  • how painfull is gastritis?

I went to the ER yesterday and they told me I had gastritis. I was in such pain, I couldn't lay down, it hurt to sit, no matter what I did, I couldn't get comfortable. My question is does it really hurt that bad, or am I just being a big baby? I still hurt today, but not as bad.

  • if you or anyone you know is schizoprenic..

This is a new diagnosis for my husband, he's coming home this weekend after being in the hospital for over a month, I'm excited but scared at the same time. He says he has been convinced that he needs to take his meds now, I'm scared that he has coned us all. He has stated that the last thing he wants is to end up in the hospital again. What if any are the odds of him not doing what he needs to do? This hospital is a good ways from where we live, they have set him up with an outpatient program who will pay for his meds, they are even sending him home with a few weeks supply. I am excited about bringing him home, I just don't know if my expectations are too high. I am hoping that he will be the way he used to be when we married 10 years ago. I am fine that he can't work (he's having a hard time with that) What can I expect from him? You can read my past questions to find out about meds. thanks for letting me vent. I strive for perfection and want everything to be ok for him.

  • working with mental illness

my husband has been in a hospital for about a month now, he will be able to come home next weekend. they have him on 300 Mg's of zoloft, zyprexia, haldol, cogentin and one other thing I don't recall. The docs and myself feel like he will not be able to work that it wouldn't be in his best interest. At first they thought he was depressed with psychosis, now they have determined that he's schizophrenic(paranoid). My question is, do any of you with similar problems work full time jobs while taking butt loads of meds?? All he talks about is getting a job when he gets home, we remind him that we are going to get him on SSI, he says ok, then the next day he's talking about work. He's worried about our bills and I'm worried about him. any insight would be help full.

  • what is the diffrence between these two illnesses?

My husband is currently in the hospital, they say he has depression with psychosis. It appears to me that he's paranoid , bi polar. He thinks people want to kill him, he has heard clicking noises like a gun. I'm not a Dr. but I want the right things being done for him. How can depression equal psychosis?

  • have any of you been committed by...?

a loved one thru the courts?? When you were able to come home did you hate them or thank them for helping you? My husband has been commited to a state hospital, are they like they are in the movies or are they nice clean places like a nursing home? I am having second thought of doing this to him. I really love him, I want my old husband back. The psychiatrist said I did the right thing, he's depressed, psychotic, and hears God talking to him. Let me know your thoughts.

  • Stressed out 9 year old?

My daughter is in the 3rd grade and is already asking to drop out of school, they are going over principles of algerbra. Last year she tested out of special education and now they say she's not eligiable for those services. They won't retest her. I am very worried about her level of stress. I tell her to do her best and thats all anyone can ask for, I tell her I love her and she says that I shouldn't love her cause she's stupid. Of course I reassure her that she isn't, and I'l always love her. What should I do??

  • general diabetic question?

I have yet to get my diabeties under controll, I nned to know why it is that if my sugar gets below 150 I feel horrible? I feel shakey and sleepy, my sugar runs around 288, 229. I have started walking 3 miles a day, is this enough excersise? I have 6 weeks to get it under controll, or it will be insulin for me. I don't eat sweets, heck I really don't eat alot of anything. Any help would be good.
