Q
In Mass effect 2 as female shepard how can you choose ashley to survive?
I want to play Mass Effect 2 as female Shepard with Ashley surviving but the game forces seem to force Kaidan on me whenever I create a new game. What can I do?
I have no data to import for a female Shepard from Mass Effect 1. I only finished the game as male Shepard if that makes any difference.

11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoWhat is a male lesbian?
When we describe our sexuality all the usual terms are specific to the gender of the subject and the object. That is the terms homosexual and heterosexual only tell us whether relationship is same-sex or opposite-sex. There should be a word to describe sexuality in terms of gender preference regardless of the subject's gender. I would propose gay to mean a sexual preference for men and lesbian a preference for women. So a woman or man attracted to men would be considered to have a gay sexuality. However I'm afraid this would just be confusing since these terms are considered synonymous with homosexuality. Perhaps it would be better to coin new words such as mascuphile or femmiphile. I feel the ending -phile is bit tainted. What do you think?

How many generations does it take before the genetic difference between distant cousins is indistinguishable from the general population?
This is barring any special methods to identify family members such as mitochondrial dna. Please keep in mind that I'm really interested in understand how similar the general population is in terms of common alleles, beyond that of dna sequencing comparisons.
1 AnswerBiology10 years agoWhy won't Tracey Morgan ever acknowledge my presence?
I am neighbors with the lady's man guy from SNL and every morning on the way to work we see each other as we get into our cars. I give him a nod and say good morning Mr. Tracy Morgan, but he won't look at me or say hi back. I'm beginning to think he's racist. Should I confront him?
1 AnswerEtiquette1 decade agoIs there such a thing as race?
(Here are some of my thoughts I would like to here yours)
Of course there are races. Just like there are different breeds of dog. There are different breeds of human naturally selected out of ordinary variation. Our race demands no special action, it's simply a description of our genetic line. Of course we should not confuse race for national origins or the national origins of our ancestors.
Theoretically its possible to have different genetic lines run parallel paths where they develop identical phenotypical appearance. Parallel evolution is common like separate evolution of fight in birds, bats, insects and pterosaurs. It's possible today human genetic diversity has instances where this has happen. From a phenotypical perspective an artist would only need a general description where stating the race would suffice. However for historical scientist it would important for to accurately map our genetic history.
For instance a Great Dane and Chihuahua phenotypically differ so much it would be impossible for them to breed in the wild. However since they have matching chromosomes they could still breed artificially. There is a reasonable doubts a chihuahua mother or the puppies would survive the pregnancy based on the size difference of the breeds. When these types of difference occur due to natural selection it could lead to speciation. Along these same lines it would be possible to have human evolve into separate species in a mixed populace.
In this light race should be embraced as normal interesting phenomena. To deny this reality is simply another form of politically correctness misplace. All species of any cognitive ability demand certain rights inherent to their well being. In this light the rights demanded homo sapiens belong to all intelligent species. So one could say all homo sapiens are humans but not all humans are homo sapiens. Thus the term Humans should refer to all high intelligence species and word Terrains should refer to species of earth origins.
6 AnswersAnthropology1 decade agoTwo Sentries, Two Doors?
You come across two sentries each standing in front of a door. One door leads to heaven, the other door to hell. The sentry from hell always lies, the sentry from heaven always tells the truth. Either sentry can guard either door. You are allowed to ask one sentry, one question. What do you ask to determine the destination of each door?
There is more than one solution. Can you figure out both.
1 AnswerJokes & Riddles1 decade agoWould the world be a better off without Islam?
Of course. I know the answer. I just want to hear other people's thoughts.
I'm not interested in hearing false equivalencies. That is, ' all religions are the same or it would be better if they were all gone.' Faith is the same in all religions. However the teaching of a religion can be diametrically different, some demand absolute loyalty others are flakey, some are pacifistic others are militaristic. That's what makes religion potentially dangerous blind faith in a random philosophy.
I don't want to hear, 'some people are just bad, can't blame religion.' That is ignorant garbage, religion informs beliefs, if a religion condemns homosexuality, almost uniformly their believers will condemn homosexuality. The same is not true of non-religious, non-believers, agnostics, and atheists since these people tend to be independent thinkers. I also think its best if we avoid saying, 'it's bad people that use religion for bad things.' It spite of what you wish to believe, religion is not inherently good. Good people are persuaded to bad things in the name of bad religion or politics all the time.
One more thing, 'fundamentalism is the problem, not religion.' This statement here is an imaginary solution. It's impossible to have a religion without part of its company being fundamentalist. It's human nature, some will be good, others bad, some will be fundamentalist others disinterested. Thus the worth of a religion is not judged alone by the best and disinterested in its company but also by the worst and most devout believer.
Lastly let's not play the victim game. Islam is not a victim. It rightfully owns its reputation. And if Islam were gone there would not be an automatically be an equally bad religion its place.
Let me give an example. Sometimes dogs bite. Rottweilers sometimes attack and kill. Some breeds are more dangerous than others. If their were no fighting breeds instead in their place a breed more like Labradors the world of dogs would be a better place.

11 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoI read a story that shocked me.?
I read a story that shocked me to my core. I believe it has left a permanent mark on my soul. For the past few weeks I have been unable to become aroused without also feeling a deep anger and looming sadness. Has anyone had a similar experience? The story a was personal memoir of a woman dragged into a world of human trafficking, rape and prostitution. Although I know this story to be fiction; it pains me so much because know its content to be very real today. The story didn't end happily; it left our protagonist broken too weak to end this life but reluctantly turned to accept this slave's life. I remain haunted...constantly trying to relive those moments wishing, and pretending the choice had been the former.
