Think you've seen it all? Think again. Outside those doors, we might see anything. We could find new worlds, terrifying monsters, impossible things. And if you come with me... nothing will ever be the same again! "I'm the Doctor! Simply "the Doctor"! The one, the only, and the best" ;)

  • Safe to feed dog "prescription" food?

So our neighbours dog passed away and they have us all of his food, one is a large bad of dog food specifically designed for dogs with kidney problems (low salt, protein, low phosphorous), is it safe to give him this?

None of the ingredients seem bad, it's just low in certain things. Ill obviously mix it with other food so he won't be affected by the low protein or salt.

  • Need help working out girls meaning.?

Ok so I asked her if she wanted to do anything, she said sure, but didn't want to go the movies with me. She apparently has no problem coming over to my house though...

Does that mean anything? She's embarrassed to go out in public with me?

  • Why do you all seem to be against giving bones?

I seriously don't understand it. I know some of you are going to argue that it's dangerous and can get stuck etc, but do you actually have any stats to support that claim?

Not to mention. Wild/Feral dogs and their closest relative all eat bones.

  • Looking for a good drought tolerant ground cover to replace grass?

    1. It needs to be reasonably drought tolerant

    2. It needs to kind of act like grass in the sense that it has no specific size and can keep growing bigger (if that makes sense?)

    3. Needs to be pretty dense and be able to out compete most weeds and grass.

    Thx if anyone can help.

  • Dog has pain around ear/in ear?

My dogs ear started hurting for some unknown reason all of 20mins ago. I'm fairly sure it's not an infection because it came on so suddenly. i'm going to grab my hari cutter and shave the area behind his ear 2morow, but an ideas what it could be?

My best guess is that it might be a fox tail that got in there, so I might have to take him to the vet.

    An ideas???

  • Do weeping willows need lots of water to survive?

I know all about their roots and ability to search for water, but do they need lots to survive?

I live in a pretty dry area, so it doesn't rain often, especially in summer.

  • Alright we seem to be going backwards here, humans are apes..?

    Yes they are.

If one more person tells me we just share a common ancestor i'm going to hit somebody. That's the argument you use for "are humans monkeys" (although I could debate that as well).

Lets just make this clear. Apes is a not a species, it's the collective common name for the hominidae group. And before someone tells me humans have evolved further so we're no longer apes, that's like saying a penguin isn't a bird because it doesn't fly.

We have the exact same characteristics as apes.

    PROBLEM SOLVED.

  • What are the funniest things you've seen on a Christians profile?

"Those who has never had a taste of Gods goodness"

Made me lol (think sexual thoughts)

    "Conservative

    vote Constitution Party

    pro-life

    young-Earth creationist

like to write, draw, hunt, fish, camp

    love dogs

    married, have 6-year old daughter

before I became a Christian, I used to be the exact opposite of above."

Is hilarious when you make everything the opposite. She apparently liked to erase and had a 6 year old son?

  • 2 important questions about military life?

One, I know the "how long do I have to stay comes up a lot, but mine is the opposite, how long is it possible to stay in the army? I'm thinking off dropping out of uni, but one of the obvious problems is that while uni pretty much guarantees me a job for most of my life (short of me failing), how the army work?

And the second question, how does army training reflect back on civilian life? Am I pretty much screwed if I try to find a civilian job after the military?

Thx to anyone that can help.

    Aussie here if it helps.

  • Our ancestor was infact a monkey at one point?

    For anyone that says no.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igq_niFmXNs

    Also

    http://tolweb.org/Primates/15963

The basic summary is that our ancestor gave rise to new world monkeys and old world monkeys + apes. Therefore it is reasonable to assume that it was in fact also a monkey. An animal that is not a monkey cannot possibly give rise to 2 lineages of monkeys. Also scientists have shown the transitional form between Plattyrhini and Cattarrhini was in fact a monkey.

    Thoughts?

  • "Nothing in biology makes sense, except in the light of evolution"?

So creationists, why is it that you have all these Phd "experts" who believe in creation, yet there is still no practical application from creationism?

  • Agnostics, what exactly do you claim?

The idea that atheists some how "believe" that god doesn't exist and agnostics don't is absurd. Atheists base it on evidence or lack of and plain logic. There is no atheist alive today who claims to know everything and that can say with 100% certainty that there is no god. Agnostics do the exact same thing (aside from agnostics theists who are just as bad as theists).

All atheists are agnostic atheist and most agnostics are agnostic atheist as well.

So enough with the pretentious comments towards atheists.

  • A question about the moon?

So the temp on the moon ranges from -173 to 127 degrees C, anyway i'm writing an essay on the moon. The reason it doesn't have a constant temp (or something like the earth) is because of it's lack of atmosphere right? Which is because of it's size?

  • Are there any feminist christians?

It seems just about the weirdest thing i've ever heard.

    The SON of god.

We all think of god as a man.

    12 disciples were all men

    Moses

Adam was made first and Eve was made ONLY because Adam was essentially bored lol.

The writers of the bible are also men.
