  • Catholics should we be beatifying dead people?

why are beatifying a dead person,

when Jesus has told us the following: Matthew *;21-22

And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.

But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.

This man was not even given a chance to bury his father, let alone praise him for his previous good works, he was told to let the dead bury the dead

can we not apply the same principal to john paul the 2nd who is well and truly dead?

what good does it do for us to honour a dead man, surely if anyone is to be beatifyed it will be done by God, why can't we just leave it up to him

I happen to notice we have yet to Beatify Moses, isaiah or Daniel, these were real prophets, who committed many miracles when they were alive, who are also in our bibles, when do you suggest we should beatify them or refer to them as saints?

  • Mormons does your God lie with his claim to offering you eternal life?

Mormons, it is evident and clear that the tree of life grants eternal life, the reasons why angels live forever is because they have already eaten from it

The reason man does not live forever is because he has not eaten from it

    Genesis 3:22

"And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:"

If Adam was originally Michael, then he already had eaten from the tree of life, and would not have been able to die in the first place, so why is God trying to stop michael from eating from a tree he has already eaten from?

q2. If we exist as immortal spirits and have laways existed with God, then why did God need to blow life and spirit into the clay to make adam,

surely adam would have already existed as an immortal spirit and would simply have possessed the clay, why did God need to blow into the clay to create life, if that life already existed?

    thanks

  • Catholics was it not a sin for compromised catholics to use contraception the day 'before' the pope said so?

the day before the pope said it was ok for compromised couples to use contraception, it was regarded as a sin for catholics to do so, it was wrong and highly frowned upon by the church

the next day the pope said it is ok for compromised catholics to use contraception, and now it is ok and no sin is applied to them

if it was sinful the day before, why is it no longer sinful the day after?

Q1. If a compromised couple was already using contraception, is it fair to say that they have received this message in advance of the popes know-how, and were therefore already living in the truth before the pope received such truth?

    2. If that is the case what is the point of having a pope as a moral arbitor, if people can already reach such decsions by means of biblical common sense all by themselves?

    3. How many millions of people have died because of supporting the catholics church stance of contraception, the pope could have saved millions more lives if this truth was revealed earlier, why did it take so long, and why was it fit for him to condemn compromised couples who were already taking his 'new; advice years before he preached it?

  • Catholics, Does God have a mother?

Why do Catholics keep refering to Mary as the Mother of God

How is such a thing possible, considering

Nothing Exisied before God, and your mother normally exists before you do, otherwise she cant be your mother

q1.Since Jesus had an eternal existance, and Mary does not, how on Earth can she be his mother?

q2.Since God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit, is it fit or proper to assume that God the Father has a mother?

If you say Mary was Jesus' mother while he was on Earth, you have ot consider that Jesus was God while he was on Earth, and he still had an eternal existance, while Mary was created, I understand she is the vassal he chose to be delviered into this world, and i understand a case for surrogacy, but to call him his Mother, is a title that Jesus never ever accepted.....

    Mathew 12:47-50

While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.”

He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

When it came to his First miracle, turning water into wine, he does not call mary mother but addresses her as 'woman'.

God can not have a mother, as nothing existed before God

the whole point of a mother, is that she has to exist before you do

    thanks

  • Jehovah witnesses, why do you frown upon indivdial study of scripture?

I have heard jehovah witnesses tell me at my doorstep that it was somehow wrong for me to study my bible by myself, and that i virutally needed their help whenever i opened my bible....

Without their organization it would be hard for anyone to come to the true meaning of what the scripture really says,....

    consider this

    Mark 9: 38 - 41

And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.

But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.

For he that is not against us is on our part.

For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

    --------

Q1. What church or organization or society was this man a part of, which taught him to cast out devils in the name of Jesus?

None of tyhe synagogues were teaching this

The religeous leaders did not teach this

This man did not even associate himself with the only group at the time who was traching this (Jesus and his followers), he was unknown to them like the apostles had said.

So where did he learn to cast out devils in Jesus' name. Which text or scripture did he read to come to such a conclusion, and which organization told him to do it, since he was obviosuly not allowed to read it all by himself?

  • Jehovah's Witnesses How do you hope to live forever and never thirst without enterning the kingdom of Heaven?

Angels live forever because they have eaten of the tree of life

God hoped Adam would find that tree eventually, but he ate from thje wrong tree and so was banned from eating of the tree of life, and kicked out of Eden

God has siad that those that Eat of the tree of life will never die and will live forever

God has said that those that drink of his pure water and river of life will never thirst

The only problem is, is that these things are solely located in the city that is the kingdom of heaven which has the names of the 144,000 on it.

