I'm going on a trip to Rome and Greece in 8 days with my school (I am BEYOND excited! :D :D :D). It was recommended that I purchase 60 euros for when we get off of the plane (I did this, and I already have the euros in hand), but I was wondering what the process will be for buying euros once I actually arrive in Rome. I have an American Express credit card that I will be taking with me. Are there places that will allow me to purchase Euros with my card outside of the airport? I feel like this is a bit of a silly question, but I just want to make sure. :)

This is my first time traveling outside of the US, so any insight/tips would be greatly appreciated!!!

I'm going to Greece and Rome this summer for a school trip, and I have a question about air-travel and souvenirs. :)

For a souvenir, I was going to bring home a small bottle with some water or sand from the Aegean Sea. I was wondering if that would be a problem at airport security? I know it seems a bit silly, but I really want to take a 'piece' of the ocean back with me :D

Also, do any of you have some other ideas for funky souvenirs from Greece/Italy? I would love to hear them! :D :D :D

I'm already going to try to get some chocolates and candies, some handmade jewelry, lip balm/lotions/makeup, socks, stamps/coins/etc, a nice tank top or shirt, magazines, and menus. I want to try and steer clear of the cheesy souvenirs and get something that I will actually use or enjoy looking at for years to come. I'm also on a fairly tight budget (and I won't have much room in my suitcases), so I'd like to keep things simple. C:

I won't be taking my laptop with me (normally I would just store my pictures on that), and I was wondering if there was a convenient, inexpensive way to store my pictures? I plan on taking A LOT, and I would hate it if I ran out of memory.

Right now, I'm considering just buying a lot of memory cards to take over with me, but that can get pretty pricey and inconvenient. Is there a kind of inexpensive, mass-storage device that I could use to put my pictures on from my camera? Or maybe some kind of online database that I could easily store them on? It would be really nice to get some opinions from people who have traveled abroad before (It's my first time out of the country, or even on a plane for that matter!). :D

I'm going to Wildwood NJ with my cousin in about a week, and we plan to spend a lot of time on the boardwalk. My cousin has been there before and said that most of the things on the boardwalk are pretty pricey. I was just wondering if anyone on Y!A has been to this boardwalk before and knows of any inexpensive shops or activities (rides, games, etc.) on the boardwalk. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :D

I'm taking a trip to Wildwood with my cousin and my parents in about a week. I'm really excited about it, and one of the things I would like to know is if there are any set hours for the beaches. I've been to many different websites and none of them say anything about what time the beach closes, or if they enforce a closing time at all. My cousin and I were wondering because we wanted to go down to the beach and look for seashells late at night (before anyone else gets to them ;D). If anyone who has been to Wildwood before could tell us, that would be great!

I like the screaming vocals, but I really don't like most 'screamo' music (I know that doesn't make a lot of sense, but I don't think that ALL bands that have screaming vocals should be classified as 'screamo').

I've heard this type of music described as post-hardcore? I don't know why, but I've found it difficult to find bands like these... I'd really appreciate it if you could help me out! :D

I just recently started watching this show, and I really like it. I was wondering which season is airing right now so I could catch up on the others and try to watch it from the beginning. If it helps, here are the basic outlines of the two episodes that were just aired on Wednesday night:

First: The Unit is sent to Brazil to buy stinger missiles from a South American arms dealer (there is a lot of child labor there and one of the children asks Jonas to take him back to the US with him, but he can't).

Second: Bob tries to protect the Secretary of State on an unannounced visit to a fledgling democracy in Africa, but runs into trouble with potential assassins. Molly gets scammed when she tries to help a woman with a real estate deal; Kim finds herself in trouble at the radio station when a caller pays her a visit.

I just bought a 4GB MicroSD card for my mp3 player. When I inserted it into my mp3 player, it started freezing up, and now it doesn't go past the main menu. I took the card out and it's still acting wierd. I would really appreciate it if someone could help!! I've had this mp3 player for a while, and it's like my baby :)

This year, I would like to try out for varsity level winterguard at my school... could anybody give me some tips on what I should know? Are there any specific tosses that I should master before trying out? Tips for my audition? I know it's pretty far off (the season doesn't start until January, lol)... but I'd like to start preparing myself now. Guard is something that I'm really serious about, and I would like to get better :) Any tips would be greatly appreciated!!!

I'm looking for a new laptop to buy, and I REALLY don't want Vista (I hear its a complete pain in the butt). The Dell Laptop that I want comes with Vista already, is there any way I could buy one with XP on it instead? If so, will it cost extra?

I'm getting over laryngitis, and I've been using a lot of cough drops that contain menthol to soothe my throat (plus, I actually thought they were GOOD for singers, heh...heh...). Anywhoo... my friend was telling me something she heard about the menthol in cough drops being damaging to a singer's voice. Is this true, and if so, is it damaging enough that I should stop using cough drops with menthol? Could anybody reccomend some non-menthol cough drops that work well? :) I know this is a bit long-winded (and I probably sound like a COMPLETE hypocondreact), but I'd really appreciate it if my fellow Yahoo Answers contributers could help :).

Usually, in the morning I just straighten it and put a little hair paste in to give it some texture, but I'd like to try something new.

My hair type is very... difficult. Its not wavy enough to be 'wavy' and not straight enough to be 'straight' and its really hard to manage (thats why I usually straighten it :D). << in case you wanted to know my hair type :)

I was wondering if any of my fellow Y!A users had any ideas? Don't worry if they're a bit wacky. My friends are used to me coming to school looking like a freak-show, so its all good :) I'd just like to mix it up a little bit with my hair.

I heard this song playing in a Zumiez store (not that it matters what store it was in, just a little background info). It was kind of alternative/reggae-ish. The only part I can remember is a line in the song about someone becoming a prostitute to pay for their flute lessons, but that nobody would hire them, so they gave up their dreams of being a concert floutist. That wasn't what the whole song was about, but that line kind of stuck in my mind :). I fell in love with the song (it was hilarious!!!) and I was really hoping that someone could help me? Sorry the info is kind of vague (I couldn't remember the exact words and I didn't really want to look up 'flute prostitute' on google, lol!!).

I've bought countless pairs of ear-buds (not cheap one's either, like between 15-20 dollars) and after a couple of weeks, they stop working. Shouldn't they last longer? Does anybody else have this problem?? If so, could you give me some suggestions (or maybe tell me if I'm doing something wrong)? Id really appreciate it :)
