If you were invited into somebody's house, would you insist that they change their furniture round?
I suspect most of you wouldn't. So why does Herr Ratzinger feel that he can tell us in Britain what laws we should live by.
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy do nice people worship something so nasty and vicious as god?
Any supreme being that can allow something like Haiti to happen cannot be anything I would want to worship.
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoReligionistas: If you're so sure god is anti-gay, why didn't he make it one of the ten commandments?
Along with others he missed, such as:
Thou shall not abuse young children
Thou shalt not commit rape
Thou shalt not keep slaves
Aren't these more important than worshipping false idols.

3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIf a god did create the universe, why bother filling it with neutrinos?
Neutrinos are elementary particles that often travel close to the speed of light, are electrically neutral, are able to pass through ordinary matter almost undisturbed and are thus extremely difficult to detect. Neutrinos have a minuscule, but nonzero mass.
Seems a bit of a waste of time making something that is not going to interact with ordinary matter.

19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIf the bible thumpers are so sure their book condemns homosexuality...?
How come their hero, Jesus, never said anything about it?
24 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWas god the world's first terrorist?
When Pharaoh refused to let the Israelites leave Egypt, god conducted a campaign of terror against Egypt on their behalf. As semtex hadn't been invented (why could god create a universe in 6 days but not invent semtex or dynamite is a mystery), he/she/it resorted to other methods such as various plagues, which surely also makes him the world's first bio-terrorist.

About a man who came along in a big boat and took kangaroos, wallabies, koala bears and dingos on board.
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy didn't Herod follow the star?
Or if he couldn't see the star, why not just follow the three wise men?
Was it because god secretly wanted Herod to have all those babies slaughtered?