According to you, only 144,000 will get to drink this water and eat from this tree.

In fact we are also told that if anyone tries to alter the book of revlelation that God will rmeove him form the book of life and his palce from the Holy City.

Since you claim that as a member of the great crowd you were never destined to be in this kingdom

    1. How do you get to drink from the River of Life and eat from the tree of life if you do not get to enter this kingdom where they are located.

    2. Why are you placed in the same category as those who have tried to alter the bible (i.e. they will never enter the kingdom of Heaven)?

From this point it seems not entering the Kingdom OF Heaven is a punishment, and it certainly means that a person will not eat of the tree of life or drink from the rvier of life which are in the Kingdom of Heaven whcih has the names of 144,000

As Jehovah witntesses of the great crowd, you keep tellnig me you are not of the 144,000

    3. So please tell me why you are extremely happy about being not being able to eat from the tree of life and not able to dribk from the river of life which are in the Kingdom where the 144,00 get to dwell.

When Adam was on Earth God wanted him to Eat form the tree of life so he may live forever

Now that tree is in the kingdom of the 144,000 a place you have said is off limits to yourself , how do you get to eat from the tree and live forever?

Jehovah wintesses tell us that a person has tobe a jehovahs witness in good standing with the Watchtower in order to survive the battle of aramageddon

Since the watchtower hotel was built in 1840, I would like to know what was the NAME of the organization you had to be in good standing with before 1840

Where was it based? and what was their message?

for example in the 1700's what was the name of the ORGANIZATION people had to be in good standing with in order to survive the battle of armageddon?

  • Muslims if idolatry is unforgiveable, then why do you insist on hoping to convert Christians and jews?

In your eyes, we are already idolaters and cant be forgiven

infact muhammeds father is an ioldater as he did not even know who allah was

infact all the arabs before the birth of muhamed are iodlaters as the pagan arabs worshipped 360 moon gods, one for every day of the year, surely they too are guilty of the shirk

Wehn islam conqquered most of the middle east, what did iit do with all the idolaters, like the egyptians, if they just became muslims then what about the shirk they had already commited

in short, there is no ponit for anyone in a different religeon to become a muslim as they have already commited shirk

    isn't this the case?

  • jo ho's did the jews consider it possible to blaspheme against a created angel and violate the 3rd commandment?

    John 10:33 NWT

The Jews answered him: “We are stoning you, not for a fine work, but for blasphemy, even because you, although being a man, make yourself a god

Other bibles say 'make yourself God'

But your bible says that by calling himself a created Angel the jews were angry because he blasphemed

When was it considered blasphemy to use the name of a created angel in vain?

The book of Exodus tells us that only God almighty can be blasphemed against

    Exodus 20: 7 NWT

“You must not take up the name of Jehovah your God in a worthless way, for Jehovah will not leave the one unpunished who takes up his name in a worthless way

Your bible says that the jews wanted to stone Jesus for blasphemy because he called himself a created angel

DO you consider it possible to blaspheme agaisnt a created angel?

My bible says they accused Jesus of Blasphemy because he called himself God

    What shoudl i beleive ?

1.The KJV where The jews wanted to stone Jesus for blasphemy because he called himself God

    2. Or the NWT where it says the jews wanted to stone Jesus for blasphemy because he called himself a created angel?

Do you think that the sanhedrin considered it blasphemy to use the name of a created angel in vain?

How can this be considering there were probably thousands of jews called Micha'el at the time?????

  • Evolutionists, what in your opinion evolved first, blood or blood vessels?

How did blood come about, what was the point of it, assuming the lifeform was able to respire perfectly well for millions of years without it

And what in your opinion evolved first, blood or blood vessels

Blood without blood vessels, quite hard for it to get to where it is needed, essentially pointless

    Blood vessels without blood.....hmmm

of course they couldn't have both evolved at once, evolution is about small random mutations

so what came first, blood or blood vessels?

    thanks

  • Muslims why did Allah give Pharoah the power to turn his staff into a snake to attack Moses?

    In the Exodus story

God almgihty allows Moses to turn his staff into a snake and he throws it at the feet of Pharoah

Moses can do this as it is the one true God who Moses worships, therefore Moses is able to do miracles in his name

Pharoah does not worship the one true God, and therefore is not able to do miracles in his name

Then how was Pharoah able to turn his staff also into a snake to attack Moses snake?

