  • My computer tells me internet explorer is not up to date and I need to install adobe flash player. Not true.?

I keep going to webpages that tell me internet explorer is not up to date, but when I click to update, Internet Explorer tells me I have the most recent version. Facebook this morning told me to update my browser. I often find that I have to go to compatibility settings and add the site that I am on to get the webpage to work correctly. And also, I can't play videos off of yahoo because it tells me I 'need to download Adobe Flash Player, but I have that as well. Any suggestions? Thanks.

  • Any vets? Dosing question Dexamethasone?

My cat has pemphigus and I had finally gotten her into remission on the dexamethasone. We moved the dosage to every other day 10 days ago. I have noticed signs of the disease again, a scab on her head and below the mouth and her ear is twitching.

She had her pill yesterday. Should I give her another today because of signs of the disease returning. I won't be able to talk to the vet until tomorrow. Should i wait to hear from the vet or should i go ahead and up the dosage, giving her one today?

  • Timing belt question (Honda Civic)?

I have a 1997 Honda Civic HX with 125,000 miles. I was told i should change the timing belt because if it breaks that will cost me the value of the car to repair. Its a great fuel efficient car, and i want to keep it healthy, so a few questions:

What is the function of a timing belt?

Is there a way to check the belt easily?

Would you recommend changing it (and the water pump), as that would cost me $1,000.

  • How can i repair a cracked/chipped acrylic painting?

I recently returned from abroad and the day before my flight a good friend gave me a (rather large) acrylic painting on canvas. Unfortunately i had no time to research how to get this home, and as i was already bringing home 2 cats, i felt i had now choice than to take it off the frame and roll it up.

Unfortunely, when i unrolled upon arriving home it had a area where the paint had chipped off and wants to chip more, other areas where it is beginning to peal off and other areas where it is cracked. (This may be because the painting, although dry, was painted a few days before i left and finished the day before).

I don't have a lot of money, and i am afraid to transport the paiting. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can repair it, or at least prevent further damage. Can i use glue? The painting means a lot to me and its beautiful.
