Ok I'll keep it short and sweet:

I need a camera so I can take pictures and manipulate them in photoshop (putting a hamburger on the moon, fusing a car with a goldfish, all that fun stuff) I have become sick of seeing something awesome and not being able to get a good picture of it and I hate surfing google for photo's ( also I refuse to pay 20-50 for stockphoto's)

I work with resolutions between 70-350+ pixels per inch

I want something portable(aka not a 10lb. brick) something I can fit in my backpack with decent zoom

I DO NOT care about video or fancy modes (i can do that myself)

Most of my shots will be stills

I want a crisp clear photo with minimal noise<(0_O<)Important!!!) and good saturation

The price range is under 4 digits, the lower the price the better

Tell me what you think my best option is

Ok here are a few points I would like you to know off the bat.

*I will be using the computer for Digital design (photoshop, dreamweaver, flash)

*I will be using a tablet on it

*I hate Vista but am currently working off it (i have a laptop but am looking for a desktop)

*I have an apple cinema 23" display-- the aluminum one--(it was free)

*I HATE VISTA!!!!!!!!!! (and I don't trust Microsoft programs {I have gotten more virus's than I can count or stand})

*This is a big one- I AM BROKE what ever I buy has to work for me and last for a couple of years

Ok now that you know this I would like to know your oppinions on what I should buy. I am divided between a mac mini or refurbished mac or a desktop (HP DELL etc.)

Please give me a good response, don't post to bash PC or Mac.

Ok I have seen the apocalyptic predictions for the year 2012, most of which seem a bit fictitious, but one has seemed to stick out with me. In it scientists say that as the planets align a wave of solar radiation that has been traveling since the creation of our universe will pass trough earth as it has done every approximately 13,000 years. They theorize that this way will work like an EMP bomb and knock out power and vital electronics to en extent that is unknown. This made me think (it actually kept me awake a few nights). What if this wave was powerful enough to effect any equipment that works through nuclear fission?

(This is the scary part of my theory ). The US alone has 107 nuclear power plants that store mass amounts of unstable materials which could lead to 107 repeats of the Chernobyl incodent. If this wave were to effect these plants we wouldn't just have to deal with the damage from the explosion, extreme radiation in our main water supplies would also plague us and kill thousands more.

Now to add onto this threat there is the infamous "nukes". In 1945 the Us admited to having created 5,000+. Now 64 years later who knows were that number is. And of course, as if the sheer number was not enough, they are scattered all over the US in order to "protect the nation from a nuclear incodent". That means there could be nukes in every military base,and ship in the US, and there is no telling if our government has decided to hid the nuclear divices near major cities.

And of course this is true for all other countries that use nuclear technology. Meaning that underdeveloped countries would be left unscathed while everyone else is left picking up the peices (hello WWIII).

Now this is just my theory but I seriously hope all governments take possibilities like this into consideration in the near future.

Ok I'm trying to decide on what i want for christmas/ my birthday. Basically I want a electric guitar but i also want an ACOUSTIC. obviously im not going to buy two guitars(at least not yet) and i need some help deciding on a hybrid or you could persuade me to pick one or the other.

anyways here are some things driving my decision

*My budget- my cap is $500 but i can make that a bit bigger if needed

*It needs to be able to be plugged into an amp (this is a must)

*Of course it needs to sound good(expecially if im gonna pay half a grand)

*A cut out is a big thing on my list

*It has to be reliable, meaning i dont want to have to worry about it breaking the second i touch it

*And lastly it has to look ok

ok i did a little digging in my attic and i discovered a really old electric guitar. Its a fender katana (not squire) i did a little research on line and i found out it is supposed to be really rare

Im wondering what i could get for it if i were to sell it

it needs some work but i tried it on my amp and it worked fine sounds great

its serial number is c002641 ( according to a web site i found the 00 is supposed to make it special)

its black with gold detail

everything on it works(i spent a good half hour testing it out)

if you have any idea what it is worth please let me know

Alright this is my attempt to vent(I really need to right now). My question is what have you lost in Bush's reign of economic terror.In this I am hoping to find someone worse off than me and make myself feel stupid for thinking I'm hurting right now.

Ok so this is what I've lost so far(I say so far because Bush is still in office and there is a chance Mc Cain might beat Obama)

*First on the list is my house (along with this goes my pride,my dignity, and about 1,860 sq.ft.)

*Four cars (my original two cars and then the replacement cars I purchased in hopes of being able to pay them off, and now im stuck with the best cars 5G's could buy< and guess what the second i started to drive away with them they began fall to pieces literally : ) >)

*My credit (American Express meet Mr. Toilet)

*Man's best friend (Unfortunately my dog is "Too BIG"for my big O'l 800 or so sq.ft. rental)

*My family and all our sanity (do i really need to go into that?)

*And finally any and all plans for the future (all my hopes and dreams followed the American Express and his buddies down Mr. Toilet)

Ok i have $1100 to $1400 to spend on a laptop at BestBuy could you plz go to BestBuy.com and give me you opinion on what computer would be best for me in that price range

The computer will be used to play games (COD4, WoW, Halo etc.), to download, watch and stream videos, chat, etc.

and in the future it will be used to do some web designing music writing and programing

so please post you opinions and i will pick a best answer

I am in search of a new computer for my home. my past experiences with PC's have been very bad. I have had alot of hardware and ,security problems (thanks to the idots who live in my house) and need something a little more secure/ sturdy. thus i decided to check out the famous apple computers and my eyes fell on the IMac. i am seriously considering this computer but i am conserned that the transition from pc to apple will be difficult and drain my wallet. so i am asking anyone who has made this transition if it is worth my while or if should invest my money somewhere else?

Also here are some of the uses i will use the computer for:

*Downloading/ uploading programs (absolutly has to be fast (my internet is fine the only thing currently slowing me down is the computer)

*Internet(duh)

*games (css, COD 4, etc)

* designing programs and websites for classes

*microsoft office (this is a must (this is the program that the schools use so thats what i need to use)

and thats it for now

My set up:

Black invert Mini (love my gun)

DXS steel tank (super heavy defeats the porpose of having a mini but not unbarable)

velocity jr. (a good hopper no complaints)

i can't decide wether to buy a stiffi barrel so i can make those harder shots(the mini's barrel is good but not amazing i'm looking for something that can give me cross feild accuarcy so i can hit that exposed elbow or leg)

or i can get a used carbon fiber tank for about the same price (it was hydro tested last month and has a new head peice (the part that attaces to the gun) it is in very good condition

i can't decide which to get please give me your opinions

also i bought dye c7 pants (olive) for $80 and am wondering if these are the best for the price also i need a good jersey for a low price (i don't really need pading im just going for looks (and id like it to blend in well on a woods ball feild because i play woods and speed ball.

I have been following paintball for 2 years now and have finally bought my first gun, a Tippmann a-5 with egrips for 279.99+ tax. But now i can't decide whether to keep it or by an ion that i found for a really great price (see link below). Please help me!!!

I'm a rec. player, i like accuracy more than speed but speed is good too, i like both speed and woods ball, i would like to play in tournaments later on, i don't have rediculous amounts of money to spend on upgrades

p.s. if i keep the a-5 i will get an Apex barrel for it and a double trigger

if iget an ion thats all i will spend on it (i can't afford to spend houndreds on upgrades)
