Does anybody use horse nutritionalists or naturopaths for your horses diet?

I live in Aus and am looking at studying these courses.

I have a 3 year old Blue Heeler (Australian cattle dog). He gets fed Pedigree adult dry food http://www.pedigree.com.au/products/ we also give him raw bones about 2-3 times a week.

I don't like having him on commerical food all the time. Do you cook food for your dog or give them raw meat as well?

We have a shaw creeping vigna vine growing. Can I pull some off it and replant the root? Will this work?

Also what other plants would you plant to suppliment calcium? I've read about clover or rhodes grass. I am in Northern NSW

I have been soaking with Epsom salts and making a poultice and wrapping with nappy and duct tape but nothing. Farrier thinks it's in the hoof cuz he couldn't find it with hoof testers. She's very sore!!! Been over a week
