  • Is there some kind of "Transformers" cult that I am not aware about?

Hi! I have noticed quite a few vehicles lately with Transformers window clings of the "Optimus Prime" character and even a vehicle with the "Optimus Prime" face built into the design on the back. What's up with this? I mean, I enjoyed the "Transformers" television series when I was a kid, but I grew out of that. These are grown people with this stuff on their vehicles. Also, although I haven't seen any of the "Transformers" movies, I have seen previews for them and they look crap-tacular. Seems to be the usual culprit - too much reliance on CGI and hokey storyline.

  • Not able to choose best answer, comment, extend on Yahoo! Answers?

Hi! In the past, I have been able to choose best answer, comment and extend the time for my questions, but lately, I do not see the options listed when I go to my questions. They have not expired, so I don't know why I am not able to. Anybody know why? I should be able to do all of that after I click on my questions that are still open, correct?

  • Will there be a Fiesta Boricua in Milwaukee this year (2012)?

Hello! I was just wondering if anybody knows if there will be a Fiesta Boricua this Summer in Milwaukee. I know that there have been some in the past, but it seems as though it has been several years or so since there was one here in Milwaukee. I did a search on Yahoo! and it says the last two were in 2007 and 2010. It just seems kind of strange to me, since, according to the Census, between 2000 and 2010 Milwaukee gained 5,000 in its stateside Puerto Rican population, one of the few major cities in the north to do so. It is now at about 24,000 in the city with about 30,000 total in the metro area. So, does anybody know if there will be a Fiesta Boricua or any kind of Puerto Rican festival in Milwaukee this year and if so, when and where? Thanks.

Aunque cuando yo crecía (y ahora también), yo tenía amigos mexicoamericanos en mi vecindad, no había ningunos paleteros en nuestra vecindad, pero ahora, hay paleteros y quiero comprar otra paleta cuando yo lo veo. ¿Debería yo o no? ¿Y si debería, cuánto? Vivo en Wisconsin.

  • Does doing Disk Cleanup delete toolbar addresses and Favorites?

Hello. I would like to do a Disk Cleanup to free up space on my computer, but I am concerned that if I do that, it will delete the addresses that are on my address bar and delete my Favorites. Will or won't this happen? If it will, is there any way to do a Disk Cleanup without that happening and will still free up a lot of space on my computer?

  • What Qualifies as Salsa Music?

Hi! I'd like to know, what qualifies as salsa music? Is rumba considered salsa? Is mambo considered salsa? What about this fast (and better, in my opinion) version of "Quimbara"? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNXnfd3YqL0 Is it a rumba? Is it salsa? This is for a presentation for a Spanish class that I'm taking.

  • Are these Spanish to English translations correct?

Hello! Could somebody please tell me if these Spanish to English translations are correct?

hablarle = to talk to it

Yo la hablando = I'm talking to her

Also, "Estamos yendo al almuerzo" would be "We're going to lunch", correct? Or you could also say "Vamos ir al almuerzo", right? Or would that mean "We go to lunch"?

    !Gracias!

  • "I'm working" and "You're working" are the same in Spanish?

Hello! I was just wondering if "trabajando" can mean both "I'm working" or "You're working" in Spanish?

I ask because a lady who speaks Spanish at work said to me, "Trabajando duro?" I asked what that meant and she said it means "You working hard?"

Then I went on here to ask how to say "I'm working hard" and all three people said that it's "Estoy trabajando duro". So I am guessing that you can use "trabajando" to say either "You're working" or "I'm working", correct?

Also, what does it mean when there is "le" or "lo" added to the end of a word? Like "hablarle" or "hablarlo". And what is the difference between the two, if any?

    Gracias!

  • Please, how do you say, "I'm working hard" and other phrases in Spanish?

!Hola!

    "I'm going..."

    "I'm doing..."

Tambien, "His pants are too low" es "Sus pantalones son demasiado bajo", verdad?

Y "His pants are very low" es "Sus pantalones son muy bajo", correct? Pero, couldn't you also say "...son bajoso" or is it "bajisimo"?

Lo siento, solamente una pregunta mas: "What are you watching?" would be "Que viendo", no?

Lo siento por todas las preguntas muchas.

    !Gracias!

  • Why does my question keep getting removed?

Hello! I have posted this three times now and for whatever reason, Yahoo keeps on removing my question. I have no idea why. That is really unfair. They sent me two violation notices in my e-mail and where it says, "Reason for violation:", it is left blank for both of them. WTH!?

Anyway, me gustaria hablar espanol, pero mi comprension es muy basico.

  • Please, How do you say "Do you need help" and "Let me check" in Spanish?

Hola! Por favor, could somebody please tell me how to say "Do you need help" and "Let me check" in Espanol?

I ask because where I work, there are a lot of customers that speak Spanish and sometimes very little English.

I have taken some Spanish courses in the past. But unfortunately, I have forgotten much of what I have learned over the years. I remember numbers, colors, clothing, some animals, and the weather. I believe "Do you need help?" is "Necesitas ayuda?" Correct? And when it is more than one person, it is "Necesitan ayuda?" Verdad?

I would really appreciate it if somebody could help me with these phrases. Thanks!

  • What does "wepa" and "no mames guey" mean?

I was just wondering, I have heard a few Puerto Ricans from time to time say, "Viva Puerto Rico, wepa!" What does that mean? I mean, I know that "Viva Puerto Rico" means "Long live Puerto Rico". But what does "wepa" mean? Is it something specific to Puerto Ricans?

Also, what does "no mames, guey!" mean?

  • "Can my butt look any bigger meal" on Subway commercial?

Ok. Has anybody else seen this Subway commercial? I'm so tired of it!!

In this commercial, some office workers are going to eat lunch from a non-Subway fast-food restaurant. A lady asks her co-worker, "If they still have the can-my-butt-look-any-bigger meal, can you get it for me?", implying that this is somehow a bad thing.

Now excuse me, but how is a big butt on a woman a bad thing? Not only that, but she looks like she could probably use a "can-my-butt-look-any-bigger" meal. Or a few.

Subway also did this on a previous commercial, where a lady and her husband were at a drive-thru and she asked for the "badunk-a-dunk butt" meal. Again, impying that this is bad.

I ask you, what is wrong with a badunk-a-dunk butt? Badunk-a-dunk butts are beautiful!

I say long live badunk-a-dunk butts!

Ok. Has anybody else seen this Subway commercial? I'm so tired of it!!

In this commercial, some office workers are going to eat lunch from a non-Subway fast-food restaurant. A white, blonde lady asks her co-worker, "If they still have the can-my-butt-look-any-bigger meal, can you get it for me?", implying that this is somehow a bad thing.

Now excuse me, but how is a big butt on a woman a bad thing? Not only that, but she looks like she could probably use a "can-my-butt-look-any-bigger" meal. Or a few.

I think these commercials are actually semi-racist towards women of certain ethnic backgrounds that tend to have beautiful, big, round butts. Like Latinas, for example.

    I say long live badunk-a-dunks!
