Hey all. I like to play the ukulele. That's my entire free time, pretty much. Also, I ran a poll recently to create a fair music hall of fame. I accidentily violated a rule in posting it to many different cattegories, so the questions are down. All the same, here are the inductees, and next time, I will abide by the rules. The Beatles(12 votes) The Rolling Stones(6) Pink Floyd(8) Nirvana(3) Led Zeppelin(8) Queen(5) Bob Dylan(3) U2(3) Megadeth(3) Elvis(4) Rush(4) Industry changers Rick Rubin(2) Brian Epstein(2) I will run this again (by the rules) next month to induct more.

  • What format does video have to be in on a USB drive to play on a Panasonic Viera?

I have a Panasonic Viera that I am trying to watch a video on. It recognizes that the drive is in, and that the video is on it, but says "cannot read file". It is currently in .mkv format, do I have to convert it? If not, what's going on?

  • What argument can still be made against evolution?

I'm just wondering. I believe in evolution, and was recently discussing it with someone, and she said that she had irrefutable evidence against evolution. I asked what and she said that her proof was "that we know that the grand canyon flooded." I asked her why that prooved it, we know there's a river that made the canyon, so yes, it would have flooded, right? She said it prooved Noah's Ark, which disproved evolution. While I still don't understand this, what is other evidence against the theory of evolution?

  • Why do some people give the "best answer" to a person, but then give it a 1 star review?

I'm not complaining, but I got ten points for disagreeing and angering this guy: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AhRET... . What logic is there in this? Is it just the best of bad answers in their mind?

    Thanks

This is the question most commonly posed. A friend of mine went to Cal some years back, and this was the theology final. There was one correct answer, and one worth 50%. Can you get the final?

  • Who should be in the music hall of fame?

In my opinion, the rock and roll hall of fame is very wrong. Many great artists have been left out for no apparent reason. So, hear by, I found my own. This will be a public opinion hall. So you guys need to vote. A ballot can have no more than five (5) artists. A ballot may include no more than one (1) "Industry Changer" - a non-musician candidate. To qualify, an artist must be at least 20 years past the release of their first LP. No classical music, this is a rock and pop hall (rap and country are included in this hall, though) I will add who is in and how many votes are necessary to enter once I see how popular this gets. I will have one of these every month, so keep coming back!

Sample ballot (And my own, I get the same vote as you):

    The Beatles

    Pink Floyd

    Queen

    The Rolling Stones

    The Who

    Industry Changer

    Brian Epstein

    Enjoy!

    This will be the last day of voting in a three day event. The votes, as they currently stand, are shown below;

    The Beatles IIIIIIIIIII

    Rolling Stone IIIIII

    Pink Floyd IIIIIII

    Nirvana III

Feel free to vote for any of these or nominate your own! At this point, I think it will take 3 votes in the performer category to qualify, and 2 for a non-perfomer, but this may change based on today's number of votes.

2 new things - This will be a three day voting event. Tomorrow (Sunday), I will ask this again. If you vote twice, only one vote will be counted. Hopefully I can get enough votes to do this. Right now, I don't know how many votes it takes to get in. I'm getting a WIDE variety of answers, from classic rock to death metal to ambient. This is going to be tough.
