  • why african american?

why is it socially acceptable to refer to black people as 'african american' when the majority have no ties socially to africa or african culture? it seems to me that it is just a stupid over glorification of someone trying to not sound prejudice , what is wrong with describing someone as black? My family 200 years ago moved to america from norway, should I demand that all official documents have a check box representing that, no that would be stupid.

  • why does god seem so evil?

Finding it harder and harder to believe

Being that god is all knowing, he has to know every event that will take place in your life before he even creates you, this includes whether you will in the end accept or reject him. So when he does create you he must be instilling those destinies into you, since he can’t just create you and find out later what it is you will do with your life. He can’t outsource creation of people to an angel which could give them their destiny of eternal damnation for him. He can’t just throw it up in the air and say, surprise me, he has to set and know the fate of every person himself, before they are even born. There cannot be any ambiguity in gods creation, its either god has to say or it won’t be. God has to decide the sentence himself, before a person can even make a choice warranting that sentence, which is giving that person destiny. This means god is knowingly creating people with the sentence of damnation, also meaning your choice is dependent, inevitably that choice will be what destiny god gave to you as he was making you, also meaning that there isn’t free will to choose or not choose god.

It seems to me that for free will to work god could not know your future allowing him to pass judgment on the actions in your life when you die, not pass judgment on you while being created, but god that cannot see the future seems not to be a god at all.

  • Question for chrisians ?

Follow up to question about free will

From what I understand most people agree that god does know what your choice will be whether accepting or rejecting him. I still got answers like this:

He gave you free will, knowing what you would choose. So, its still your choice to reject the Gospel, so don't blame God.

it was your free will to reject him. its your free will to sin.

He knew but gave you the option to chose heaven or hell.

What I don’t understand is why no one is seeing that if god knows whether I will be accepting or rejecting him on my death bed before he even creates me then it must be pre determined, thus meaning god is creating me to reject him and creating me to go to hell?

In other words god knows the choice you will end up with at the end of your life, but creates you anyway, to go to hell?

  • christians please help me understand?

If god knows all, then he must have known i would reject him when he created me

for god to be god it seems that he must know the end result of every persons life when he is creating them, whether they will accept or reject him.

how is there free will, it seems more like life is predestined?

    am i just crazy

  • God is so amazing, how could there be atheist?

The all knowing, omnipotent, boundlessly loving, ‘god.’

Why would ‘god’ create man knowing that his creation would choose to reject ‘her.’

Why would ‘god’ create an ‘angel’ knowing that it would turn on ‘her,’ and then banish it from ‘heaven,’ establishing it as everything that is ‘evil.’

On top of that Why then would ‘god’ send every man that rejects ‘her’ to spend all of eternity in the realm of this ‘evil angel.’

Why would a ‘god’ with the mentioned qualities create a man specifically to spend eternity in hell?

    Egotism, Vengefulness, Shallow, Evil

I use the word god in quotations and not capitalized because it is an idea, fathomed by man.

I refer to god as ‘her’ and not him because it provides a soothing mother like persona which is what a loving god should be.
