My Word!
I brought my mother to the hospital, but she does not have insurance. What do I do?
Help guys. Does anyone have ideas? She fell and cut her forehead so I brought her to a local hospital. She is 59 and doesn't have medical insurance. We're both scared. I've been wanting to put her on the Gold Card, but we obviously didn't do that yet. Does anyone know of a medical insurance that is for low income families?
10 AnswersInsurance6 years agoWhy don't I feel special around my boyfriend anymore?
So I've been dating my boyfriend for almost a year now (and he was one of my best friends for a yr before that). And I don't know why, but lately I just don't feel special around him anymore.
Just to give you some detail, my guy's one of the funny ones. Funny, but he can be sweet when he wants to. And to be honest, I didn't start dating him over looks. But I GREW to love him over time. But even though I love him -and he says he loves me all the time- our relationship feels different.
Lately, I don't find his jokes all that funny. And when we're intimate, I don't feel emotionally connected. Valentines night sucked. But I can't help it, I've started dwelling more on little things:
-He rarely opens doors for me, unless he's opening his house door to let me in so we can hang out.
-As soon as I leave his house, he shuts the door. He doesn't wait for me to get in my car when it's 11 at night.
-The other night that I was leaving his house, I accidentally left my cell in his room. So naturally, I went back and knocked on the door. He didn't hear me. Or his dog barking at the door. So I left my phone with him. I almost cried on the way home, b/c it's not the first time I've had to wait outside his house for more than a few minutes.
-He says he wants to hang out, but then I go over and he's playing video games. It gets so frustrating because I'm like "why does he even want me over....?". So I can watch tv?
I might be overreacting, but I know how I feel. I know he loves to tell me I'm pretty and tries to make me smile, but I just can't anymore. Not around him.
What are we doing? Is this relationship unhealthy? I feel so distant from him sometimes.
Thanks. And as always, if you have nothing to say, just share what you had for breakfast :)
2 AnswersSingles & Dating7 years agoWhat would be the female equivalent to a guy's arms be?
Silly question, but my friends and I want to know lol
Legs? Lips?
1 AnswerSingles & Dating8 years agoI like Blaine's wardrobe style in Glee. What would be the female equivalent of this?
Silly question, I know. I love bows though. My style's more sweet & feminine (I don't really go for those HUGE hair bow clips & headbands, though). What do you guys think the female equivalent of Blaine would look like?
2 AnswersFashion & Accessories9 years agoEver had a straight guy compliment your jewelry?
More than once? Just curious :)
1 AnswerFriends9 years agoDoes it sound like he likes me?
So I have this guy friend, Joey. We met in high school and ended up going to the same community college. And a couple of weeks ago, I was in the open computer lab working on an assignment. When suddenly I felt these 2 hands covering my eyes. You know, that game where you have to guess who it is? (cheesy, I know lol) But then I found out it was him and we talked for a few minutes.
I noticed he was wearing a leather jacket, so I complimented him on it, saying it looked cool. He asked if I wanted to try it on, so I did. It was sooo warm :) He then told me, "I looks good on you.."
So I just smiled and looked up at him and said, "You think?" And he just smiled back and Mmhm'd.
Of course I had to give him his jacket back since it was freezing outside.
What I'm wondering is.... am I making something out of nothing? I mean, he's one of my best guy friends, and I would hate it if I was making a big deal out of him just being NICE.
If you say there's nothing there, then I PROMISE I'll leave it alone and forget the whole thing even happened. So what do you guys think?
Of course, as always, if you have nothing to say on the matter, then just post what you had for breakfast lol. I had sweet-bread and coffee :)
6 AnswersFriends9 years agoWhy do people ask others about you, instead of talking to you when you're there?
Does that make sense? I don't know, I just noticed this yesterday.
I mean, why do some people never talk to you when you're THERE in front of them, but instead ask others about your whereabouts when you AREN'T?
I say, if you're don't have the decency to talk to the person face-to-face, then what are you doing asking others where they are, you know?
No worries if this question sounds kinda convoluted (it did to me, lol), I was just curious. If it makes absolutely no sense -or if you have nothing to say on the matter- just respond with what you had for lunch lol. Happy Holidays!

3 AnswersPolitics9 years agoIs it possible I have diabetes?
I know I can't know for-sure unless I take a blood test, but I just wanted to see if it could be anything else:
-I'm sort of pale, but I've always been that way
-I get cold easily, but still sweat (this could be due to the weather, though it doesn't explain the sweating)
-My wavy/ curly hair used to be pretty thick, but now it's just soft and really fine. I don't use heat on it. And I don't wash it more than twice a week because it rarely gets oily.