Pharoah would not be able to do this in the name of the one true God as he did not worship him

Pharoah worshiped many pagan gods and he would have done this in their names and using their rituals

if these pagan gods and fallen angels do not exist, then whose authority did pharoah use to turn his own staff into a snake

the only other entity who could have done this was Allah, the question is why does Allah give pharoah his authority when he never worshipped him, and to use his snale to attack moses

    Why?

what other additions or aspects will you bring to this question?

  • Muslims, How is it at all possible to blaspheme against a man?

The laws concerning blasphemy were first given to Moses and according to islam, moses was a muslim

    Exodus 20:7

Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Blasphemy is to take the name of the Lord in vain

to mis-use God's name or to swear and mention God's name or as a curse word, this is mis-use of the name of the Lord

In short, Only God can be blasphemed against

Notice Moses could not be blasphemed agianst, neither could any other prophet as they were not God

Then how is it at all possible to blaspheme against Muhammed?

YOu can only blapsheme agaisnt God,

Muhammed is not the Lord therefore it is impossible to take his name in vain

There were thousands of people called Muhammed before the 'prophet muhammed' was born

There are millions of people called muhammed now,

How is it possible to blaspheme agianst any one but God

if your argument is becuase of what muyhammed did or what he said, how does this exclude people like moses

it is impossible to blaspheme against moses, whose miracles are remebered by Everybody such as parting the dead sea

therefore how is it possible to blaspheme against muhammed

Only God can be blasphemed against

If anyone else thinks they can be blasphemed against surely this means they are calling themselves God,

or they are attemtpting to give themselves the same Attributes as GOd, e.g. a name which can be blasphemed against

Not even moses can be blasphemed, or Adam or Daniel or Lot, they were all prohpets, so why does Muslims think Muhammed can be blasphemed against?

1.Who is the angel of the Lord ?

Why does he seem to think that it is he that has made a covenant with people, i thought it was Jehovah who made a covenant

    Judges 2:1

Then Jehovah’s angel went up from Gil´gal to Bo´chim and said: “I proceeded to bring YOU up out of Egypt and to bring YOU into the land about which I swore to YOUR forefathers. Furthermore, I said, ‘Never shall I break my covenant with YOU.

  • Muslims What is the name of the Messenger of Allah who delivered the Quran to Muhammed?

Muslims tell me that Muhammed is a prophet

They also tell me that he is the messenger of allah

A messenger is someone who delivers a message

    Angel is greek for messenger

One may therefore assume that Angels are the messengers of allah

This is highlighted by the fact that the Angel Gabriel in islam delviered the message of allah the quran to muhammed

Therefore in easy simply to understand terms why Dont you call Gabriel the messenger of allah

He has been delviering allahs messages before muhammed was born

He delviered the meesage of the quran to muhammed

Therefore Gabriel an angel is the messenger of allah

Seeing as Gabriel is the messenger of allah and always has been

then what does that make muhammed?

  • Why was there no Muslim outrage, protest, or demonstration when Lars Viks drew picture of Jesus?

Lars Viks drew pictures of Mohamed in Sweden

He drew the Mohammed's face on the body of a dog, which attracted anger from around the world

He has been attacked publicly in sweden, needs police protection and now lives in hiding

Before this, Lars Viks drew a picture of jesus but as a paedophile

no one attacked him because of this

What i dont understand is that often hear muslims say we love all our prophets equally, or that we love jesus more than the Christan's do

Why is it there is not a single voice of islamic condemnation when Lars Viks draws your prophet jesus as a paedophile?

no outrage, no demonstration, not even a single bad word

it would appear that when it comes to the love of all prophets equally, that muslims are very selective about which of their prophets they are ready to defend

The question here is, why was there not a single Muslim demonstrating, attacking or even slightly outraged when Lars Viks drew their prophet jesus as a paedophile, in comparison to the world wide rage when Lars Viks drew Muhammad with the body of a hound, if they love all their prophets equally, or indeed love Jesus more than the christians do?

  • Jehovah witnesses what does Genesis 3:8 in the NWT actually mean?

    Genesis 3:8

Later they heard the voice of Jehovah God walking in the garden about the breezy part of the day

    Either they heard God walking

Or they heard his 'voice' walking

since voices dont walk i think they heard God walking

If they heard GOd walking this implies that he has legs,

Why would a spirit need to walk?

How does a spirit walk? maybe this spirit is capable of walking and presenting itself to Adam

    Yout thoughts please?
