I thought it was amazing that she was due today and got up on stage and performed and danced around. I'm due in less than two weeks and I don't have the energy to do anything like that!!

What did all of you who are farther along in your pregnancy think of that?

Okay ladies I know this question is going to sound crazy and I'm going to try to explain it so it makes sense. I'm 37 weeks, 2 cm dilated and 50 % effaced and have been having what I think are braxton hicks contractions. (this is my second pregnancy, but it's been 6 years so I don't remember much about the bh from the first).

Anyways I get this weird feeling in my stomach and chest like when you've been swimming in chlorinated water for a long time and you take a deep breath. Does this make sense at all? I don't know how else to explain it.

I'm just curious if any of you are vegetarian or vegan and are pregnant or nursing?

I'm 32 weeks pregnant and a vegetarian, but I also don't drink milk or eat eggs and I won't while I nurse either. Are any of you like that? If you are, are you planning on raising your child that way too?

I've posted before about watching my nieces and nephew who don't come from the best home. The 4 year old who is fully potty trained and about to turn 5 still has accidents. She will sit on the floor and just pee and then sit in it and when you ask her why she looks at you like you're the idiot. She's peed on my carpet 5 times and in my car once. I make her go to the bathroom regularly and have told her to go whenever she needs to yet we're still having problems. I've done research on the subject and a lot of doctors say that kids get so wrapped up in what they're doing that they ignore the fact they have to pee. I've noticed this only happens when she has been at her mom's house. She had been doing so well without having any accidents and behaving well for the past few weeks and she went to her mom's all week and is back to spitting, kicking, screaming and now peeing on my carpet again. What do you guys think?

We just moved to Illinois ( near St Louis) from California and I'm having a hard time finding insurance. I was on medi-cal in California due to pregnancy being a "pre existing" condition and my husband's insurance wouldn't do anything about it. I keep getting the run around when I call the state insurance out here. I'm just wondering if any of you live out here or have any good information on where I can go or what insurance I can get on for cheap. I'm almost 29 weeks and I need to get into the doctor ASAP! Any information would be extremely helpful!

This might be long so I apologize, but I truly need some honest opinions out there.

I just moved 1800 miles from home and I baby sit 3 children 6 days a week. The oldest is 7 and was born at 25 wks which I'm sure a lot of you know it's a miracle she lived! At 9 months she had seizures and was diagnosed with shaken baby syndrome. The mother blamed the dad for dropping her once in her car seat so he took the blame and said it was his fault. Dropping a baby in a car seat one time...is that really going to cause shaken baby syndrome?

Now the mom only comes around once a week if that to see the kids. She ignores them, bums money off the dad, tries to fight with him and shows up at random times and sleeps instead of watching them. The 4 year old is constantly wetting herself after being around her mom. I'm not talking wetting the bed, I'm talking straight out peeing on herself on the floor while watching a movie. The 22 month old is constantly biting his sisters, throwing toys, screaming, hitting and trying to draw on walls. The younger two have serious behavior problems and they only occur when they have seen or been around their mom. The 22 month old has had severe diaper rash a few times, some weird bruises. The mom traded in a Tahoe for a 2 seater Corvette and I have seen her drive the 4 yr old around in it without a car seat, bring her home with someone else in the car as well so you know they weren't wearing seat belts, she took all three kids out to lunch in it the other day when she decided to watch them.

After all this the mom had the nerve to call me a fat lazy b**** and says I NEGLECT HER KIDS and that it's my fault her son had diaper rash. (Mind you I'm 26 wks pregnant and have a son of my own, I'm watching my brother in laws kids out of the kindness of my heart)

I just think she might be doing something to the kids when she has them or someone in her family is. The little ones have broken bones already from not being watched.

What would you do? How would you go about the situation? Would you call and try to make a report?

They want cops to be able to arrest, on the spot, anyone who's pants are sagging. If briefs or boxers are seen or any skin while pants are worn below the waist then cops can arrest them and take them to jail. What do you think of that?

I saw this question posted a little while ago and I'm just wondering why do certain people have to bring God into the equation? Some of the answers I read were ridiculous. Why does every answer having to do with children, sex, parenting have to do with God? I have my beliefs, but I don't go around telling people they are being judged for their sins and what not.

I'm sorry. I just wanted to know what you guys think? Why do people answer questions that way?

I'm just curious to get the opinion of other women on here. How do you feel about McCain/Palin? How do you feel about them wanting to reverse Roe vs. Wade? How do you feel about her not agreeing with victims of rape or incest being allowed to have an abortion? Or the fact that conservative Republicans like the two of them want to get rid of sex education and birth control. I know it's just opinions, but I'd like to hear all of yours.

This might seem like an odd question, but when my son has M&M's or fruity pebbles, both which contain dye red 40 among others, he is out of control. We thought it was sugar, but other candy and sugar type products don't bother him at all. I think he is sensitive to red dye and it's been proven to cause hyperactivity in kids. I was just wondering if any of you have had this problem?

I still have a few more months until I'll be signing any birth certificates, but we can't decide on a middle name or come up with anymore. We're having a girl and we're naming her Grady. Please don't knock the fact that it's more of a boy's name. We love it for boy or girl and that's going to be her name. I wanted Peyton for a middle name, but my husband doesn't like it. Any suggestions??

I have stumbled upon a few question and answers today about spanking and everyone seems very torn on this subject. I want to know why you are for or against spanking your children and what your opinions on it are. If you don't have children I don't think you can accurately answer this question.
