  • temperature of curling iron?

what temperature should my curling iron be in degrees celsius? Mine goes from 120 -210 degrees celsius, but I'm not sure what's a good temperature. My hair doesn't hold curl at all, so lower temperatures really don't work, but I'm thinking heating my hair at 200 degrees celsius probably isn't the best thing either? Not sure :/

  • Old romantic french songs/tunes?

Does anyone know of any really nice old french songs?

You know the kind the play in films while they show the eiffel tower, or rowing a boat down the river? haha yeah that kind of romantic song. It can even be a tune.

I always hear them in movies, but I don't know any of their song titles.

  • My parents prefer my older brother to me?

I'm a girl and I have an elder brother. I know my parents love us equally, but sometimes I get the feeling that they prefer him?

I guess my parents appreciate the fact that I can wake up on my own in the mornings, whereas my brother needs to be pulled out of bed. And I don't take a million years to get ready.

But my brother always seems to be the super clever, funny and witty one. And I'm the normal kid who isn't really that special. I really do look up to my brother a lot and I admire him like crazy. But of late, I've realised that with my brother around, my parents are always laughing and joking and talking a lot more than when they're with me. They're just so happy.

And sometimes I watch from a distance and feel kinda sad.

Is it normal to feel this way? Or am I having jealousy issues of some kind.

  • How to whiten underarms?

I dance everyday, so I need my underarms to look clean all the time. But they're not!

I thought at first it was the roots of the hair showing, but I realised that it was partly because the skin was darker too. I tried exfoliating, but it doesn't really seem to be helping ):

  • How to say 'Happy Teacher's Day' in French/Russian?

I want to write 'Happy Teacher's Day' in French and Russian on a card. So if you're a native speaker, or you learn the languages, could you please tell me? Thanks!

The online translators are giving me different translations, so it would be great if someone who speaks the language could tell me (:

    Thank you!

  • Is 15 too young for makeup?

Hi :) So I turn 15 this May, and I've been wearing a small amount of makeup since the end of last year. Makeup meaning clear lipgloss, blush and curling my lashes. I like the way I look with it, because I honestly think it makes me look more awake, and brighter, and essentially, prettier :D Haha and I just like the process of wearing it, I don't know, It's just fun, you know? But none of my friends wear it, except for the really like, vain ones, who wear shorts and tube tops all the time. I wouldn't consider myself vain, hehe, yeah I'm not allowed to wear anything that bares my shoulders or is above mid thigh, and I would feel uncomfortable anyway, so yup, I've no complaints against those rules. But, I'm just wondering, to adults and parents, what would you think if you noticed a 15 year old wearing the amount of makeup that I specified? Do you think she was trying to look older? Because I don't want people to think that! Yeah and I'm having this internal conflict, haha because I really don't know if I should wear it. I only wear it on weekends by the way. Ahhh I don't know, I don't want to come off as slutty or a bimbo or something. Should I just wait a year or two more. But I think the waiting would kill me, heh.

No mean comments please, just constructive criticism and advice :) Thanks

  • Why do people have this stereotype about asian eyes?

Just wondering, do any of you think that if an asian has double eyelids, that means that she's either part asian or had surgery done? It's annoying me (dumb, I know) but still, i see so many people on the web saying that if an asian has double eyelids, then she's part asian or she went for surgery. Like HELLOO, take for example me, I'm pure Chinese and i have really prominent double eyelids, and so does half my class (and we're all asians)! But yeah, no offence, I'm not targeting caucasians, but usually they seem to fit asians into the asian eyes category. WHYWHYWHY. Is it influence from the media or do they really have the weird perception that asians must have monolids (and really small eyes, which is the dumbest thing i've heard)

I understand if they talk abt the crease, which almost 100% of Chinese don't have

and, most of them think that Asians only include like Chinese and Japanese and Koreans. Indians are Asians too!! Argghhhhhhh. Sorry, I just needed to vent my frustration xD

And the worst thing is, my friend went to the US for some exchange programme, and I'm from Singapore by the way, and they asked her if we rowed boats to school. WHATTT. THAT'S THE STUPIDEST THING EVER. it's ludicrous. seriously. I felt like killing myself when my friend told me that. Anddd they thought Singapore was in China. Seriously, have they never heard of us.

  • Does straightening/curling your hair damage it?

So my mum won't allow me to get a hair staightener/curler because she says it will dry and damage my hair :( So for all those who have used hair straightener/curler, does it really damage your hair? I'm not going to use it daily, just once a week, like for church or something

  • Help with makeup and mum?

I'm turning 15 this may, and my mum allows me to wear some makeup when i go out. Like a bit of blush, curl my lashes and clear lip gloss. But the problem is, I've been using her makeup all this time. And I'm not allowed to go out on my own, so the only opportunity i have to buy makeup, is when i go out with my mum. But she insists that MAC and like Bobbi Brown or wtv, those makeup brands with makeup counters are too expensive or smth. So I don't mind buying makeup at the drugstore. BUT my mum never seems to notice that i want to buy makeup, even though i keep asking her. And i really cant bug her abt it, bcos once, when i was talking abt smth to do with makeup, she asked me why i was becoming so vain. And if she thinks im becoming a bimbo or smth, she probably wont be that happy abt me wearing makeup. So, do you have any suggestions on asking my mum abt buying makeup in a way which wouldnt make me sound like im really materialistic and vain? I really just want to have a little of my own makeupp.

  • Would this hairstyle look nice?

I was thinking of wearing a thin black hair band to push my fringe back, then I tie a messy bun, so that way, all my hair is up. Do you think that looks nice, for like casual, or do you think it looks more like busy housewife? My hair's kinda medium length, so the bun will be quite messy. Im 14, btw and my hair's black,if that helps

  • Does this happen to your hair?? help?

I've parted my hair on the right for quite some time, so i switched to the other side this year, but i find that my hair just doesnt look nice, when it's parted on the left. It keeps falling on my face. So yeah, anyway, i switched back to the right, but the problem is, i find that when i part my hair on the right, it kinda creates a bald spot there, not really bald, but like less hair. Does this happen to you? Cos its really bothering me! When i tie my hair or pin up my fringe, you can tell that the right side of my hair line has less hair! I really dont want this to get worse, so can anyone tell me if its normal? I suppose i'll have to switch parting soon, even though my hair really just doesnt fall nicely on the left. And any solutions to this weird hair loss thing, besides having to change my parting.

I have kinda medium thickness of hair, not too fine and not too thick. My hair's a bit wavy, kinda depends on whether its a good hair day or a bad hair day. If its a good day, its straight. And I'm asian (chinese)

  • Is a 32B much bigger than a 30A?

here was a bra sale and the smallest size was 32B. I think i'm 30A, cos i measured myself but I ended buying 32B because it was cheap, and I figured I would grow into it anyway, cos I'm only 14, and still developing. But is 32B much bigger than 30A? And is it unhealthy or anything to get a bra bigger? Cos this is my first cup bra, and I havent tried a 30A before.