-Sometimes I'll be really hungry, but when I've started eating, it doesn't take me long to get full.
-I DON'T use the restroom frequently
-Sometimes I get lightheaded, like I'm breathing too fast or something.
-I don't really exercise. I just walk around campus.
-I have an aunt who has diabetes, but not my parents
-I'm 20 yrs old
-Weight: 102
-Height: 4' 10''
Could these things be caused by something else? Is it my lack of intense exercise? Or is it just my diet?
7 AnswersDiabetes9 years agoWhy don't people talk to me as often when I'm dressed nice?
I know it sounds odd, but I've started noticing that reaction from a lot of people, ESPECIALLY with guys. I don't understand why, though. I swear this happens all the time...
Usually jeans & tees and sneakers are my go-to look. I'm a shy Plain Jane. I don't any wear makeup either. NONE whatsoever.
But I've noticed that when I actually make an effort to look nice (I don't do much: maybe a pretty blouse, I do my hair, wear a tiny bit of lip gloss, and curl my eyelashes), and it's like I become invisible. Suddenly my classmates or professors find no reason to talk to me. It's like they find me boring or something. Why IS that?
Am I doing something wrong? I'm average in beauty (I know I'm sort-of pretty, but it's not enough to make me seem unapproachable...), so it's DEFINITELY not that they're intimidated. I don't dress provocatively or wear makeup. So what's up?
By the way, they don't seem to have any trouble talking to the girls that DO dress nice for school...
Has this ever happened to you? If so, please feel free to share. :)
5 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships10 years agoWhy don't people talk to me as often when I try to look nice, as opposed to when I don't?
I know it sounds odd, but I've started noticing that with people, ESPECIALLY with guys. I don't understand why though. I swear this happens all the time...
Usually jeans & tees and sneakers are my go-to look. I'm pretty much a shy Plain Jane. I don't wear makeup either. It's when most people talk to me.
But when I actually make an effort to look nice (I don't do much: maybe a pretty blouse, styled hair, a tiny bit of lip gloss, and curled eyelashes), and it's like I've become invisible. Suddenly my classmates or professors find no reason to talk to me. It's like they find me boring or something.
Am I doing something wrong? It's definitely not that they're intimidated. I have about as much capability of intimidation as a BABY. I don't dress provocatively either. So what is it?
Has this ever happened to you?
2 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships10 years agoWhat's something that a 30yr old guy -who has everything- might like to get for Christmas?
It's for my brother-in-law. But I can't come up with ANYTHING. Since my sister's expecting (We're SOOO excited!), I already have something for her and the baby, but not for my brother-in-law. What to do, what to do...
-The year before last I got him a dress shirt and a big tub of holiday popcorn
-Last year I gave him & my sister a box of s'mores (Which is STILL on their fridge, by the way).
-But what about *this* year?
They already have paper-view and have movies sent-in, so I can't get them DVDs. The best I could come up with is a rubber-band-ball :/ Pathetic, I know.
Should I just get them a rainy-day game, like Apples 2 Apples or Bop-It, or would that be too lame?
If you can, could include some small-budget friendly items?
Also, if YOU'RE 30, what's on your wish-list?
2 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships10 years agoDo guys think I'm desperate/ easy?
I never thought I'd be the type to ask that question.... It's weird. (This doesn't happen all the time. Just once in a while.)
I just don't get it. I don't know if it's because I seem desperate, or easy, or if it's 'cause I'm in college where guys think about getting in a girl's pants 24/7. I mean I'm the most soft-spoken person I know.
-I've never had a boyfriend
-I'm 20
-I'm short (just under 5ft)
-I don't wear any makeup (I DO however take care of my skin)
-AND I don't dress provocatively. Strictly tees & skinny jeans.
Shouldn't they be chasing after someone else? Someone who at least reads the fashion blogs? Why is that?
And (I hope you don't mind if I sneak another Q in here) why do the guys I actually like (genuinely good guys) never give me a second look?
4 AnswersSingles & Dating10 years agoDid I do the right thing by telling him he was making me uncomfortable?
I'm SOOOOO sorry it's long, you guys. I hope it's easy to understand:
See there's this guy at school. He's the boyfriend of a girl in my class. Her and I hardly talk in class, but recently him and I started talking (he's not in the same class, but he stops by to visit sometimes), and I thought he was pretty cool as a friend, because he talks to everybody. But lately he's made a few comments that've put me on edge...
