11 AnswersToddler & Preschooler9 years agoIs this normal behavior for a one year old?
My son just turned one and I don't have much experience being around kids at this age. When he is focused on something and then is taken away from that thing he will throw a fit until redirected. I just want a little comfort that this is normal at this age. I do worry about autism because of family history in mine and my husbands family.
4 AnswersToddler & Preschooler9 years agoMaking a chocolate cake with cookiedough inside.?
My husbands birthday is coming up and I've made him a cake every year since we've know each other. This year I was wanting to make the traditional chocolate cake (his favorite) but had cookie dough as a mix in. I've been looking for recipes and can only find cookie dough cake. Does anyone know the best way to go about making this, or have a recipe?

The mother is a painter and is in prison for killing her boyfriend and her daughter bounces from foster home to foster home discovering who she really is now that she no longer lives under her moms oppressive reign.
I've seen it a handful of times and cannot remember the name. I know it had something to with a specific flower as well.
1 AnswerMovies9 years agoFinding out how a court trial is going?
I have a friend who is in jail for a terrible accident (manslaughter). I am far away from home so the only way I was able to keep up with the trial was via a mutal friend. Well that mutal friend just went off for boot camp and I cannot get ahold of him. Is there anyway I can find out how the days proceedings went for my friend? This is in California if that helps.
(I posted this in two sections in hopes of find the answer. This is a 100% serious question)

1 AnswerLaw & Ethics9 years agoIs this considered sitting up unassisted?
My son will be 7 months old on Sunday, and he is very active. He is crawling, and already started to pull him self up on stuff. When he is focused or in his highchair he has no problem sitting up, but most of the time when I try to play with him in the sitting position he will grab the toy and fall over on his side or stomach. Can it be considered that he is sitting unassisted?
5 AnswersNewborn & Baby10 years agoDoes this statement upset you as well?
One of my ex-boyfriends and his wife just lost their two month old daughter. All of the condolences on their facebooks say about the same in one form or another. But what upsets me is the statment I see repeated, "God needed another angel in heaven". Am I alone in getting angered over this? In a sense these people are saying that God took their daughters life, but left them to suffer.
How do you religious and non-religious types feel about this statment?
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoBasic guidelines for solids ?
I wondering what the basic guidelines are for solids. I know that you introduce one food at a time to look for allergies. But when do you start upping meals, and what do you do for foods that could have caused a possible allergic reaction?
My son is 6 months and from about 51/2 months I've been giving him baby food. So far so good, but with apples he gets a weird rash on his eyebrow that goes away after a couple hours.
4 AnswersNewborn & Baby10 years agoEveryone has to hear about "God" in order for him to return?
Let's pretend for a moment Jesus is real and he will be coming back for his faithful followers. I keep reading, from Christians, on here that everyone has to hear about "God" for him to return. You do realize that is an utterly impossible, never ending task correct.
So if that's true, you yourselves have proved he won't be returning.
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoHow do we know that "Jesus" wasnt just an Illusionist ahead of his time?
Chris Angel walked on water, scaled a building, ect but you arnt bowing to your knees for him. You simply say "its all fake".

How does the above statment make you feel?
Spirituality speaking.
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoCan the hospital keep a newborn from her parents?
My friends just had a baby tonight and they were telling me the mother hasn't even gotten to hold her yet. She had a c-section, but that was hours ago. The hospital staff will not give a clear answer as to why the baby cannot be with them. According to the doctor the baby is healthy, so the parents and my self don't understand what the issue is. Is this legal?
Yes, the parents have been asking to have her with them, and the staff is not lisitening. This is in California, specifically Los Angles.
Thank you for your help!

2 AnswersMovies10 years agoSerious question for Jehovah's Witnessess please read?
I am in need of advice on how to handle the two "sisters" that have been coming to my door. Here's the back story. I moved two hours from home and only know a handful of my husbands close friends in his former hall. He is DFed. Well these two women came to our door once asking for me by name. The apartment complex we live in does not allow them to go door to door. They know he is DFed, so we already have an issue. The other issue is that when they come they will wait outside our door for 20-30 minutes before giving up. They leave the magizines, which end up in the trash. Being raised in the truth I do feel bad doing this, because I'm not gonna read them and I don't need them. But someone out there might, its also a waste of an innocent tree.
So my question is how should I go about this? My husband won't let me answer the door cause I don't hold my tounge. Should I call the hall and inform them, go to our apartment manager, or something else.
Thank you for all serious answers.
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years ago8 week olds sleeping habits, is this normal?
Last night my son fell asleep at 1am and slept till 5am, he ate and fell right back to sleep. He slept till 9am, ate and then 'played' with his dad till about 11am. He slept till about 1pm, ate and has been asleep since. He did have a 'dream feed' at around 3:30. I'm not complaining, just wondering if this is normal? Also the past few nights he's been sleeping about four-five hours stright.
At his last appoiment he weighted close to 9lbs and is very much head on weight gain per his doctor. He is breastfed exclusivly. I'm a first time mom, and I know that not all kids are the same, hence why I don't trust textbooks.
5 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade ago6 week old wide awake at 2am?
He is fed, clean, and burped. I cannot swaddle him as he freaks out when his arms are confined. If I turn off the light he begins screaming, he is actually just staring at it. Any advice to get him to sleep?
