Other than regular prefolds. I get there are many compnants to a lot of them but overall, which brand seems to be more moderately priced?

When a possible future employer wants your references, is it required that they write reference letters each themselves, or is it acceptable to just give the employer a list of their names, positions and phone numbers?

I recently just noticed that my syrian hamster's beening urinating a tonne. Like, 5 times as much as he usually does. I can't imagine it's because he's become diabetic, I haven't been feeding him anything sugary or new. Any idea's why this is happening?

2 AnswersOther - Yahoo Products8 years agoHow to prevent my hamster from falling into hibernation again?
Just this morning I checked on my syrian hamster and I thought he had died overnight. He hadn't touched his food and he was in the same position. I picked him up and he moved slightly so I realized he had actually slipped into hibernation. After about an hour or so we got him out of it but he's still very groggy and tired. He's regained his motor skills but his body is still shaking a little bit. We gave him little bits of his food and he took it gratefully but it seems like halfway through his chewing he falls asleep and I'm worried that he'll fall back into hibernation. We put him back into his cage with plenty of food and water with a heater to keep the room warm and he seems to be sleeping. What can I do to make sure he doesn't hibernate again? Is it a good idea to let him sleep or should I try to keep him awake? How common is it for a hamster to hibernate? And what can I do to make sure he doesn't do it again?
5 AnswersRodents8 years agoWet tail in hamsters?
I have a 10 month old long haired syrian hamster and I recently (about 3 or 4 days ago) noticed that he had diahrrea on his bum. I got worried but his behavior was perfectly fine- running on his wheel, eating, drinking- so I just wiped it off and decided to keep an eye on it. He started sleeping all night every night after that but had normal solid bowel movements and was still fine being handled and everything. Just last night I noticed that his tail was wet as well as him sleeping all night and acting quite lethargic. My boyfriend and I got really worried and started giving him Oasis wet tail drops last night. He still eats and drinks just has much as he did before and when I checked on him today his wheel was dirty as if he had been running on it at least a little bit last night but still seems to be really sleepy.
Also my boyfriend and I just got over a cold and I handled him during that time. Could it be that maybe he just caught our sickness (seeing as hammies can do that) or is it actually wet tail? And do you think he'll survive?
3 AnswersRodents8 years agoMy hamster has diarrhea!?
I just noticed that my 10 month old syrian hamster has diarrhea on his bum! I checked his house where he sleeps and there's plenty of normal feces in there, and his behavior is normal other than the fact that he spent last night sleeping for the most part which is unusual, he is active right now. I'm worried he has wet tail ( from what I have no idea, I haven't changed his diet or environment at all ). I have wet tail drops that I bought when I got my hamsters, but will giving a hamster wet tail drops when it doesn't have wet tail harm it?
2 AnswersRodents8 years agoMarijuana and pregnancy?
Note that I am NOT pregnant, but I do know of someone who got pregnant and throughout the first month she was smoking weed on a daily basis since she didn't know she was expecting. She was 5 weeks when she learned she was pregnant and of course quit smoking cold turkey.
My question is what kind of birth defects could your child possibly have if you were smoking pot in the first month of your pregnancy (knowing that that's when the baby's organs and everything are being developed a lot). What about throughout the entire 9 months?
1 AnswerPregnancy8 years agoQuestions about ear stretching?
I recently decided to start stretching my ears. I have them at a 12g just to start at the moment and despite what everyone said it was somewhat painful (a lot of resistance). Hard to sleep on them and they're still sore to the touch (I did them yesterday). What kind of tips do you guys have to make it less painful the next time and a little easier? How long should I leave the tapers in before I put in plugs? I bought acrylic jewelry, will that be okay and/or what would be the best material?
Also I would appreciate any tips, advice and personal experiences! Thanks!
P.S I don't plan on going any bigger than a 0g at largest.
5 AnswersOther - Skin & Body8 years agoAre my robo hamsters play fighting or actually fighting?
I recently (2 weeks ago) brought home a pair of robo brothers. They got along great at first and everything was going fine until a few nights ago. At first it just seemed like they were play fighting, wrestling around and chasing eachother but now it seems like it's turning more agressive. One of them always pins the other one down and it looks like they're slapping eachother with their mouths open and nibbling at eachother. Also they've started squeeking while they do this last night as well and that's what's worrying me the most.
No blood loss or hair loss in either of them, they are physically fine but I separated them last night just to be safe.
They usually sleep together afterwards throughout the day as if nothing happened. Are they just figuring out their pecking order or are they actually fighting?
2 AnswersRodents8 years agoBest cage for Robo hamsters?
I just recently got 2 roborovski hamsters and I'm curious as to which type of cage is best. I currently have a Penn-Plax Here and There cage and I HATE it. Also I feel like it's too small because I can barely fit 2 wheels and all their play things inside. I have a Habitrail Ovo Loft for my syrian at the moment and I am a fan so I'm considering getting the habitrail cage for dwarfs. Is it big enough for 2 robos or is there another brand that would be better suited?

2 AnswersSecurity8 years agoBlack bald spot on my hamster?
A while back I changed my hamster's bedding from aspen shavings to carefresh but it seemed to irritate his skin quite a bit to the point where he lost a patch of fur. He lost the hair on the back of his neck, so I know they aren't his scent glands. After I switched back to the shavings the bald spot went from a pink skin color to black in a matter of a few days. His hair grew back and he is perfectly fine now, but recently I've noticed that the skin that had turned black is now a normal pink color again! I've googled this and I can't seem to figure out why this happened, just a little curious.