-----Like the other day, I bumped into him in the library (he wasn't with his girl), and he offered to help me with my paper. So I thought it was fine. We got to talking, and he started complimenting me, and saying stuff like "Haha, you're adorable" and "I'm serious. If I wasn't with *Emily*, I'd totally ask you out."
-----Then today they both stopped by the classroom to say hi, and he gave me a big hug like he usually does. But I noticed as he was hugging me, that his hands rubbed me a little TOO smoothly. And I didn't say anything, because his girlfriend was RIGHT THERE. Then they left, and not 5 minutes later he came back by himself. He said hi again and gave me another hug, and a kiss on the cheek. We started talking (about coffee, b/c apparently I had coffee breath), and all of a sudden he tells me I'm beautiful. Beautiful? I thought -Is he freaking kidding me?-.
He left for a bit, then came back, and (Are you still reading my this?) told me I was cute. So what did I do? I told him he was making me uncomfortable. HE made it seem like there was nothing wrong with it.
But did I do the right thing? Or should I have held my tongue & accepted the compliments? I only like him as a friend, nothing more. And he's got a girlfriend anyway, so what's HE thinking? I'm so confused! And I'm not used to being told I look nice. I'm pretty much a Plain Jane, w/ extra pimples on the side, lol. Not to mention shy.
Comments? Suggestions? Answer whatever you wish :)
4 AnswersFriends10 years agoHow long before your period do you usually start cramping?
I *DON'T* mean when you first get your period. I've had mine for years... I just wanted to know if I should start packing protection inside my bag today, or if I should do it tomorrow... I just don't wanna be here at school unprepared.
A week? A couple of days? How long before that time, do YOU guys usually start to cramp?
2 AnswersWomen's Health10 years agoGuys: Do you ever compliment girls you aren't interested in?
I mean, would you ever lie to a random girl just to make her feel good about herself? Just curious.
Not including your mother, lol.
9 AnswersSingles & Dating10 years agoWhat kind of guys like the "cute" girls?
So I know other people have asked questions about The Cuteness Factor, and how much it bugs people to be called "cute" (you know, because it makes people feel like babies to be called that, or feel like they aren't taken seriously, etc. etc.). Are you following? Does it make sense?
Anywho, I know that everyone has different opinions about who or what they find attractive, but that's exactly where I'm going with this: What's the typical guy (or some of the characteristics of guys) that like "cute", child-like women?
There's a reason for the Q I promise!
See, every once in a blue moon, some guy mentions that I'm "cute". And usually the ones who've shown any interest in me, are tall goofy guys with teddy bear personalities. Is that common? Is it because they feel more comfortable approaching me since I'm not a big talker?
And if none of that made sense, or it sounds completely ridiculous (believe me I AGREE), then just post your opinion on the matter. If not, just write what you had for lunch or something lol.
5 AnswersSingles & Dating10 years agoWhy do fruit flies always follow me?
I know it sounds like a stupid question, but I just want to know. See they always seem to find me when I'm at school, which is weird, because I've never seen fruit in the art studio. Once, I was swatting at one, and I moved away for a bit, and it just followed me. Do I smell bad? I shower, and use deodorant, I even check to see if my breath smells, but I still can't figure out what's attracting those little buggers. Are they attracted to body odor or something? Could someone explain please?
1 AnswerZoology10 years agoCould someone catch me up on Glee-Seasons 2 to 3?
Man, it's like I've been living in a cave ever since I started college. Things've been moving so fast! I don't know why I thought it was in its 2nd season.
Anywho, I'd never seen Glee before, and I saw the 1st season in the library last week, so I checked it out. I just got through watching it, and I'm hooked! Could someone talk me through what happened in all of Season 2, just enough so I can understand what's going in Season 3 on Tuesday? Pretty please? Thanks :)
Eventually I'll see Season 2, I just don't want to get behind on THIS season.
1 AnswerOther - Television10 years agoWhat is the best website to sell my things?
Long story short, I need quick money to help pay for my tuition. My family's sort of tight on money, and I'd REALLY like to find a way to help (Before you say "Get a job", I've got one, but it's not going to be enough).
I'd really like to sell some of my textbooks that I'm done with. What's the best way to do this? Is there a big fee to get started? Should I go on Amazon or eBay? Which is safer?
