What is equality legislation (Education)?
Hello everyone,
I am doing an assignment and it asks me on it "What is equality legislation?" Can anyone please tell me what it is, and how it is useful? Has it got anything to do with the equality 2010 act?
Thank you in advance for all of your help and advice, I am very grateful.

2 AnswersGovernment8 years agoI am thinking of doing some GCSEs?
Hello everyone,
I am 20 years old and I live in the UK. I am thinking of doing GCSEs in maths and English in September. At school I got a G in GCSE maths and I got an Entry Level 3 in English, in 2010 I got my level 2 qualification in English and in March 2012 I got my level 2 in maths.
Can anyone tell me how hard/easy the GCSEs are? And do you think I have got any chance of at least getting a C grade in those subjects?
Thank you in advance for all of your help and advice. I am very grateful.

1 AnswerHomework Help8 years agoHow can I improve my speech skills?
Hello everyone, I am 20 years old and I live in England. I work for the council, I work with children and young people.
I feel that my communication skills aren't great. I often stutter my words, and when I'm talking I can't always seem to get my words out, even though I had already thought of what to say in my head. Sometimes when I speak sometimes things don't make sense, because ny words get mixed up, and when this happens, it feels like people stare at me funny and that they are judging me.
I don't feel very confident in talking to people because of this, and I also find it quite hard to say some words. Can someone please help me, how can I improve my speech and communication skills?
Thank you so much, I am very grateful.

1 AnswerOther - Education8 years agoHow do I ask this woman out?
Hello everyone, I am 20 years old and I live in the UK. I work as a youth worker for a local council, I have got a colleague and she is just a little younger than me, she is also a youth worker. When we talk it seems different, we seem to blush a bit and we seem to make a lot of eye contact and we catch one another looking at each other and when one of us sees we then look away. I have known her for about 2 months.
I know she is single, does it sound like she may like me? If so how do I go about asking her out?

3 AnswersHomework Help9 years agoHow much is considered good in saving terms?
Hello everyone,
I'm 20 years old and I live in England. I have a monthly savings account, and in that I have £300 is that good considering I haven't started any of my 3 part time jobs yet? (I am waiting for the CRB checks to come through) I haven't really got anything in mind as to what I'm saving for, I'm just saving as much as possible in case I need it.
I would like to think that some of my personal savings will be for my retirement, and or buying a house.
How much is considered good in terms of savings? How much should I have in savings for someone of my age?
Thank you in advance for your advice and answers, I am very grateful.

3 AnswersDental9 years agoHow can I improve my self confidence after family situation?
Hello everyone, this is going to be a long question just so you can understand my situation easier and be able to offer more advice and guidance.
I am 20 years old I live in England. My mum had five children including me, I have got 1 older sister 2 older brothers and 1 young brother, I live with my dad and one of my older beothers I also live with my younger brother. I am the only child who went to a special needs school, as I have a mild learning disability.
Because of the mild learning disability my brothers that I live with have called me things such as retar. spast.c mentle and a stupid useless retar.ed spast.c my dad knows about this as I have told him and he has heard them my own dad has also called me a physco before. I went to college for 3 years and I did 4 different courses, my brothers say that I wasted my time at college and I didn't gain any decent qualifications I only completed a level 1 course at college while I was on my 3rd year. My younger brother said once "you failed college and you aren't going to do anything with your life you spast.c" then my dad said "did you fail college?" I have got level 2 qualifications in maths and English. Once when I was washing up with my brothers my older brother kept saying I was a retar. and I kept saying how am I. Then I said to him "I would rather sound like one rather than actually act and be one like you" that was the first time I ever said anything back to him like that and I only did it because I was upset and hurt. Then he said "Oh yeah!" then he punched me very hard in the face and I was crouched down and he punched me a few more times in the face and he also kneed me in the face. I had a black eye and mu mouth was very swollen I couldn't really eat anything for a week or so. My younger brother has also said to me that he wished I was dead and how he wanted me to get hit by a bus whilst I'm out.
I have recently got 3 part time jobs at the age of 20, one as a youth worker that is 2 and a half hours per week, and the other two jobs are also youth worker jobs and they are both Zero Hours Contracts.
My youth worker said she is very proud of me because she knows my family situation and she said I'm doing so very well because I have got these jobs and I haven't got much experience in youth work only a few months worth and she said I have probably beat people who are far more experienced for the job, she also said I am doing very well because all of the studying I am doing.
So I always feel aweful about myself and I have no confidence, in group discussions there are things I want to say but I don't because I'm worried of what people will think or say about me. I don't want people to judge me. And when I'm talking to people whilst I am standing up I don't make much eye contact when I talk to people and I don't really say much back as what I should/want to. And I find it very hard to smile at people.
Can anyone help me by giving me ideas on how to improve my self confidence, and how I can talk more to people and offer inputs to group conversations and how to smile at people?
I know this has been a long situation and you have had to read a lot but thank you for taking your time to help me. Thank you in advance for all of the help and advice I am very grateful.

3 AnswersMental Health9 years agoShould I re-take my maths GCSE?
Hello everyone,
I'm 20 years old and I live in England. I left school in July 2008 which was very nearly 4 years a go. I went to a special needs school as I have got a mild learning disability.
I only did 2 GCSE's one in Art and the other in maths, in maths I got a G grade, I found maths very hard then and when I found out I got a G in maths I felt so ashamed of myself and I still do. I feel really stupid. But a couple of months a go I passed a level 2 adult maths qualification.
I feel that my maths skills are a lot better than they were 4 years a go and I was thinking of re-sitting my maths GCSE in September. I just want to know how hard is the actual maths and how hard is it to at least get a C grade in maths?
Thank you in advance for all of your help and advice, I am very grateful.
