Try not to assume that you know anything about me.

  • Is there any rule against military supervisors ranking their airmen?

Specifically, telling their airmen that they are their #1/2/3/4/5 etc. airman? I feel like this displays favoritism, but I'm not sure if there is an AFI or other regulation prohibiting that.

  • Air Force SrA BTZ question?

I am currently an A1C, I go up for BTZ in the spring and I thought now would be a good time to look at what I've done and what I could do more of and make any changes necessary. (Beware, this is where I brag a little)

    I finished my three CDC EOC's with about a 90 average (87/90/94)

I am President of the Enlisted Airmen's Council at my base, which has given me the opportunity to speak to FTAC classes, plan events, plan fundraisers, meet with high ranking personnel, and lead the hundreds of airmen at my base.

I've won amn of the quarter twice at the squadron/group levels (waiting to find out if I made it at the wing/base atm)

My PT scores are always above a 90

I recently started taking two college courses, and plan to begin online courses soon, hopefully those will all be done before my BTZ board

Both in tech school and my initial training course I won top graduate for leadership abilities, and I was one of two airmen in my initial training course, the majority were officers and SNCO's with a few NCO's in the mix

My job involves briefing commanders and aircrew every week and I've been coined about 12 times

What worries me is that a lot of what I do can't be put into a bullet and I don't have very many "secured $45K worth of air force assets" type bullets that are easy to measure. Also, because of college and the airmen's council I don't have multiple hours of sole volunteer support, I help organize volunteers and run things more often.

And my reasoning for doing what I do is not to get BTZ, but since I've worked so hard and feel like I deserve to earn it, I don't want to waste the opportunity by not striving to do more.

  • I screwed up by lying by omission... how do I make it up to him?

There's a guy that I'm dating, we're sleeping together but not yet exclusive. We had the understanding that we shouldn't sleep with other people but didn't place any other restrictions. I hung out with and kissed and did a little more than kiss another guy last weekend. The other guy told him and when he asked what I did last weekend I didn't bring it up. I was truly trying to decide how to tell him, and he called me out saying I lied by omission.

I apologized, told him he was right and none of my reasons can make up for it, but that I hope he doesn't count me out just yet because I'm only 20 and still learning but I won't make the same mistake again.

What more can I do? I plan to leave him alone for a week or so unless he contacts me.

  • Information about teaching high school vs. elementary..?

What are the qualifications needed to teach high school? Are there less if you want to teach elementary school? I'm particularly interested in Texas, but any general information would be helpful.

  • As a dietary vegan in the USAF, I'm curious as to what accommodations I can request..?

First, please do not try to convince me that being a vegan is wrong, in return I will not bother you with facts and reasons why anyone should give up what they enjoy eating.

What I'd really like to know is whether or not exceptions can be made for airmen in the dorms that are vegan. For example, $320 is taken out of my paycheck and given to the chow hall every month but the chow hall has too few vegan options for me to actually survive on. Is my dietary choice enough of a reason to get my BAS back into my paycheck without moving off base?

Also, while I am getting nutrients and taking supplements I'd really like to talk to a dietician, will the Air Force pay for that?

While some decisions are up to the actual people involved, any insight or even advice would be helpful.

  • Buying a sport bike in the winter; unable to test ride...?

I'm picking up my 2009 Ninja 250R today, it's my first bike so I'm not very knowledgeable about them yet. Before the title/cash trade hands what should I look for?

  • Best motorcycle helmet in both quality and price?

Please tell me which brand (or specific helmet) you think is best for the price and why?

I'm focusing on helmets that offer full facial coverage to wear while riding my Ninja 250. And it would be awesome if it came in plain black and was tinted. Thanks =]

  • How would a fog machine affect my office computers?

We're having a little inter-office decorating competition. Would it be necessary for us to cover the monitors/computers in the room if we set a fog machine up?

  • Wanting to figure out if my answer was right... (math problem)?

$432 is split evenly between A,B, and C, such that 8 times A's share is 12 times B's share which is 6 times C's share. What is A's share?

My boyfriend and I disagree about the correct answer, but the IQ quiz doesn't give it.

  • What's the best way to introduce our new 6 month old cat to our new 2 year old dog?

We got the cat last night and I'm picking the dog up today at 4, when I bring the dog home what's the best way to go about introducing the two - I have no background info to determine whether or not they get along with other animals.

  • Are there any websites/ways to connect with DEPers going to BMT around the same time?

It seems like, especially in myspace groups, a lot of people waiting for basic are trying to connect with other people before they even leave (I'm one of them) but does anyone know of a more helpful way of trying to connect with others like this?

  • Leaving for AFBMT 3Nov09 - Job is going to be Intelligence Operations.?

I'd really like to know more about the job I'm going to have, like what bases I can go to as a level 3 and what Intelligence normally does at those certain bases.

I'd also like to know when I'm going to graduate from Basic (Just want to be sure before family sets up their flights).

And I've just started running, so how would you suggest I prepare to be ready in time?

    Thanks.
