  • To those in the auto lending field?

My Equifax is 774, TransUnion is 764 and Experian is 696. I have 2 secured Credit Cards for a total of $1200 in credit, two collection agency hits for $200 each that I paid off 2 years ago and an old auto loan I paid off in 2008 that shows 17 30 day late, 1 60 day late and 3 120 day late.

What are my chances of getting an auto loan with a decent interest rate?? (Credit Union Member) Would it help to get my credit car limits raised first? My annual salary is $31K.

Hoping to purchase a 30K truck by July

  • CCW Handgun recommendation?

I will be looking soon for a new handgun for carry purposes. It will be a .40S&W and must have these qualities: Mag capacity of at least 10 rounds, decock lever, exposed hammer & DA/SA.

And before the GLOCK crowd goes off, I own a G20 and I love it, but these specs are what I want for a carry arm, so please keep your recommendations within these parameters.

Last two things: I am a chubby guy and would like something that would be comfortable to wear on my side and I would like to keep it semi-affordable (under 600 bucks, if possible). I have been looking at the FNP-40.

Thanks in advance for your input.

  • This is for Tikka T3 owners?

Gonna be ordering my Tikka T3 soon in .25-06 and am wondering if I should get the Wood Stocked hunter version or the Composite Stock Lite? These are supposed to be real tack drivers out of the box. Is there any advantage to using the wooden stock hunter for accuracy or is it all a matter of aesthetics?

All suggestions for other Make of weapons (yes, I am talking to you Remington owners) will be ignored....

  • Looking for handgun recommendations for plinking?

I am looking for a semi-auto handgun primarily used for target shooting. I want it to have more power than a 22LR yet still be economical to shoot. I looked at the High Standard AMT 22 WMR, but it is not legal for sale in Maryland. I am also looking at the Tokarev in 7.62x25.

    Any other suggestions?

  • Foul ball accelerates?

I am told that if a pitcher throws a ball to home plate at 90mph and the batter takes a swing and fouls it straight back, the ball will actually ACCELERATE to 120MPH...how is this possible???

  • Head Unit suggestions?

I have a 99 Ford Ranger and need a head unit. Here are my requirements/needs/wants: Must be Sirius capable as I am getting a Sirius receiver. It must also have multi-line readout. My last head unit would show the ID3 info on one line and a clock on the bottom line. I need it to have a visible clock that is of a decent readable size. I am also interested in one that has USB for thumb drives. I do not have an iPod, but I might have to get a small one as it seems they all work for iPods and not my Creative Zen. Built in bluetooth would be a nice addition, but not necessary.

I have been looking primarily at DVD units (JVC KD-AVX2 & KD-AVX33, Kenwood DDX-512, Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD). I am trying to stay sub $400 and NO more than $450.

Any suggestions, reviews of units I mentioned?

  • Does Wild Turkey 101 spoil?

A co-worker just found an unplugged chest freezer in his recently deceased mom's basement FULL of unopened whiskey containers (bottles and tins like you would find at Christmas time). The most prevalent are the Wild Turkey 101 (8yr old) ceramic decanters that, according to research. dates back to 1977 & 1978. There are also some Dewars bottles that date to the early 80's and a few others I have not picked up yet.

Are these still good or will they have run the chance of spoiling?
