When loading the repair, I keeping getting the message that I'm missing (a ton of) .dl_ files. I just want to get in to get my files and then do a reinstall. Will these .dl_ files prevent me from doing that if skip them?

I'm looking everywhere online for a solution to this and can't get a straight answers, just boot cd suggestions. I fear my laptop has some sort of virus in the boot sector and I want to recover my files before reinstalling. I can't even start in safe mode.
