I was seen in the ER for a car accident about 3 months ago. Scans showed my head was good but there is a 9mm nodule on my thyroid. I was told I'd need an ultrasound at some point. I've been ignoring it, because I dont have a PCP and am unsure how to get an ultrasound. What do I do? 

Overall, I've always thought of myself as a decently confident person. I'm okay with my body. I've planned events that 100s of people have attended, If any one of my friends or coworkers ever need anything I am the first one to scream and cry until they get it. And yet, I have to call off work on Thursday because I am too scared to tell my boss that I messed up my availability and have class on Wednesday instead of Thursday. She is so nice and I know she will work with me, but I am so scared to talk to her that I can't. How do I get enough courage and confidence to do something as aimple as talk to my manager about my schedule?

I got my gallbladder removed almost 2 weeks ago. I am doing very well at this point. The doctor approved me to go back to work today, but with a weight restriction for 6 weeks. Despite the fact that I don t lift a lot at my job, they will not let me return with any restrictions. I m going back to the doctor in 2 days, do you think he would drop the restriction if I asked him too.

I am a senior in high school. I am both part of the Speech Team and the Musical. Up until a few days ago I thought that States for Speech and the Musical were on the same days, then I discovered that States had been moved.

At the States qualifying competition the top three in my category moved on to States. I got fourth, but was then informed by the person who got third that he could not go and I would be going in his place. Now, I just have to wait for the paperwork to come through saying that I can go. However, what if the person who got third was also told the wrong date and I am not able to go?

I know I shouldn't be worrying so much about this it is just a dumb competition, but I really want to go and I have worked so hard. At the same time, I don't want to get my hopes up just to be let down. Should I allow myself to be happy about this?

I've seen that many of the most popular blogs on Tumblr have white themes. This bothers me a little bit, because why would you use a plain white theme with a few words. I do not understand why having a white theme makes you cool on Tumblr. It seems so boring to me. I'm not saying that a white theme is bad, but why do so many people have white theme?

I'm 17 years old. Last week I got very dehydrated one day and it caused a bunch of acid to build up in my stomach. This appeared when I re-hydrated. Then, my throat started to hurt. It felt like acid had been poured down my throat and I had an awful taste in my mouth. However, I never got spots on my tonsils. Within a few days my nose started getting stuffed up and there was a lot of post nasal drip.

Today, I am still having problems swallowing. My throat is still sore, and my voice is a bit hoarse. My nose will not stop running, and I have heartburn. At least I think it's heartburn. I have a tightness all the way from my chest to my throat. I don't know what to do. I'm still hoping it would go away.

Twice in the past week I have had moments where I have laughed for ten minutes uncontrollably. I could not stop, and it was not even that funny. This has happened before, but it is happening more often now. I don't know how to make it stop. How can I make myself stop laughing? Is that even possible?

I am having a recurring dream almost every night. In the dream one of my closest friends has a knife held to his throat by a murderer who is trying to start a mass murder at our high school. I end up tricking him and save my friend and myself. We run, and he falls so I carry him. We end up in the main office, or a teachers room and I explain what happened, while he curls on my lap and cries or just clings to me. People try to make fun of him, but I yell at them because he is in shock and has never experienced a trauma before in his life. I have to be strong and not cry, because he needs me. The police catch the man and no one dies, but my friend is never the same.
