'm more than reasonable and don't want to withhold any money, although i feel like i'm being forced to do this because of the lack of co-operation from the management company and the fact that i'm footing the bill for other residents who are not paying.

Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • Help- Sore eyes, any suggestions?

I've recently had really sore eyes. It doesn't matter which eye drops i use my eyes still look bloodshot and feel tired.

I'm on the computer a lot at work so think that could be the problem, although the problem started when i used to wear contact lenses. I can't wear them now though, even after a couple of hours of use my eyes are bloodshot. Please could you advise any solutions?

  • Nothern Rock query?

I'm trying to move my mortgage away from Northern Rock. I had a strange phone call from them this week telling me i could get a better deal else where, they are obviously trying to offload customers like me who owe over a 100% mortgage.

The problem is since i've been living in my property i defaulted on a couple of my credit card payments so i cannot move mortgage companies, as my credit rating is a bit screwed, although i have never defaulted on my mortgage. Although my wages aren't bad there doesn't seem to be any companies willing to risk us, i guess they have all tightend their belt because of the credit crunch.

My problem is i'm paying ridiculous interest rates with northern rock and cannot leave them as explained above. Is there any other companies out there who can help? Can Nothern Rock keep increasing their interest rates until i simply cannot afford my mortgage? I'm on a variable rate, can they cancel my mortage? Is there any way i can get out of this mess?
