I remember watching a old black and white cartoon when I was little it had this boy and girl who were poor looking in the window of a bakery the baker sees them and comes out loaded with goodies for them but they left he finds where they live and brings all these gifts and food and stuff and they wake up and are just rubbing their eyes

I have been told that using the energy saver on my window unit will cause the compressor to burn out quicker because its kicking off and on constantly this makes no sense to me because the compressor kicks of and on when it is set to cool and the fan is the what stays on plus it seems to me that running the fan 24hrs a day in hot weather would be harder on the ac I have also been told that the energy saver wont cool the room as good as the cool setting will , this makes no sense because the only thing that runs constantly is the fan and energy saver seemes to work just fine to me. the person telling me this SWEARS that using the energy saver mode caused their window unit to burn up after a year I think either they had a bad unit to start with or something else caused it to mess up any Ideas?

in this movie a woman finds a crate,box or barrel and when she opens it there is what looks like the mummified body of a child a boy but the boy comes to life I am not sure how the woman finds or gets the box or whatever but I THINK the box is mistakenly delivered to her some how I think the movie came out sometime in the 80s don't know if it was a made for tv movie or one from the theater thanks!

are those no touch soap dispensers really necessary? I mean with regular pump soap dispensers any germs you get from it are washed right off it seems like the media has turned the country into germophobes with swabbing everything and saying oh my god look germs everywhere protect your self! just seems like its a waste of money to me yes you need to wash your hands and take basic precautions but it seems like people are going overboard there are germs everywhere and there have been but most of us and our parents survived just fine without them

my son is in the fifth grade. In his music class they are learning to play recorders and have a concert later this month but if they DO NOT attend this concert to play they go down one letter grade I feel that since this is in the evening that it is an extra curricular activity and attendance should NOT affect their grade I don't know If they have had trouble with too many kids not showing up or what

I read this story when I was a kid about a woman who was told to take care of this egg there was a room that she was never suppose to go into but she does and drops the egg in fright the egg has a mark on it from being dropped and when her husband gets home he locks her in the room an marries someone else only this woman locks the egg up and checks out the room . that's all I can remember does anyone know the name of this story?

do the LD classes today teach students to work With their difficulties, or just dumb down their work?when I was in school I was in LD classes. They didn't really help me just made me feel stupid. that was over 17 years ago and I still struggle with this feeling now my son is having the same trouble I was and they want to test him for LD he reads on a 9th grade level in the fourth grade and has A's and B's in all classes except for math we are working with him trying to help him catch up on math hes like only on a 3rd grade level. so are classes better now or still just the same? please help

I am looking for any information on the jazz singer denise lorraine.my dad liked her music and named my sister after her. we were wanting hear some of her music, but I have been unable to find any info on her. her music would have been out either around the early to mid 60's or earlier. if anyone has the names of her albums/songs we would appreciate it!

this past weekend my sisters car was broken into in our drive way for the second time in like two months her car was locked both times and both times the only thing taken was some change. when I called the police they asked for her tag number and after the officer got here and found out that just change was taken and she didn't want to make a report they said that they would add more patrols in our area ( we live within site of the police department and they said that the last time) the officer then asked for ID witch neither of us had on us since we were just in the driveway so the officer asked for our names and birth dates first middle and last and then ran both our names for warrants 44's why would they run OUR info plus my sisters tag when WE were the ones calling in a complaint? we just wanted then to know about the break in both times several other cars were also hit in the neighborhood my sister has been here helping out for the past couple months and lives in a different town but I don't see why that should make any difference

I have already asked this but, I am looking for a movie that came out in the 90s ( I think) not sure if it was a made for tv movie or not this man is searching for his ex wife who has taken his two daughters and ran in one part he has to view the bodies of what maybe his ex and daughters thankfully it turns out NOT to be them I remember whoever the bodies were they were caught in a flash flood in the desert they finally track down his ex and his daughters in a apartment or motel room and the girls are hiding in the shower with their clothes on the ex may have told them their dad was a witch he finally sees the girls and he tells one of them "I see you are still sucking your thumb" she looks at him takes the thumb out of her mouth and tells him " I see you are still smoking those cigars" he throws it away. I thought the actor was jeff goldblum but not sure if it was or not
