I want to build a new desk top pc. Would like quad core. thinking AMD? I shop with tigerdirect, newegg, and microcenter.com

Lets see how much bang for the buck you can come up with. for a stable reliable system

My son is planning on building his 1st computer. He has picked out some good stuff and will probably be a very cool setup, but I want to build one that will keep up to his for half the price.

Any suggestions of a build that would end up around $750. mouse, keyboard and monitor not important at this point thanks for any suggestions?

We have been pricing evrything through Newegg. Anyone have other suggestions?

need help with User settings to get the best picture out of this 42" LCD. I have gotten it better but faces still seem a bit grainy and doubnle cast. What settings for contrast, color, sharpness are you getting the best picture with?
